Lenovo Lemon 3 - irritating problems with stock ROM - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi!
I'm new on XDA, so I'm sorry if the thread is placed in wrong subforum - if it is, I'm asking mod to move it in more proper place.
I bought Lenovo Lemon 3 - it was advertised as Vibe K5 Plus, but apparently the seller wasn't that reliable as I thought. As far as I know, the differences beetwen these models are little or none, but I have pretty big problems with the phone.
First of all it has some preinstalled software, which isn't in Play Store and some of them I can't even find in the net. The apps I would like to get rid off are KingRoot, MaxxAudio and SecurityIT. I successfully managed to disable MiBrowser - with help of KingRoot tool Purify actually. I tried to disable SecurityIT also, but if I do that I can't enter Settings->Apps. When I try the com.android.settings is stopped and it's not working till i enable SecurityIT again.
Second of all is that process com.android.phone is stopping randomly. Sometimes I click "ok" and I it starts working again. But sometimes it keeps crashing until I restart the phone. Since it's a dual sim phone and I'm using only one sim I thought that maybe this is causing a problem, but inserting second card wouldn't work, so currently I have no idea what is causing the problem. I tried cleaning cache and appdata with no effect. If the process is crashing and somebody will call - the phone restarts itself when I try to answer.
Thirdly it's hot. Even if I'm not doing anything and all apps are off and Im charging the phone it sometimes says that it can't be charged because of too high temperature on battery. Sometimes it works fine, but sometimes it's too hot too touch and I don't know why.
Oh, and one more thing. Something is installing random software. It looks like every time I open Chrome something is opening new tab and redirecting to PlayStore. I am trying to close these tabs while they're loading, but sometimes it loads too fast. Every morning I uninstall some new app, which is apparently installed by night. And those apps aren't added to my Play Store Account. I have disabled unknown sources, but I can see that phone is checking for updates around 2 a.m - so maybe those apps are from there - but I can't see any possibility to disable auto-updates. I have disabled auto updates in Play Store and I have "Lenovo Enhanced Experience" unchecked. Most of apps I installed from Play Store are games I had on the previous phone so I am sure they're not dangerous. Any ideas to prevent the installation of this unwanted software will be appreciated.
Since I used KingRoot to disable MiBrowser I apparently rooted it, but I was reading that this works only with KingRoot installed and with internet connection. And it's sending some data to China, which is not nice. RootChecker says it's rooted.
Lenovo Launcher it's not great either, I downloaded Lollipop Launcher from store and it works fine, but I had to block Lenovo Launcher from autostart, because it was very irritating and was enabling few times.
I am living in Europe so I was thinking is it possible to put on this phone Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus Stock ROM? Or is it this "trashy" like the one I have? I really like specs of the phone and I don't wanna return it, but I don't like the software behavior. Can you tell me what I can do to improve this? I don't care about warranty and I would like to have pure, non trashy Lollipop, so if it is possible somehow I would be glad for any help.
Thank you in advance for any help!

