(Still) Can't install Remix OS(latest version) for PC on my Windows 10 based Tablet - Remix OS for PC

I have tried many times with various versions of Remix OS, but I am still not able to get it to install properly on my Windows 10 Intel (Cherry Trail z8700) tablet.
The install process (to the C:} hard drive seems to fun fine (no noticeable problems/errors) during the install process. It also LOOKS like all of the proper files were installed to the hard drive. The problem is that the install process doesn't create a boot entry for RemisOS (in the Windows BCD).
I do have EasyBCD and a couple of other BCD editors. Does anyone know what the BCD entry SHOULD look like for Remix OS? Perhaps I could manually create it?

@mediawiz always add your tablet model please.
Your device has most likely UEFI booting, so using EasyBCD is not going to work for you.
You need EasyUEFI. Install it and show me what boot entries it outputs.
You can also PM me and we can set up Teamviewer to solve this quick

How to clean install android on ViewSonic VPad10-Pro-3G

We got a Vpad10-pro-3g tablet which claims to having a "dualboot os" on it. But actually, it has Windows 7 Pro as the main OS and a very obsolete Android emulator on it. (Bluestacks ?) No Google Play, no navigation and no any other thing you can make it with Android.
So my question is; it is probably possible but how to make this tablet "really" dualboot? Like a partition for Windows 7 and a partition for Android 2.x or 3.x, whatever.
I found an ISO image for VPad10 of version Anroid 2.2 but it won't download. It had been located in Google code but its removed now.
Any ideas?
My third question in Xda-Developers; which are all unanswered
I am trying Android-x86 project now. Used LiLi to create a bootable USB flash drive with Android 4.0 image and tried to run it live and worked. Now installing on the hard drive right on the same partition with Windows 7; looks like it will be working. Still waiting for the installation progress to end..
Edit: It freezed the tablet at BIOS screen saying "F2 for setup and F10 for boot menu"
Interestingly with an external keybaord, it can get into BIOS for the few first seconds. But nothing more.. Stuck here for now
Edit2: Managed to make it work with different ROMs but no luck with Wireless, bluetooth and 3G..

Dual boot RemixOS & Windows 10 on touch tablets

Hello everyone and thanks for these great releases!!
I have a Lenovo miix 700 Windows based tablet, and I'm interested in a dual boot with RemixOS and Window 10 using the touch screen only, without the keyboard.
I have RemixOS efi folder extracted and running on the same partition of WIndows (C: ), and I can boot through UEFI normally.
THe problem is - this requires to enter the BIOS in order to chose UEFI OS, which means requires having the keyboard attached to enter the BIOS settings. and being a tablet, I don't have the keyboard with me all the time.
I'm looking for a way to boot into RemixOS from Windows 10, without the need for the keyboard, by using a batch file script or any other application available that will restart the device and boot directly into RemixOS.
I also want to keep both Windows 10 and RemixOS on the same partition , without the need for a separate partition for RemixOS
I know that devices based on Legacy can use easyBCD and iReboot to achieve this, but I couldn't find an equivalent for UEFI bios.
Maybe using METRO boot manager and add an entry for RemixOS? IS it touch enabled?
I'd be grateful for any help to achieve this! Thanks in advance!

Hi, you can check this link:

easyuefi not running well in Win 10 Anniversary Update. I prefer grub2win
any news or tuto to easyboot on win10 tablet without keyboard ?
thanks is advance for your help
That's something I've been trying to get to work in the past days!
I've shrunk my C Partition and created a new one with 16GB formatted in FAT32 for Remix OS.
Extracted the ISO and copied the files onto the new partition.
Added a new entry with easyuefi (Type Linux/other OS pointing to the efi\boot\bootx64.efi file on the new partition)
Created a shortcut for the advanced start %windir%\system32\shutdown.exe /r /o /f /t 00
BUT Remix OS doesn't boot in resident mode (it get's stuck on the Remix OS boot logo) ... in guest mode Remix OS boots just fine!
I don't have an idea why this is happening and how to solve this one ... maybe someone like @RemixOS_Jason does

Does remix place nice with windows 7

I couldn't tell from the cryptic instructions whether I would end up with a conventional dual boot arrangement if I install remix on my windows 7 hp pro x2 612 touchscreen laptop. I don't want to lose the windows 7. I downloaded what I think is the most recent version Remix_OS_for_PC_Android_M_64bit_B2016101201. Also can I burn the iso to a disc (not usb drive) and use the included windows installer. Will remix boot from the disc so I can check it out on my pc before installing it?
Does remix allow installing conventional linux applications such as full libreoffice or is it limited to google play offerings. Is there a guide anywhere to side loading whatever is needed to get the google play store working. Appreciate any help with all these questions. Thanks so much
@spb37
Installing using the official installer will not do any harm to the Windows 7 installation. If you chose to install on the same partition as Windows, it will be placed in a separate folder and a boot menuentry will be added.
So, yes, you end up with a conventional dual boot arrangement
Remix OS .iso was not designed to work on disc mediums so I do not recommend to try and boot from a disc.
Instead, better use a USB storage Device to test Remix out.
Remix OS is a fork of Android-x86 project (coming from AOSP) so it doesn't have a Linux GUI packages installer. You won't be able to install LibreOffice on it.
Play Store comes pre-installed as long as you select the respective option during first boot.
It depend
i've create one partition and install with INSTALL=1
taking grub not grub 2 saying add one instruction for choose os remix or Windows 7 at the starting up (it had work perfectly with the pc of my friend but not with mine .

