F3212 vs F3216 what's the difference? - Sony Xperia XA Ultra Questions & Answers

Anyone know?

Different LTE bands F3212 - LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20) F3216 - LTE (Bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 28, 38, 39, 40, 41M).

If I were to buy and unlock a XA Ultra from Wind Mobile (F3213); would it work on Virgin Mobile? From what I have researched, I think it would, but looking for community confirmation / perspective.

Hey, I've got the c6806 and I'm on tmobile. It's super fast, and I love it. On days where I just surf the web, listen to some music, answer a few phone calls, I get a solid 2 days before I have to recharge. If I watch a movie in there... a day and a half. My reception is phenomenal and data speeds are fast.
Go for it!

Now available in the US!

Just got an email from Asus with this link...
http://www.zenfone.org/2016/09/zenfone-3-deluxe-now-available-to-buy-from-amazon-in-usa/
Now available from Amazon but only thing is, 64gb and silver is the only choice.
If/when we have a bootloader unlock method, or possibly if the 256gb version shows up, then I'll buy. Don't know what I'd do with an android phone without root. (6p user)
I'm willing to bet the hardware will be exactly the same inside, similar to the Axon 7.
Maybe a similar sort of root method will be available? Fingers crossed...
does it work with the europe frequencies?

My understanding is yes, it supports Europe frequencies.

Considering the ASUS official bootloader unlock tool is available for the regular Zenfone 3 (since Sep 29), I'm willing to bet the Deluxe one is coming very soon.

LTE problem

I bought mate 10 lite 5 days ago from Lebanon and when I'm back to Egypt my home land I discovered that the device LTE bands are not compatible with the network in Egypt.
Is there anyway to solve this issue, or add bands or customize it
My phone is L21
Thanks in advance
The bands covered are a function of the chipset, not the firmware - so there's no possibility of upgrading/modifying/customising your existing device.
According to GSMArena, there are two versions of the Mate 10 Lite - one (presumably the variety you have) which covers LTE bands 1, 3, 7, 8 and 20, and one which is more international and covers LTE bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 28, 38, 40 and 41.

Questions about using this on a different network?

I don't know if this is the correct forum but I'm sure it will get moved if not. So I have Visable wireless as my carrier. It's great because 40 a month gets you unlimited data, and I'm not talking throttled after so much but like I could torrent and watch movies all month with no problem. They use Verizon towers. I broke my crappy ZTE I bought from them. My friend gave me a Samsung A10 which is a much better phone. I tried to get them to hook it up. The rep said it was incompatible. I asked him what frequinces they used. This phone used all the exact same channels as what he specified. Exactly. This is Verizons bands: 3G Frequencies (MHz): 850, 1900
4G LTE Bands: 2, 4, 5, 13, 66. Visable Wireless is a MVNO partner of Verizon. There are using LTE bands: 2, 4, 5, 13, 66. The exact same. My device needs to be approved by Verizon for use on their network. It was sold and used previously as a Verizon device. I think they just want me to buy another crap ZTE device. I should be able to use this is I change my PRL and APN right? I see no reason why not as it's not only compatible but 100% compatible. Its unlocked and has a clean IMEI. The phone its self is a a102u and it specs are: CDMA 2G CDMA: 800, 1900 MHz
GSM 2G GSM, GPRS, EDGE: 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
CDMA 3G CDMA2000, EV-DO: 800, 1900 MHz
GSM 3G/3.5G UMTS, HSPA+: 850, 900, 1700, 1900, 2100 MHz and the important one....4G LTE LTE: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 17, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 38, 39, 40, 41, 66, 71 Bands
4G LTE LTE: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 17, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 38, 39, 40, 41, 66, 71 Bands
Is anyone going to reply to this? I feel like the fat kid getting picked last at dodgeball.

Question Sony Xperia 1 iii Bands

Does anyone know if cell phones have their bands locked by region for example the new Sony Xperia 1 iii has 3 different regions w all different bands, if I buy a phone with the Asian or European ROM and flash the US ROM on it will the bands change and open with the new flashed ROM, or each model has it's specific bands ... Thanks
Each model has specific bands. Although it's looking like in the USA tmobile will have the most band support
I saw that was just hoping that with a ROM flash you could unlock bands by region, wanted to buy the gray 512gb one... I guess not

It has expandable storage so base storage isn't really a big deal. IMHO. I'm currently using a note 20 ultra with 1tb SD card. Haven't run into any problems.