Lenovo Lemon 3 K32C36 > Cyanogenmod 14 - 7.1.1: SUCCESS
Hi
Did not know where to post this, I was not allowed to post in developer forums:
For those unlucky enough to have bought a Lenovo Lemon 3, I offer hope. My daugther's 'Lemon' now runs cyanogenmod 14 near flawlessly.
Here's what finally did it.
1st you have to unlock the bootloader. I found this page, google translated it,
http://4pda.ru/forum/lofiversion/index.php?t717648-420.html
and near the bottom is this link to a 'one-click bootloader unlocker'
http://lenovo-forums.ru/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=56376
[All this is similar to the Lenovo unbricking described here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/k5-plus/how-to/unbrick-vibe-k5-plus-qfil-qpst-method-t3467830
but a lot of that is not what you need now.]
You have to install and run QPST from this on a Windows machine, and the Lenovo and Qualcomm USB drivers and the Visual C thing too to set it up.
I fiddled for a while but eventually got QFIL to recognize the Lemon. Keep in mind Win is pickier about USB cables than Linux.
Following instructions carefully, that one click then worked!
I moved back to Linux and adb and did the second part (pasting instructions from the Win .bat file into a root terminal). Sure enough, when I booted into recovery I had TWRP! But it showed no files on the Lemon and said there was no OS there! Nevertheless I was able to boot back into the awful K32C36 system with no problem.
So I went back to adb and did it again, but this time from the info and links on this page - but I did not at that time see the need to root.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/k5-plus/development/recovery-twrp-3-0-2-0-lenovo-vibe-k5-t3391100
Beyond all expectation TWRP then booted and all was visible.
I then picked this ROM page because someone had wrote that they had it working on K32C36
https://forum.xda-developers.com/k5-plus/development/unofficial-cm14-lenovo-k5-k5-plus-t3478288
to get this
http://moto.shreps.fr/Lenovo Vibe K...cm-14.x/cm-14.1-20161213-UNOFFICIAL-A6020.zip
Then onto SD card with it and pico 7.1.1 gapps
Install with TWRP (after backing up lame old ROM and wiping system, data, cache, as advised).
Long wait during 1st new system boot (I thought it was defeat) -- but comes the little blue man bringing very good Nougat.
Hope someone gets helped here .

[Q] Optimus T stops functioning after rooting

I recently purchased an Optimus T and rooted it with z4root and then installed Titanium Backup to delete some of the preinstalled apps, like the Pacman Demo.
As I was removing each app, (~5 at this point) the Home button suddenly stopped working, followed by total phone death. Even after factory reset, when I was trying to access the phone, eventually I was shown a "... setup.exe stopped responding..." (or something like that) message and my phone just stayed stuck on the booting screen (android) every time I restart (w/o entering factory reset).
Does anyone have any ideas, or know which apps can prevent the phone from booting properly? A list of safe apps to delete would be helpful too. I thought I was pretty cautious with removing only non essential apps, but it seem bricked. Thanks again!

About list off apps, I have to agree. Even it there is litle problem with dependencies, some minimum describe of these issue will be great!!
So, about your problem - I think, that you will have to download original ROM and do flashing with KDZ_FW_UPdater. (search on xda for more information).
But definitely, if it's possible I would try to install custom recovery throw adb shell (android SDK tools) and do backup of system for possibility to recovery or saving at least few data, and after try wipe and install one of custom ROM.
This happened to me after I tried deleting preinstalled apps on my Optimus One... Sent it in for repairs since it just stopped working. The tech guy said he did a "software update" and everything is good as new (except for the LGMITS error once in a while)
They didn't even bother trying to fix mine. They just told me to send it in and gave me a replacement.
So I finally figured out what I did wrong - basically when I was doing the deleting, I accidentally deleted the LG Home app, which effectively deactivated my (duh) home button and effectively stopped everything from functioning properly. For some reason I thought it was just a simple link from my phone directly to the LG website, as would happen with new PCs very often. Well... won't be doing THAT again.
However, my web2go button isn't working. I have to force quit every time I try to click on it. Can I just get rid of it or will it just give me more trouble later on?
At least you knew what went wrong with yours... I was just erasing CarHome and Layar and the LG App Adviser among other things i wont be using like Twitter and Latitude.
And they even gave you a new one x__x I had to wait 5 days before everything was good as new. After the first fix, USB debugging and mass storage stopped working so I sent it in for another "software update"...

