Hi all,
I have an Huawei Honor 4A that was bought in China. I'm trying to install Google Play store, but am having issues trying to install it on the device.
I tried to download the Google Play and Google Play services apks and manually install but the app just hangs on the loading circle. I've also tried installing via the Huawei store, but get the same issue.
It seems that one solution I've found is to root the device and copy GoogleLoginService.apk and GooglePlayServices.apk files to system/app. I've tried to root the device using KingRoot 4.1 but get a "Root strategy unavailable" message.
I've contacted Huawei regarding a bootloader unlocking code, but have to wait 14 days for this.
Can anybody suggest a way for me to get Google Play installed on this device?

I've sent details in a private message as I can't post links in threads.
I've also found an official ROM that contains google services. Does anybody know if I can install this official ROM with a locked bootloader?

You can always install stock ROM on a locked bootloader, either do it via adb sideload or do it via fastboot flash.
If you want to install Google Play on Huawei, you have to get an older version. The latest version that you already installed is not compatible with your phone. Take a look on Google and search for the older one.

I have this Huawei medipad 7 youth model number S7-701wa, I am trying to find stock rom for this model number. I tried to do the hard reset for this model but for some reason its not working. I would like to bring it back on stock
On Huawei website i found some of the models S7-701u and S7-701w but not for S7-701wa , i already tried stock rom for those models but did not work.
Could anybody please help me in this.

the s7-701wa is a Japanesse version, you must search for this firmware in google:

Trying to find the same firmware. Huawei has been no help at all. Cannot locate the Japanese version S7-701wa_FIRMWARE_Android4.1_C343B003_Japan_JCOM_0501 1XXK.zip as well. If anyone can direct me to the correct site, it would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for being a NOOB, but when I click on those links, or copy / paste them, I get the following error message:

I managed to access the easyfirmware site, but unfortunately it only carries the firmware for the S7-701w which is not compatible with my S7-701wa device.

Well, I'm not OP, but I'm downloading it right now. Turns out this SKU of the mediapad was used for VISA sign up kiosks at Tim Hortons in Canada (My boss gave it to me since the program was discontinued), however being a sign up kiosk, mine has a locked down firmware which can only access a specific website, which has since been taken down. Also, because of it's locked down state, I can't enable adb debugging to root the device and install TWRP, etc.
I've been able to get into recovery and attempted to flash the 701s and 701w firmware variants like OP, needless to say those didn't work.
EDIT: It seems to be flashing! Thanks so much!

Hello Sir,
I am encountering the same issues. Mine is also a Tim Hortons tablet I'd like to get going but haven't managed as of yet. How did you get yours going? What tools do I need? Any help is appreciated.

i bought the Meitu M6 phone fron china last week .athe phone has great front facing camera with 21 mp front facing camera and also in the back and it run by octa core MediaTek Helio P MT6755 system on a chip. Its CPU runs at 2 GHz with 3GB ram.
Tried all the method to install google play service and market without any luck
Any one can help me to make this done i will be great full since i cant use my phone without google play

You tried all methods from the Web. Which methods have you tried?
I don't use this Meitu but I once used Xiaomi from China. There's no Google Play Store at all (maybe Chinese manufacturers hate Google Play? haha). I had to find Google Play or Google Installer from App Store but i don't know for sure if you can get the apps from your store. Another solution is that you have to find apk file from websites like Download apk file for free, then follow the instructions and hope Google Play Store could live in harmony with your phone. :highfive:

I tried to install deference google play + google play service and manager without any luck !!!!!
I also tried the google play installer that used to install google play in Most chines phone and didn't work!!!!
the result is always white screen without lunching the any thing!!!!

No it can't. This is one of the things you have to look out for when buying devices from China. You get what you pay for.

If you can find something that will root a knock off then you maybe lucky but without root there is no option. Really should have done more research before you bought a device that you might not be able to use. Mainly one from China.
I had the same problem with a blank screen when installing Google Playstore on a Xiaomi phone. I just updated the existent app using another app store named Aptoide. It worked for me, maybe you could try this one!
I'm guessing no one has found a solution? I'm interested in rooting for the Meitu M8.

Good night everyone , hope someone can help me solve my problem, i've tried all i could but i can't seem to fix this.
I used to have my Huawei GR3 Rooted, used kingoroot and then replaced it with SU, then i unrooted and flashed stock rom C328B126, phone stopped getting otas around this, so after a long search i found that i could get the otas manually with Huawei Firmware Finder but it only had from C328B128 onwards... no problem here, managed to find the full rom and install it, thing is, that program doesn't have the otas from C328B129 to C328B132 it says they are no longer on the huawei Hicloud server which finally made me give up, so my question is, is there a way to force my phone to download those otas or will i be stuck forever on C328B128 since i can't do the ota update order ?
EDIT: Found the solution, had to download C328B133.

There's a app called Huawei Firmware Finder, you can either download it on the playstore or google the windows version, then search for the firmware on it.
Take not that you need the B128 installed cause it searches for it, not the B126.
I'll pm you with the link to save you some work.

Hey, i have a Huawei GR3 Tag L21C328B128, it's not rooted. I used Firmware Finder, i found the latest firmware, i followed the instructions, the phone reboot, start updating then it shows an error.
My question is, do i need to root my phone to get the update with FF ?

I have tried by simply nothing is happening, if I start this app. The china Rom doesn't have any Google Play services also any google account! The Play services are crashing while and after installing until I unsinstall them. I'm using the phone in Germany, maybe it is something with that issue?

Ugh, I guess I should have been more careful before buying this phone. Anyone have luck getting Google Play to work on the H968 model?
And in the most extreme case, what would be the risk in trying to flash a rom from one of the other dual sim V10 models?
I bought chinese version of V10 thinking that I would easily root it and flash custom ROM, but it turned out to be impossible :/ If anyone happen to know a way to root, unlock bootloader or install gapps on this thing, don't hesitate to share it c:

Would anyone know if it is possible to download the overseas/international version rom/firmware for the Gome U9?
I recently purchased the phone with the international version and thought I might be able to root it and remove the default Google apps, but instead I`ve managed to install the original rom (chinese/english), which contains the Gome app store. I suppose I should have checked first what I was installing. Oh, well, no big deal.
Installing a custom recovery is proving a little difficult and I`m struggling to get the Google play store back in. It may not even be possible with this build, so if I could somehow restore it to the international version that will do for now. I`ve found the international version for the U7, but not for the U9. Shame LineageOS isn`t compatible or something else.
If there isn`t a solution, I guess I`ll just have to wait.

As a follow up I have used adb to install a few apps and that works fine. But when I install Google Play and Google Play Services, it just crashes on launch. So, something is causing GP to keep crashing. Once I figure that out I think I`ll be good to go.
