(Linux experts only ) convert dump to IMG - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all.
I'm not able to create an image file for LiveSuit to flash an A10 Allwinner based tablet.
have been following tons of tutorials but Linux to me is something too hard
http://www.allmost.org/2012/11/how-to-allwinner-image-building-or.html
I already have dumped the firmware images with Uberizer software but I need to create this IMG file for LiveSuit, ,PhoenixSuit or PhoenixCard programs
it's very simple to flash Rockchip based tablets with RK Android Tool but this process doesn't work on Allwinner based tablets unfortunately.
the question is: could someone here make a LiveSuit image for me ?
I just have to upload the dumped files: boot, bootloader, data, recovery, system...
thanks :good:

to the top !

Request help about cooking RK3066 frameware

sorry that as my first comment on this forum, i post this question here.
i have looked for suitable response in many forums , but i could not find anything useful. I have a Chinese tablet in which RK3066 chip-set is used within. i came across some problems while customizing its frame-ware, so i think i should seek for your dear expert help.
the procedure was in this way that I used "Wendal Tool program" to unpack my frameware , so that 5 files extracted from that file:
1- Boot.img
2-Kernel.img
3-misc.img
4- recovery.img
5- system.img
for making sure that the procedure is going in the right path, again i packed above mentioned files with "Wendal Tool program" and as a result "Update.img" appeared, then I flashed this file by "RK tool" in tablet and everything went ok.
my question is here that how should I customize "System.img" in a way that after customization , the output file format to be ".img" not ".zip" ?
(I customized "system.img" by "Dxa kitchen" but my output file was ".zip" extention")
kindly provide me with your solution in a most understandable way . thank you in advance.

[Q] How to capture a .img file after all Apps got installed

I am looking for ways that i can capture an android rom (.img file) and restore it to other same devices by using Rockchip Batch Tool 1.7
Here is my situation:
We have lot of android devices need to be deployed (MK 902). The original rom was 4.2 and I use Rockchip Batch Tool 1.7 to reload a rooted 4.4.2 img file. then I installed some APPs we needed. I dont want to go through app installation on all devices. So I am looking for a way that i can capture the img file after all APPs installed, then later on i can only use that Rockchip Tool to restore my img into rest of devices, just like Windows image restore.
I did some researches but didnot find any easy way to do so. looks like i have to unpack the image, modify it then repack it again. ....... I dont know how to modify the img file so i am looking for an easy way to do this.
Anyone knows any App or easy way?

How to convert PhoenixSuit image format?

Hello all,
I'm new to xda forum, so apologies if anything isn't formatted right or if this is in the wrong place.
I'm working with an Android device that uses the Allwinner A64. I've got an image (*.img) file that is from the device manufacturer. Ultimately, my goal is to be able to write a script that flashes the device without having to press any buttons from a Linux computer.
That seems like it should be pretty simple if you have the correct image file.
1. adb reboot bootloader
2. fastboot flashall <image.zip>
Unfortunately, the image that I have from the device manufacturer is in some kind of PhoenixSuit image format. I was able to unpack the file using imgrepacker (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28329544&postcount=1) but it gave me a bunch of *.fex files that I'm not sure what I can do with.
Using this image, I've been able to flash the device using PhoenixSuite on Windows and LiveSuit on Linux, but both of these tools are close sourced (as far as I can tell) so I can't figure out how they are doing it to write my own script.
So my question is:
1. How can I convert the PhoenixSuit image that I have into something that works with flashboot flashall?
2. If thats not possible, how can I script something that will flash on Linux using the image in its current format?
Thanks a ton!