Timmy M20 Root guide/ROMs needed

I recently got a Timmy M20 but it comes with a pesky Trojan virus embedded in the youtube system app (Malware bytes told me). I think the best way to deal with this would be to in install a new ROM. The problem is it's relatively new/uncommon phone and I can't find any resources to help me. Unfortunately as far as I know I can't even root it as it's android 6.0
If anyone has any of the following it would be of great assistance:
Stock ROM for Timmy M20
Custom ROM for TIMMY M20
third party recovery compatible with this phone
advise on viability of porting a ROM from another similar phone(although I think I need the stock ROM to do this?)
Any advice on dealing with this is appreciated. My ultimate goal is to remove the malware but I would also like to install a new ROM for fun/learning.
Specs:
Model: M20
Manufacturer: Timmy
Android Version: 6.0
CPUABI: armeabi-v7ar
Hardware: Mediatec mt6580
Kernel: 3.18.19+

I have the phone and having same problem also. I have searched online for solution but all to no avail. I hope someone here at XDA can truly help out.
No root success
Hi
I'm a complete beginner, prompted by the infuriating malware on my Timmy M20 to try and find a solution.
I've tried Framaroot, didn't work. I've tried downloading Kingoroot to my phone, and also to my laptop and connecting with USB. That didn't work either.
I've subscribed to this thread in the hope that somebody somewhere will solve it.
In the meantime I will keep looking, trying & pestering my techy friends.
I did, however, find a stock Rom - on shareaz.us - downloaded to pc, scanned it for viruses (seems to be clean), so it's there if I need it.
Bump - would also like root guide for timmy m20 pro and timmy m12. Malware installed by default. Not good.
bump!
Same problem here.... got the "stock ROM" from needrom.com. It has even more malware according to Malwarebyte.
Bump - same issue.
I managed to root the phone. Here's what I did (do it at your own risk!)
1 Unlock bootloader.
You need to enable USB debugging and OEM unlocking on your phone
Boot the phone into fastboot mode. Switch off. Vol up & power together.
The phone will give you three choices (in very small fonts so maybe magnifying glasses called for)
Middle option should be fastboot
Choose it
On your pc, you need to have installed fastboot. Google if you have not done so.
On pc, command prompt;
fastboot flashing unlock (everything will be wiped; if this does not work, type fastboot help for a list of commands)
boot up the phone by taking out the battery and switch on as normal. Should take a long time. Everything is wiped
2. Install TWRP
get the file recovery_timmy_m20_pro.img google drive 0Bwq1wxJqkB4nbjZzb3huWF9fZ0U (I cannot post links )
boot the phone to fastboot mode as above
fastbbot flash recovery recovery_timmy_m20_pro.img
Once it's done reboot the phone into recovery mode (instead of middle option in fastboot, it's the first option)
You should hopefully have TWRP
3. Install SuperSU
download latest SuperSU zip file
copy to sdcard.
insert sd card
boot phone into TWRP
install superSU.
Hopefully you are done

Forgot to mention. After rooting, I cannot uninstall Youtube and the other malware as it cause instability. I get "Unfortunately youtube has stopped working" error repeatedly.
Still searching for solution.

Thank you for this! I managed to find a solution to prevent the ads from popping up. I use an app called noRootFirewall and it blocks the virus's access to the internet (preventing downloads of ads, etc).
I will try your root solution now, this phone has half decent hardware so it would be good to actually get it running without malware at some point. Maybe try installing Android 5.0 somehow?

