AOKP - ANDROID OPEN KANG PROJECT
What is AOKP ?
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.
Why AOKP ?
We were waiting for when you'd ask this.
There are a variety of reasons why a hilly billy Android user, on a bright sunny day, would suddenly start using AOKP and loving it.
For one, AOKP is lightweight. Most OEMs provide a heavy UI layer over Android and have loads of bloatware (i.e. apps that not everyone use every day, but you cannot remove because they're "baked in" by default). Since AOKP is built upon vanilla Android source, it has neither of the above.
Also AOKP has features that you will not find on your stock firmware. You can have a multitude of toggles to quickly flip a lot of your phone's settings right at your fingertips, or you can launch apps quickly from any screen using our Ribbons.
You can change almost each and every aspect of the OS, from its looks to the way it functions, with total freedom. And did we tell you, AOKP helps you make tacos?

awesome rom..but still i'm facing the storage problem..every time i open the camera it's always said " insert an sd card before using the camera"..i try with another camera apps from play store and try to take a photo it said " failed to save photo"..any suggestion?

maybe your sd card is corrupted, try it on another android device if it works it's definitly from twrp

Its good but we have some problem .. its not accept to install fb from store .. and its cant update any app from google store ..

Also bluetooth audio and dt2w doesn't work, I don't know why he say in his post that everything works.
Also I can't see proper credits to Risma ermaya, because this rom is from him, only need to unpack the zip and you can see risma everywhere.

I know how to fix all, sim, bluetooth, dt2w, etc... I only say that you can't say all is working because it's not true, and you take a rom from another developer and doesn't give any credits to him.

Boots up.
CR droid boot animation is sick! Loved it.
Of course as title says it's in alpha "testing" so constant system UI crashes upto the point where the screen completely goes black.
One thing I liked about this build was the resolution looks good UI and stuff (got all this just by looking the pre Google setup screen) All the other ROMs I tested has bad resolution and the screen is just not satisfying but not in this rom!
Waiting for stable build. Like.

idea: format data partition (in TWRP format data -> type yes) then push files and flash again

Just an idea.
We had such a problem with Redmi 4x, after removing the Simtray before first boot the problem was solved.
tried both OP and @ConradB method and @ConradB 's method seems to work.

However, I was having the same problem as the comment above
edit: because this ROM is facing fc issues, I've tried with other ROMs and found that it might be my sd card's issue
Nice to see @gwolfu here! I came from S7 forums. Was on crDroid back then. Excited for developments on this ROM.
System UI force close some times, this is a great build but is "alpha" for me, so i go to try RR, PE and AEX, Lineage is the one works fine for me.

Nevermind, it's got Setup wizard and the ROM seems quite smooth so far.

You need to format data before you flash a new rom to remove encryption (as this rom doesn't support encryption as selinux is permissive)
Format is different from advanced wipe - select the option on the right in twrp wipe menu
Backup anything on internal storage first
Alternatively in fastboot mode type
fastboot erase userdata

I have a couple of problems that I have faced:
- no sound detected if I use anything other than handheld speakerphone while using apps to make calls like Whatsapp. Normal dialer works fine.
- it could be just my device the clock keeps resetting everytime i restart

I'm not a recognized developer yet even so i will try
So i flashed this rom on my US996 and followed the instructions although, the camera and flash are not working, are we supposed to flash lineage 15.1 and then this like with the other roms or is this just supposed to be flashed right away cuz i know with most of the other custom roms you needed to do incremental flashes
EDIT: Flashing the permissiver file for the f800L fixed the issue

we had Resurrection Remix Rom based on Android 9 before it but we wait for Customizable Rom based on Android 10 and 11 for all v20 variant not one.
Will this Crdroid version be update to Android 10 and 11?
H910 user here, installed the rom yesterday and so far it's been great. After experiencing los17.1 official (android 10-Q) which had working ir blaster but the battery wasn't working out well for me so I decided to try this rom. Everything is great, but I do miss having my ir blaster.
And yes i did try flashing the permissive v4 and v5. Both flashed well however with v4 the ir blaster wasn't working with sure remote so I went and flashed v5 which suddenly made the phone temp increase dramatically to the point i had to factory reset the rom and start from scratch.
Is there a way to remove permissive files if flashed instead of having to factory reset all the time?
If there are any advice or recommendations I'm open. Would love to have an android 10 from this dev.

Ah yes, that's normal, go to your internet settings, and add your APN
Search in google your ISP followed of "APN" and your country, set it up, and it should work.

Thanks so much now my mobile data is working
RJust installed and everything seems to work fine. Nice interface with useful things like double tap to lock, I love it, and the additional lock screen page is very useful. Looks very good
I'm still using this rom, it's great, it enters through the eyes and also works smoothly and without any errors that you have noticed. I just need the game mode and change the desktop font color to black. Big
miGoogle translate does what it wants but I hope it will be understood. In short I am tremendously grateful to the team of this rom.

The rom is awesome I use it for it for a week.
UI is one of the better side , smoothness... There is no need for AnTuTu ... You literally feel it..
I use two sim card ,and maybe Is that's my problem with battery..
I try everything but..
I will wait for next update and definitely come back.
