****This kernel has been built for and thoroughly tested on OctOs rom. It should work very well on most "CM" based roms. We also can confirm (although less tested) that it also works on the following "AOSP" based roms.*****
-Dirty Unicorns
-Pure Nexus
Please do not mirror our files! We can do that ourselves if needed!
I want to give Credits to the following xda users.
@flar2 A huge Thanks to Flar2 for his permission and help

Does this kernel force encrypt???

Am surprised how well the kernel is running. Good work

No It should not. That is left to be controlled at the Rom level but the kernel does support encryption. If you find behavior to the contrary, then please post Rom name and if Rom's Encryption was completely turned off or not.

I can see Hammerhead version on Androidfilehost. Does it have equally features like Shamu version?

If you're referring to DT2S and DT2W then yes it does. If you're referring to Unlock tap Patterns, then that's not baked in.

Just to be straight, if I was to flash CM13 and this kernel it would force encrypt since CM13 in stock form encrypts. Right? I Matt want to be clear on this and I know that it sounds like I am beating a dead horse... Lol.. I have tried it already on other roms but have held off on CM until completely sure. Thank you.

You are correct . CM does force encryption. An alternative that you can do to keep your device unencrypted is using this

That is what I used to be on the safe side. And it worked like a charm. Thank you very much for the clarification.

Man I gotta tell you your bioshock governor is seriously the best governor I've ever used for my N6! This kernel really is solid. Thanks. I hope you keep adding some more things but as it is it fits my needs perfect til Android N drops.

We will be adding more features for sure . We have a lot of devices we are planning to bring up for support so we are getting a solid base with solid features and modeling the rest after that.

Thanks for the kernel, I'm looking forward to putting it through its paces.
Is colour calibration on the way? The Nexus 6 screen is garbage without it.

[ROM] [N5] AOKPK [4.4.4] kitkat daily builds

I'm member of AOKP team and I decided to share my personal builds of AOKP ROM called AOKPK.
AOKPK is unofficial AOKP ROM compiled with KECI-SM 4.8.4 toolchain (thanks to Paul Beeler and Chet Kener) and with some other stuff.
This ROM was created for my personal needs. If you don't like some major part of it, don't ask to change, just use official AOKP builds. But, If you have some tips for minor patches and features, you can ask for it. Just attach link to github/gerrit.
AOKPK is non-CAF and uses my fork of franco.Kernel with latest linux patches and O3 optimized.
So, what is inside?
All official features from AOKP (https://github.com/AOKP, http://gerrit.sudoservers.com/#/q/status:merged,n,z)
Compiled using SM 4.8.4/4.10.0 toolchain (https://github.com/kecinzer/GCC-UBER)
Included forked franco.Kernel (https://github.com/kecinzer/francoKernel_hammerhead) in-line builded with some added stuff
B&W boot animation
cLock (aka Chronus) with integration into RomControl
Removed AOSP Calendar
ART compatible
Many usefull cherry picks from AOKP gerrit (http://gerrit.sudoservers.com/#/q/status:open,n,z)
I compile ROM at daily basis so consider it as daily builds.
All builds are available on goo.im (http://goo.im/devs/kecinzer/aokpk/hammerhead) with Goo Manager OTA update compatibility.
Temporarly you can download also here (http://aokpk.no-ip.org/hammerhead).
I recommand TWRP Recovery and Goo Manager (for recieving OTAs).
Please don't ask about changelog, because I adding cherry picks often and it's very hard to keep trail with it. But I'll try to make changelog for "stable" builds.
And please don't expect much of support, because as it's been told - this ROM is primary dedicated for my own needs.
BTW. I also building for FLO and MAKO.
Gapps
I use Banks standard - http://goo.im/devs/BaNkS/GApps/4.4.2

More features to come.
Please be patient.

And I'm not the only one, the average with optimizations (without overclock) is 35 500...
It seems a little low since you use a custom kernel and compile optimizations (Linaro for Francisco kernel and Saber Mod for the rom, with Bionic stuff if I'm not wrong)...
Just for fun since you begin the bench race