Providing (espionage) malware is a "federal offense" in all countries, I suggest we contact the authorities to take appropriate action.
I had the "Tube has stopped working" screen blocker that was driving me crazy. BUT it turned out NOT to be malware.
When I first received the phone, I turned tube OFF, because I do not use it. THAT is the problem. I turned tube back on after a hard reset, and problem solved. And, yes, even doing a hard reset is a PITA, but it can be done even with the screen blocker, if your fingers are nimble enough to (1) hit the OK button on the screen blocker, and (2) immediately hit the "Reboot OK," button on the box under it, during the half-second that the original screen blocker is recycling. It took me about 40 tries, but I no longer have the problem reported above as long as I leave tube "enabled." Hope this help. I was about to process Timmy through the garbage disposal before I figured this out.
Avast reported Triada trojan has downloaded one more module and "gstore" malware, blocking the phone completely until reboot.
I'll trash this phone and ordered one with OTA Android security patch support.
I just had some problems with my M20 Pro too. I've bought the phone in early july 2017 with a software released 2016/10/29. I've checked for updates several times but the system said that this was the most recent version. After 4 weeks trouble started...
First Google started to warn about the youtube app which couldn't be updated from the app store. Deactivating this app lead to a never ending "youtube was stopped" message loop.
A few days later my wifi switched off randomly and full screen ads appeared where they shouldn't have. Time to do a malware scan... I chose the 30-day-trial version of Malwarebytes and it found 5 trojan infected apps (incl. youtube). But without root they couldn't be deactivated or deinstalled.
After a while Malwarebytes reported that a file called fotaupdate.apk was ready to install, so I installed it. I don't know if this file was already present on the system or if Malwarebytes downloaded it. A few seconds after the installation a download of a system update (2016/11/29) started and installed. The malicious youtube app was still present, but it was the only infected app left. Soon a second update (2016/12/05) showed up. This time the system was free of malware after installation. Shortly after a last system update (2017/08/14) arrived and android is pretty up-to-date on my M20 Pro now.
So, before messing around with rooting and firmware flashing, try to get the ota update to work and install the available system updates.
I received the phone today. It has 2016/10/29 firmware installed, with youtube app infected issue
However when I check firmware update, it says that system is already updated.
Is there a way to force the update or to install the newest one manually?
As said by chameo in his post, the latest should be dated 2017/08/14
thank you

For M20 PRO Model.
And this dated firmware ROM may contain latest malware not detectable by virus scanners yet,
be careful.

I wonder if sharing "fotaupdate.apk" file by Chameo could unlock updates on our devices. If possible, we should give a try.

NO, not from untrusted sources, has the package been verified or has s/he "unknown sources" enabled?
Besides the TIMMY M20 PRO is a completely different model, this package may brick the M20.
@woprr
Wow, that's the pessemistic view of life, eh? With the 2016/10/29 stock software version for the M20 Pro we are already stuck with a malware infected system. It can only get better.... not all of us are fond of flashing firmwares with adb, fiddeling around with command lines or rooting devices with TWRP.
Maybe you have noticed that already the software from 2016/12/05 was malware-free. If there had been malware it would have been discovered within half a year, I guess. But yes, there's always some risk left...
By the way, I doubt that any manufacturer in this highly competitive market can afford to release malware infected software all of the time.
You are right, the M20 and M20 Pro are different models with different firmwares. I've posted my experience in this thread because there are also some M20 Pro owners here, searching for a solution for their problems.
I've found a fotaupdate.apk on a SD card I've used with my M20 Pro some time ago. I've sent it to cinxda to try if it works. We'll see...

Ulefone T1 - any lineageos development?

[email protected],
just bought myself an Ulefone T1 from aliexpress and I am wondering if there is any lineageos development out there for this phone? Is anybody planning to develop for this?
cheers
JohnnyT
Stay tunned. The phone is new and development will yet. Dont worry is a great phone and Ulefone is better than yesterday.
https://www.needrom.com/category/ulefone/t1-ulefone/
It will hardly receive official updates, let alone custom ROMs (same fate as the 96% of MediaTek devices out there).
any update . i just bought this phone from banggood. my asus zenfone 3 wifi is failing. so needed something to fill the gap
Finally received my t1 after 11 weeks of waiting!!
Everything works fine apart from the battery usage which is a round 10% per hour on standby with no usage!!
FOLLOW-UP
Following lots of research found that Whatsapp was still trying to verify the phone thru SMS and was draining the battery. Uninstalled and re-installed Whatsapp and verified by manually entering SMS pin.
Now appears to running okay at just over 2% per hour battery drain with bluetooth and GPS set on.
i think i got a thud. reboots when connected to 5g wifi and sometimes when doing stuff on the phone. what a POS phone. never again ulefone!
I am very happy with my T1. High performance, loads of RAM and storage in a decent looking dual SIM package for a very reasonable price tag. First official OTA update yesterday. Also there are rumors about 8.0 upgrade till end of the year.