"Installation Failed" error from Remix install tool on MSI Windows 8.1 PC.

OS: Windows 8.1 Pro 64 Bit
Motherboard: MSI Z97-X-Power AC
BIOS: UEFI
Secure Boot: OFF
Remix OS ISO: Remix_OS_for_PC_Android_M_64bit_B2016101201
Remix OS install tool: Remix_OS_for_PC_Installation_Tool-B2016080802
I am having trouble installing Remix OS on my MSI PC.
Every time I attempt to install Remix OS on my PC using the install tool, it ends with "Installation Failed" error. The install tool seems to successfully copy files to the specified partition. But the problem seems to occur when it attempts to install the bootloader.
I mounted the boot partition & checked it. In all my attempts at running the install tool, it never adds anything to the boot drive.
Please note, I am using a fresh installation of Windows 8.1. There are no security programs installed. Windows Defender is disabled. I have attempted installation using the built-in Administrator account, so there should be no permissions issues.
Can anyone tell me how to manually add the GRUB bootloader manually? I want to achieve what I have with my laptop (GRUB displaying "Windows/Remix OS"...and then Windows Boot Manager loads).

I am also finding the installation failing at the point of installing bootloader. Would appreciate any help you can give.
same for me on my windows qp chinese tablet. Any workaround yet?
I had the same problem. I solved it by doing the following.
First, i tried installing some "Remix OS for PC Hacked Edition", and to my surprise, it worked. The OS boot selection, and the OS both worked well.
Then, I tried installing the original Remix OS again, with the normal method, I selected not to delete my data, and there was no error this time. I'm using it right now

PrimeOS issue

Hello there
I just tried installing PrimeOS for the first time and I get an error message saying Disk service raised an external error Code: 2147024809
I'd like a solution to this problem please if one of the PrimeOS team can help
Another problem I got is after that error a part of my C/ partition where the prime was going to be installed is taken (the installation requires to shrink a part of the partition and it does so without even installing the system but the space is taken anyway) so far around 30 gigabytes are lost and i would like to know how to undo that.
Help would be appreciated

Missing os
Hope I'm on the correct thread.
Acer V5 122P came with Windows 8, updated to 8.1, 10, then CloudReady, PrimeOS ran but CloudReady took over.
Removing partitions with GParted I went too far and now have Missing OS.
PrimeOS is still on drive but won't run.
Windows 8.1 installer says partition is GPT.
I've made a real mess and have no idea how to get PrimeOS working and use my Acer.
Please can somebody help me.
@newbiecaem
To make your Acer laptop useable again do a clean Windows 10 installation.
How to install PrimeOS Android x86 on Windows PC / laptop is explained here.
Success
@jwoegerbauer
Many thanks. I had always wondered what a "clean install" was. Windows 10 now smoothly installed.
Hopefully now to dual boot with PrimeOS.

@jwoegerbauer No success with installing primeos.
If I change boot to Legacy, I get missing OS.
If I leave it as UEFI nothing happens from the USB, it's not even listed in the boot order.
I tried the Windows installer, it didn't work either.
Are you able to help again?
@newbiecaem
To make PrimeOS installation an easy then if you're on Windows UEFI 64-bit use the PrimeOS Installer EXE, and not its image file ISO.
Also make sure Secure Boot is disabled in Windows UEFI.

I tried both standard and Classic. In each case PrimeSwitcher just brought me back to Windows 10.
I guess I'll just have to live with slo..o..o..w Windows 10.
Hi All,
The installation of PrimeOS 0.4.5 was easy. It takes about 15min. on my Lenovo T410 laptop
My issues coming after that:
1.) See almost all WiFi around me except my Samsung S20 Plus 5G Portable WiFi. why?
I see all WiFi routers around me, but none of my WiFi hotspots (Samsung S20+ / Huawei P10 and P9).
I tried with my wife Xiaomi Note M10 phone and working...
Any idea why only MI 10 working?
I tried all frequency combination (2.4 or 5)
2.) Almost all my favorites games are not running. Application closed/crashed during loading. (e.g: Guild Of Heroes, State Of Survival , Asphalt 9, CSR2)
Any idea why?