[ROM] VanirAOSP [official] [nightlies] [4.4.4] Linaro+ART optimizations

TeamVanir presents
VANIR
Yeah, it's got a HEMI.
Welcome to VanirAOSP. Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android to as many devices as possible. This is not a kang rom. You will find versions of the features you love that we've rewritten and improved on plus a few we wrote ourselves. we've tried to acheive a more organized and cohesive setup to improve the user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality.
BY LINARO, I MEAN GLOBAL "-O2 -fstrict-aliasing".... we didn't just switch toolchains. Here at Team Vanir, WE GO HARD.
I created this thread with the permission of Dave Kessler, one of the lead devs for Vanir Rom. This is not my work, rather the awesome effort of the Vanir Team. If you feel like donating, donate to the team, not me. I am not a dev in any way shape or form. Calling me a dev is like calling Mark Sanchez a quarterback. The goal of this thread is to help users with issues, and just talk in general about anything really.
If you're the kind of person that needs options to change the font and color on every letter and expect the ROM to end up looking like kid's cereal box then GTFO. You will not find customizations that are done just because someone figured out how to do them. Everything in here has a purpose and is held to a high standard of coding.
General features:
stock mode - ability revert to stock AOSP code with the exception of a few custom features we chose to keep active
enhanced performance.. longer uptime with less slowdown
custom written CRON and init.d.
minor UI and graphics improvements
custom navbar, navring, and hardware key features
active notifications (improved active display + lockscreen notifications)
usability improvements like power reboot menu and sound
animation control
Improved Vanir keyboard
CM's profiles & quicksettings
additional quicksetting tiles
immersive desktop <- fully configurable immersive mode
low profile mode
statusbar mods
clock & battery mods
lockscreen blur and other mods
soon to come -> quick cam and flash notifications
busybox, embedded root, init.d, cron etc
many improvements and new features unique to vanir
more to come when i feel like updating the op
Download
Download - DHO builds
Gapps - Vanir recommends the latest goo.im gapps or DHOs gapps
Issues:
- Flash CAF-Based Kernels with this ROM
- stop flashing the moto X binaries. they do not improve anything for you and aren't even for your device.
- open source camera and launcher3 do not have the same featuers as the google versions. use the latest
banks standard gapps if you'd like these. His gapps are super legit and always up to date.

Pffft... Miscellaneous is NOT a battery drain issue. It is just the difference between the assumed battery usage and the actual battery usage. Since the phone doesn't take into account stuff like idle drain.

{KERNEL}SiliconValley(11-2-15)

hey guys,i noticed that there is not many kernels supporting caf kernel based roms (CM/Vanir series of roms),so im changing that.
this is my person kernel ive been building for vanir (i run nuke's nightlies, but also switch to exodus and DHO's builds).
lets get to the features:
built with linaro 4.9 optimized for cortex a15 with oodles of gcc optimizations
conservative kgsl policy, uses lower frequencies more often and behaves better than trustzone, which in turn creates less heat from the gpu and mitigates power loss due to ramp ups in frequency
conservative mpdecision with frequency controls
tweaked for smoothness
all krait memutils optimizations and optimized memmove and memset
optimized ioschedulers
uksm with decimalmans optimizations
undervolted slightly by default for less heat
overclocked l2 cache & gpu & bus & i2c & cpu
fixed i2c frequencies
f2fs support
wake gestures
motley's enhanced thermal
and ALOT of arm specific optimizationsi suck at ops lol,but id like to thank everyone in my github commit history,i mostly do my thanks on there, but a big thanks to decimalman and tommy-geenexus whos work are really the key parts of my builds, also thanks to poondog for his work gives me a lot to research and learn from, and again thank you to everyone in my git history,i couldnt do anything you guys have.
just flashing the zip should suffice for installation,BUT CHECK YOU SYSTEM/BIN FRO THERMALD AND MPDECISION,if they are still there either rename them with .bak at the end or delete them,ESPECIALLY THERMALD,it WILL cause reboots and sods and MANY other problems if not disabled.

[Kernel][francoKernel base][6.01][Angler] apascual89fk-V21 July 2

apascual89fk kernel- franco based with wake gestures and leanKernel linux version updates
This kernel is for CyanogenMod or CM based ROM. This is based on Franco Kernel compiled with CM ramdisk/source.
No need to flash SuperSU, the built in root access works fine.
These are my personal builds which I've been asked to share.
Kernel Features:
Franco Kernel base
FKUpdater profiles support (do not update kernel from app)
Wake Gestures
CyanogenMod support only
Changelog
V21
Merged in franco r23
Updated linux version to Linux 3.10.102
V8.0
* Franco r6 merged in
* Trimmed down defconfig to make leaner, removed some debug and log spam stuff, etc
V7.0
*Updated optimization flags
*Added Overclocking and underclocking steps thanks to @flar2 & @ak
*Compiled with updated UBERTC 5.3 toolchain
V6.0
*franco.Kernel r5 merged in
V5.0
*Final franco Ramdisk changes
*franco.Kernel r4 merged in
V4.5
*Initial franco ramdisk changes and FKUpdater profiles support
V4
*added BFQ IO scheduler
*switched to O3 optimization
*merged in franco r3 code(that includes high brightness mode)
r3
*random entropy tweaks
*large dm-req-crypt update from CAF-should help with performance on encrypted devices
r2
*franco.Kernel-r2 merged in
*added camera launch gesture by swiping down
*updated linux version from 3.10.73 to 3.10.94
r1-initial release
*franco.Kernel-r1 base
*ElementalX wake gestures
Don't expect frequent builds, will update when possible.
How to flash:
Download boot.img
Reboot to TWRP
Choose "flash image"
Select boot partition
Flash and reboot
Download
Source
Thanks:
@franciscofranco
@flar2

There was one today regarding RGB LED brightness levels. If you think it would be worthy to add it in that will be cool

Name it. Mutation! But thank me in the op
What's your goal with this kernel?
I hope that it stays close to Francos kernel as much as possible with the only difference being that its for CM. There is just something about simple kernels

This baby is Awesome on 6.0.1. You need to already have fastboot flashed your 6.0.1 img files first but getting 6+ hours SOT and very fast.