Mine does occasional reboot. I think its when my mail app is in 'recent apps'. When I clear recent apps. The phone seems more stable, but it's early days.
If anyone finds a fix, please post to the group.
I had my first ota update so that was a plus although it didn't solve the rebooting or activate the 'so called' second camera.

Do you have yours rooted and your bootloader unlocked? I am getting the update prompt but being unlocked and rooted I'm not sure it will take the update. Some phones tend to brick. Also all of a sudden I am having an issue with "android process.media has stopped" Can't figure out what's causing it but since it started the device has become quite laggy
Mine is not rooted. Its still as out of the box. I have rooted previous phones but find that some of the apps I want to use won't run on rooted phones, like certain banking apps. I don't know if the restarts are an Android 7.0 symptom or hardware/software based. There are so many different views on this it's almost impossible to figure out the causes. For me I keep trying different app and phone settings in the hope that something eventually solves the issue. Maybe a future firmware update will sort it. I live in hope (but don't hold your breath). More likely a new phone will be acquired at some point!
by any chance any of you have gps problems in waze or maps????

you need to proper root with magisk. and only use magisk, not other super user apps.
with magisk hide you can cheat banking apps or any app thinking the phone is not rooted.

Thats useful to know. Many thanks
Made Lineage 14.1 work on my Ulefone T1 (adb shell hacked)
Hi everyone,
i've been digging around for the last few weeks on my T1 and now i've finally made it boot. I dont know exactly what is working and what not but i can tell WLAN is NOT working for now! The kernel repo at my github was not working so i used the stock one. You may download it as well as the TWRP recovery i made alongside the ROM. But you need to wipe /data partition so all user data is lost in the process. Also while TWRP needs a reboot after wiping /data step 2 & 3 may need to be repeated once. For now i was not able to flash and boot the recovery (working on it) but it can be booted into as follows (when booted into the stock system):
UPDATE: Made it work - it's booting without hacking via ADB-Shell. The parts marked --- obsolete --- are not needed any more.
1.) Disable OEM-Lock in Developer-Options (google if necessary how to do that)
2.) Reboot and keep the upper volume button button pressed until it booted into recovery. If the "no command" screen is displayed, press the power and upper volume button together once again and you shuld reside in the stock recovery. Use it to reboot into fastboot (bootloader).
3.) In fastboot mode, while beeing in the same folder as the downloaded files, type the following:
Code:
fastboot boot recovery.img
4.) Wait for TWRP to boot up and enter the following (within the same folder):
Code:
adb push lineage-14.1-*-UNOFFICIAL-t1.zip /sdcard/
5.) Finally you may flash the Lineage zip file in TWRP (if you have wiped your /data partition at least i needed to)
----------------------------------- obsolete -----------------------------------
6.) Let it reboot into system and while displaying the Linage bootanimation (for now) i had to execute a few commands on adb shell. So, with adb installed, you need to enter the following commands in a common linux/windows shell:
adb shell /vendor/bin/nvram_daemon &
adb shell /system/bin/nvram_proximity &
adb shell /vendor/bin/nvram_agent_binder &
adb shell /system/bin/agoldnvram &
adb shell /system/bin/audioserver &

I'm not sure if they are all needed but afterwards my T1 bootet up correcty (more or less). Unfortunately a few drivers are missing as it seems while WLAN is not working for now.

and the recovery

After fixing another few things the only remaining things i found not working are fingerprint & RIL but I'm looking into that right now. The current builds will always be uploaded to:

Hi d0n22, are you still working with this rom?

