Zte blade S7 t920 bootloop, factory reset from stock recovery doesn't help - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can anyone please help me for a solution to recover my phone from it's bootloop state, I tried factory reset from stock recovery but it doesn't help, phone still unable to boot to homescreen. Been looking all over the Internet but no luck finding the firmware for ZTE blade S7 t920. I haven't enable the USB debugging on the settings so my pc doesn't detect the phone

Not sure if you manage to sort out you problem yet but you can download a ROM from the ztedevice dot com website and copy the update.zip file to the root directory of your memory card then you do the following:
Forced upgrade (for the phones that cannot be started or the phones that cannot enter standby state)
1) For a powered-off phone, press and hold both the volume key + and power key to enter into Recovery mode.
2) Press the volume key - to select apply update from sdcard, and press the power key to confirm it.
3) Press the volume key - to select the update.zip file, and press the power key to confirm it. The phone completes the upgrade process in about three minutes.
4) On the Upgrade Complete screen, select reboot system now and press the power key to confirm it.

[Q] need help - galaxy tablet 10.1 p7510

Hi ,
by mistake i deleted all ROM's and i am in recovery mode without any ROM< to install . i tried to connect it to my PC to see if i can put it via USB new ROM but dont see nothing in my computer . any advice what i need to do ?
put the tab to the download mode and use odin. It should work
Boot your Tablet into Download Mode (Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons, when turn on Release the Power button but still hold the Volume Down button. then Volume Down Button Navigates Volume Up Button Selects)
Plug your Tablet into your PC and wait for it to connect.
open ODIN3_v1.85.exe
Select the PDA Button and then select the P7510XABKMP_P7510UEKMP_HOME.tar.md5 file (find in sammobile page or google search)
Hit Start and that process should take a couple minutes as it will put your Tablet back to the Factory ROM and Recovery and Kernel Images.
After it finishes it should reboot.

Thanks for telling ! I had been looking for this information for a long time.
Apparently, my service info says "bootloader unlock allowed: yes", I wonder if it means that I actually unlocked it or that the device would accept me to do it.
I moreover wonder how one can manage to install CM or root its device without using Recovery Mode. I saw on your signature you rooted your device. May I ask how you did that ?

It means your bootloader CAN BE unlocked.
To install a ROM, such as CM, you first unlock your bootloader, then move the ROM zip to your device. After that, you flash the included kernel from the zip with fastboot. Then, you boot into the included recovery from the kernel and flash the whole ROM.

I finally found a solution to my problem : I unlocked the device using flashtool-0.9.11's gui procedure, instead of flashtool's fastboot. It succeeded and I can successfully flash anything I want on the device.
I found your rational approach to my problem useful. It helped me isolate a solution. Thanks !

Tablet is not booting up :( Only Recovery Mode works

Hi guys,
I just used Download Mode + Odin to push T110.CWM.v6.0.4.8.tar.md5 to my T110 Tablet.
After that I could boot into CWM-based Recovery v6.0.4.8 without issues.
Then I installed the zip file android-armeabi-universal-root-signed.zip
After that I rebooted. And since then I was not able to boot into Android or even Download Mode.
Only Recovery Mode works.
Then I tried to run adb devices from Windows and it reports my device ID number + recovery.
Now I was hoping somebody could help me with some adb commands to get this thing working again.
My initial goal was to root and upgrade from 4.1.2 to 4.2.2.
I would prefer using this lite rom T110UEUANE4.LiteV2.Rooted.Deodexed.June2014.zip instead of the official rom T110XXUANG2_T110OXAANG2_XEO.zip.
But at this point I would not care to much, I just hope it can be fixed again
Many thanks for your help!

Bricked model XT916 not recognized via ABD but recognized by RSD Lite

Hello,
My xt916 bricked for no reason. It is not rooted. Do not respond to any commands such power, power + volume down, power + volume up. The only sign of life is when connected to charger or USB the back home and menu buttons on the bottom light in white.
Searching for solutions I tried to flash stock again with MTK-RSD Lite ver 6.1.6. Used rom XT916_2_26D_2014_A02_MP.mzf
The device appears as connected and enters download mode. The process completes and it shows PASS at the end.
However no sign of life afterwards. Same as before.
Tried to enter recovery mode or fastboot via ADB but when I type adb devices nothing is shown.

Thanks for the tip. Already tried this. The phone only lights up when connected by USB or charger. Whether is connected or disconnected (with battery only) it does not respond at all to any key combinations.
The only noticeable thing it is when connected by USB with RSD Lite software when I try power volume down the phone enters download mode and I can flash a rom.

Is it possible to format the system partition via PC? [no access to recovery]

Hey guys,
I have an odd problem. I have an old Samsung Galaxy S II that has the Home button damaged. I wanted to revive it by installing a Pie 9.0 custom ROM (https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/development-derivatives/9-carbonrom-cr-7-0-t3938111).
I was following the install instructions and initially, because of the damaged Home button, I got into to download mode via ADB to perform the first steps
Code:
0) Install Stock ROM
0.1 After downloading the tools, install the Samsung USB Driver and unzip the file of the rom.
The original rom file is tar.md5
0.2a Boot your phone into Download-mode (Volume down + Power/Standby + Home and hold for 10 seconds).
0.2b Start Odin 3.13.1 in your PC.
0.2c Connect your phone via USB to your PC.
0.2d Press volume up on your phone, Odin should detect your phone.
0.3 In the pit tab on the left side, select the file "i9100_1.5gb-system_6gb-data_512mb-preload_by-the.gangster.pit"
0.4 In AP button, select the tar.md5 file. The Odin app will frozen for a few minutes but do not worry.
After this, select start button. Wait terminate, do not pull the cable
0.5 The device will restart. A message will appear stating that it is encrypted. Turn off your device and enter recovery mode (Volume up + Power/Standby + Home and hold for 10 seconds). Clear Cache and Dalvik / Cache. Restart.
0.6 A warning will appear in the status bar saying that the partition is corrupted. Format the partition. Verify that the partition succeeded in the device settings.
0.7 Charge the phone and follow the next instructions.
I followed the instructions up to point 0.5 at which I realised that I am not able to enter the recovery mode because of the damaged Home button (I know, FACEPALM....). The system is asking me for a password to unlock the encrypted device's storage. I don't know the password and neither does the developer of the ROM so I am not able to launch the system and turn on the programmers options to access the recovery via ADB.
At this point, I am supposed to format the partition to get rid of this encryption problem, so says the developer.
Is there any way I can force the format via PC? The phone is recognized by Odin.
I am really looking forward to your help.
Cheers,
Chris
