Request for roms to port - Desire 816 Android Development
So, hello guys, I have some free time so decided why not port some roms to our dearly beloved HTC Desire 816G (MT6592) reply with any rom you wanted ported and i'll port it and upload it ASAP. I already ported AOSPA and Slim6 so don't ask for it anymore

this is KK rom bro.and as u knw,htc d816g haven't any boomsound feature not even power saving mode.so it would be great rom for d816g users!

I downloaded almost all the marshmallow roms for HTC desire 816g dual sim(6592) from xda.. needrom and many other sources...but regardless of any other bugs... common one was... mounting the internal storage.. I thought it might be recovery problem and so changed the recovery also... but still the problem remains...
So please solve this problem with marshmallow ported roms..

i'm actually having the same problem as you, and believe me the problem isn't from the roms it's from our devices we definilty scrued up something, pm me to find a solution together

Well maybe... but CM12 roms are working fine...r8? How is it possible? Till now I rooted my phone using kingroot only... and flashed 2 recoveries... and so many roms.. both the recoveries from xda... now am using the one you shared...and before I was using twrp 3.0.1...
I don't know any coding or anything... I just google too much?

There is a guide how to make your own ROM. I know for fact that MIUI is going to or is supporting the HTC One X. Maybe you can use that ROM to create your MIUI desired ROM and share it on the forum so that other user can also use it.

Click to collapse well the reason behind micromax devices not having CM roms is, the kernel sources for the MEDEIA TEK MTK processors which are used in our phone isnt available since neither micromax nor MTK is ready to make it public. With out these sources, you cant have overclocking and other CM features ..!! SO wait for it..!! Sony have relased some sources, there are devs already on this. Pray to god that it comes soon..!!

If sources of CM is coming, thats great and welcome. But I think CM team still does not support Dual Sim. The source cannot help for dual sim phones based on MTK65XX. This is not unnecessarily being a begative remark but this is discussed many a times in at least dozens of times and places. Still, may be someone proves me wrong, by making directly the first CM with dual sim for A116, I will appreciate him/her. Best of Luck :good: to all devs. PS: If non-mtk chipset roms like Samsung can be ported for many Micromax models, then technically any rom can be ported. But still, the cm source will give single sim rom. Some discussions read before in xda, but its almost a year before discussion. May be something new has come.
Even if You Get Source it Will be Very hard to Compile Bugless CM...... Faea Team Is Currently Working on it once they done then it can be ported to any mt6589 phone