Help needed - I have an app which bricks my Samsung tablet when I try to install it

Now this is the weirdest thing I've ever encountered! I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet (n5110) which runs TWRP recovery and Resurrection-Remix-5.7.4 (CM13 based). Everything used to work beautifully until the end of July when an app called “EPB DVR Manager” (in the Play store) received an update. My tablet had to do a whole bunch of updates, so I gave it the “go” and Play Store started doing its thing, updating one app after the other.
At some point the tablet froze. Dead. Even the clock in the status bar stopped. I had to reset the device by pressing and holding power until it rebooted. The next thing was ... boot loop. It seemed to finish the boot animation and at the point when the main screen is supposed to show up it rebooted!
Tried to wipe dalvik & cache. No go, still boot loop. Had to format data to get the device back to life. From there it took me quite some hours of repeated tries of restoring 100+ apps and crashing the device all over until I figured out that it was this specific app - the “EPB DVR Manager”. After figuring out that this app causes the problem, I did two more attempts to confirm what is going on:
First, I did a wipe of dalvik, cache & data, reboot, android setup wizard (setup Google account). Then, as the first action at all, I tried to install the “EPB DVR Manager”. Boom - device messed up again.
Second, I reverted back to stock firmware (kitkat) and installed the “EPB DVR Manager” - no problem at all. So it has something to do with the Resurrection-Remix ROM, but here's the thing:
I have 3 different devices (a Moto G 3rd Gen, a LG GPAD 7.0 and that Samsung Note 8.0) and all three of them run Resurrection-Remix 5.7.4 and the Samsung is the only device which all in a sudden has these catastrophic problems with the latest version of this app (earlier versions installed/updated fine).
Now I understand that my devices run different kernels with different hardware drivers despite all of them running RR-5.7.4.
I would really like to get a clue about what the heck is going on here. Now before y'all are telling me that RR-5.7.4 is dead because it is based on CM13 - I know that. Still, RR-5.7.4 is a way better daily driver than the newer Nougat builds. So how should I try to get “live logs” because the problem always ends in a crashed installation and Android needs a full wipe to recover. I would like to find out what is going on to be able to let the app developer know about the problem (if the app's apk is at least partially to blame).
Even if it turns out that it is RR's fault (and therefore the bug will not be fixed because RR-5.7.4 is dead) I would still want to learn how such a simple transaction like installing an app can cause such a dramatic (and 100% reproducible) crash of Android's data partition.
Thanks for any suggestions on how to catch logging information for this kind of mystery.

[Discussion/Q-A/Help] Tired of buggy Software/ROM, Need your help to Fix It.

