Porting to a Mtk6735 Device (Cubot X17) - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Afternoon all,
I have a Cubot X17 (MT6735) Device, now I'm seeing a lack of ROMs for this phone or information on regarding porting.
One thing I have noted with some of the guides I have found, is they require the MT device to have the same chip and GPU, I have managed to acquire the following information of my phone as speaking to the manufacture when they are releasing Marsh Mallow is like talking to a brick wall.
My CPU
Code:
SoC Model: MediaTek MT6735
Core Architecture: 4x ARM Cortex-A53 @ 1300 MHz
Manufacturing Process: 28 nm
Instruction Set: 64-bit ARMv8-A
CPU Revision: r0p3
CPU Cores: 4
CPU Clock Range: 299 - 1300 MHz
Core 1 Clock: 1300 MHz
Core 2 Clock: 1300 MHz
Core 3 Clock: 1300 MHz
Core 4 Clock: (sleeping)
CPU Utilization: 17 %
Scaling Governor: interactive
Supported ABIs: arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, armeabi
Supported 32-bit ABIs: armeabi-v7a, armeabi
Supported 64-bit ABIs: arm64-v8a
AES: Supported
NEON: Supported
SHA1: Supported
SHA2: Supported
My GPU
Code:
<< OpenCL Device - Mali-T720 >>
Device Name: Mali-T720
Device Type: GPU
Device Vendor: ARM
Device Vendor ID: 0x07201000
Device Version: OpenCL 1.1
Device Profile: Full
Driver Version: 1.1
OpenCL C Version: OpenCL C 1.1
Clock Rate: 5 MHz
Compute Units: 2
Anyone shed some light as to if I can port or not. and if not alternative methods?

Try to read around XDA (search)... Found a thread explaining porting of MTK roms..

Found anything yet?
hey mate. I have a Smart Grand sp which is exactly like yours, only the brand name and the model name are different. have you found anything yet? does the ROM need to get ported? can we just flash a ROM from some phone which has exactly the same hardware? (i.e: your phones ROM on my phone?)
Sorry for the amateurish and stupid question if it is, cuz I don't have enough info in this regard.
hope to hear your answer and thank you in advance

[Q] Possible paranoia....

Got my SGSII yesterday and happily rooted it via Supercurio's kernel and restored apps, data etc.
Just out of interest, I ran quadrant and scored around 3000 which I suppose is so-so
However, the paranoia comes in when I look at the CPU info in Quadrant which shows:-
Name : ARMv7 Processor rev 1 (v7l)
<snip>
Cores: 1
Architecture: 7
<snip>
I'm going to hazard a guess and put the single core reading down to misreporting by Quadrant, but you never know....
Any thought?
Regards
Mouse
That most be some mistake ARMv7 Processor rev 1 (v7l) is an "old" processor.
Droid.droidx and HTC incredible got it . And I doubt it scores over 3000 in quadrant.
No, it's not old. ARMv* mean architecture of the ARM CPU. ARM11 mean model or so. ARMv7 is last generation, don't worry. For more info look for ARM on Wikipedia.

1. MOTOROLA SHOLES – DROID
Firmware: 2.1-update1 Processor: ARMv7 Processor rev 3 (v7l) System RAM: 225 MB
2. HTC INC – ADR6300
Firmware: 2.1-update1 Processor: ARMv7 Processor rev 2 (v7l) System RAM: 404 MB
3. MOTOROLA SHADOW – DROID X
Maybe its not OLD but not comply new either.
Firmware: 2.1-update1 Processor: ARMv7 Processor rev 2 (v7l) System RAM: 476 MB
And the paranoia ramps up a notch........
My "Android System Information" app gives the same CPU architecture.
Has anyone else tried this in Quadrant etc???
Btw, "About Phone" in settings gives:
Model Number: GT-I9100
Baseband Version: I9100XXKDJ
Build number:GINGERBREAD .XWKE1
The kernel is Supercurio's

stock orange no kernel downloads or anything gives me:
Name: ARMv7 Processor rev 1 (v7l)
Current freq.: 200MhZ
Max Freq.: 1200MhZ
Min Freq.: 200MhZ
Cores: 1
Architecture: 7
and so on.. is this quadrant misreading the processor as only 1 core or not detecting the other core, or is it that we have only been sold 1 core and samsung have lied to us? my box says dual core and I want it
Being a non-techie and not wanting to stoke paranoia further, I found some stuff on a discussion page that implies that the second core only kicks in when intensive activity requires and therefore may not register...

hi boys and ladies( if any ).
I connect my sgs2 to the computer in debug mode and running ADB with the*cat /proc/cpuinfo
*command, I was presented with the following info:
Code:
Processor : ARMv7 Processor rev 1 (v7l)*
processor : 0*
BogoMIPS : 1592.52*
Features : swp half thumb fastmult vfp edsp neon vfpv3*
CPU implementer : 0×41*
CPU architecture: 7*
CPU variant : 0×2*
CPU part : 0xc09*
CPU revision : 1*
Hardware : SMDKC210*
Revision : 000e

Hello.
If u check with ADB or Android System Info you have info Core: 1 ... but when u check with Quadrant Standard Edition application you have Core: 2
I think everythink is OK and problem is in application.
The 2nd core is hotplugged in and out when needed so many not be always there.

Custom ROM for my Android HDMI stick - Allwinner A13- Cortex A8

Hello XDA Assist,
Please provide the correct forum link or update the thread so that it can reach to correct audience. I have search some thread before starting but can not find anything related for my device.
I am using a Android HDMI Mini PC stick from last few years and now want to install a custom ROM on it but not sure where to start. I have read couple of forums but the information are so vast that i am not able to grab, what i understand that first basic thing to do is to identify your hardware correctly to find compatible custom ROM and that i did using CPU-Z App then i tried to find compatible ROM but i don't know how to relate the chipset information to find custom ROM and what all are the things i need to check before proceed, So can anyone guide me in below please ?
1. Were i can find the custom ROM like CyanogenMod or similar which can be installed on my Android stick?
2. If i found one then what will be the steps to install it?
3. How take a backup of my firmware/OS so that if anything go wrong then i can restore?
My stick is rooted.