So I bought a new Poco F1 few days ago. And since I've been using it, I've been facing bugs.
So when I got the device it had Miui 9.6.14 installed on it. And I just wanted to unlock it and root it asap. As you know you have to wait 3 days to unlock it. But as soon as I put in the unlock request i.e by going to fastboot and on mi unlock it shows 99% complete then it says you have to wait for this much time.
As soon as I did that, I faced the first bug. That was related mobile network settings/usb tethering/*#*#4636#*#* code (engineering mode IDK). So when I clicked on usb tethering, turned off mobile data/wifi, or the phone lost signal, it rebooted, from boot splash (not boot logo). Maybe this was the ROM's way of preventing any big bugs why do I think that? I'll explain later. So after rebooting I could turn on/off usb tethering but not mobile data or wifi. I can turn them off as soon as the phone boots but if I do it later i.e. after unlocking the phone, it rebooted.
So this is one of the bugs that has been consistent, the one that never got away. Well sometimes it did went away but not for long. Like sometimes if I haven't turned off the internet in a long time or restarted the phone properly, the data turning on/off doesn't reboots the device, IF the device isn't connected in usb tethering. Like few days ago I discovered that usb debugging could fixed it, but that didn't lasted long either. Sometimes turning off usb tethering then mobile data very quickly afterwards worked, but didn't lasted long or only sometimes it would work.
So the advice I got earlier was that, just flash a new software. While I didn't technically flashed the new software, I flashed the similar software, deleting all user data & everything, but that didn't helped. As it seemed in the beginning, that bugs weren't there but they started appearing later on. Now IDK if I used a locked un-rooted device, these bugs wouldn't appear, not too sure about that.
And you maybe saying, well you didn't flashed the newer version of the rom, then that's the problem, Well IMO it isn't. Here's why - So when I flashed the same rom, the phone got locked cause I forgot to select the "clean all" option in MI flash instead of "clean all and lock". So I unlocked it again, flashed twrp and as you may know that when booting twrp for the first time it asks you two options, "allow system modifications" & "read only". And the last time I flashed it I chose the read only option. But this time it didn't asked me. Now do you understand? As I'm not an expert in this, the guy who gave me this solution said maybe the device tree wasn't cleared. So how does flashing a new version is gonna make a difference if all of the files don't get deleted? If it's not gonna start fresh? I also used the command "fastboot erase recovery" (as suggested by that fella), that didn't helped either, just an FYI.
So I decided to install other roms, thinking maybe that could help. It seemed like working in the beginning but soon it started to fall down. First OS I installed, Pixel Experience, didn't had such bugs earlier, but there was a little one. If I disconnected the phone while it was in usb tethering mode, it would reboot the same way it did with miui. If you turned usb-teth off first, it didn't rebooted. So I thought I could live with that. But later more bugs started to appear. The same thing, turn off the internet and the phone restarts.
Remember when I first said maybe it was OS's way of not having bigger bugs, So that happened this time. New bugs like when I try to get into an app's info, the settings would crash (stopped working). BTW you could getting into an app's info if you are able to find the said app, by going into storage, then to apps. Moreover sometimes when I'd try to open the camera it would just show blank, or very dark image of the environment, not moving though, and sometimes, it would just work.
Then I installed Lineage OS. Didn't find such bugs, but I'm pretty sure if I do all this usb tethering stuff in there as well, I'm gonna find these bugs.
Now you might be thinking that how am I installing all these roms, well that's cause of MultiROM. And if anyone here is gonna say well that's the problem. STOP! Stop right there. These bugs were present there before I even used MultiROM.
Some other bugs I'm facing RN in Miui -
Auto Rotate not working. If I want to go landscape, I'd have to open an app/game that opens in landscape and switch from there, cause it gets stuck, vice versa for portrait. And you can only view it in default position i.e. you can't rotate to other landscape position if you wanted.
Camera not working, showing "can't connect to camera" error.
When I play offline games while these bugs occur. When I connect the headphones, the audio also comes out of the speakers. After I restart the phone properly, that stops. (This bug was also present in earlier stages when MultiROM wasn't used)
When going into second space, I created a txt file in mixplorer and when I try to open it, the system reboots. And I just checked by installing a root checker in second space, it says not rooted, wow!
When going to default file manager and tapping on storage, it said "disconnected" and few seconds later saying something like "couldn't add error 10000". This used to happen before but not now, neither I use the default file manager anymore. Though if I'm too quick and unlock the phone, open a file manager or any app that uses storage, it would go blank. Don't know if the storage crashes or something else. But after a restart, it's fine.
One thing, after the phone restarts when these bugs happen, "Find My Device stopped working" or something similar always appear, I don't remember the exact message.
[*]There are somethings Gcam related but I don't think they're 100% bugs related. Cause I installed the latest version on Lineage OS and it works as far as I used it even features like Night Sight and Slo Motion. Now those errors could be related to older android versions or something else IDK. Things like camera lagging in picture mode not in video mode and some version just straight up not working even when they're supported by older android 8.1.
Now could it be a hardware problem, IDK as I said I'm not an expert. These other bugs could've appeared cause of MultiROM or me flashing a new firmware over older rom version in order to install PE, again IDK.
Fair warning : If you're just gonna come here and say, Oh! this all cause of MultiROM or cause you didn't installed newer miui, then don't waste your time, cause I'm not gonna read any arrogant answers. Neither if you say, try to do this or that. I'm not here for that either. Cause if I wanted to do hit and trial, I could've done it myself
But if you understand the situation and can provide expert help, then only please reply. So if you're willing to help & understand properly, and you want anything from me, like logs etc. just tell me how to do it, I'll provide. Or if you know some way to do proper fresh install, only if that can fix the bugs so that I don't have to deal with them anymore, I'm looking forward to your reply.
