Snapchat without Xposed detection - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So as everyone knows, Snapchat refuses to work with Xposed framework installed. I know there are ways around it such as uninstalling Xposed and then installing snapchat blahblah, but is there a version that works with Xposed floating around somewhere? I'm using an LGK7 and installing Xposed wasn't easy and I don't want to go through the trouble of figuring out how to uninstall it without bricking my phone.

Adaway and CM11

Hi everyone, I know from the adaway thread that some of us have had problems getting adaway working with the gpad.
I tried it again 2 days ago as I'm finding other apps/mods to be less effective.
I can only speak for cm11 as that's the only one I've tested, but adaway is now working properly with it. No fiddling, no tweaking the app, just the normal straight forward install.
As I have said I've been using it for 2 days now (still v2.8) so I don't believe it's adaway that's been updated more something that's been changed in cm11
Hope some of you will find this helpful,

Hi,
I can recommend you Xposed framework with MinMinGuard. So far 100% effective. Easy to use.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2597332
There are many other useful modules (block YouTube ads, XPrivacy, Halo...)
Be sure to use Dalvik runtime. Xposed is not compatible with ART for now.

Hi, adaway was always working 100% fine with stock rom, so it certainly has to be something with cyanogen mod and not with adaway. Looking at cm11 thread i see that many people report that in the last days they have fixed various things in the rom like the knock off feature and some games like dead trigger 2, and now you report that adaway is working normally. So i guess every day that passes the cyanogen has fewer bugs than the earlier versions.

Yes I already use Xposed, for several apps including the Youtube blocker.
I'm subscribed to the MinMinGuard thread already as I think it has lots of potential.Though I need extra defence for Chrome. Hence why I like adaway as it does it all.
The thread was more to let others know that Adaway is working again with cm11 and as a few of the roms are based on CM, hopefully the changes will trickle down to them too.
It's a bit odd but the gpad has had problems with running adaway since we started getting roms. So it's all good news for us

main purpose of my post was to promote another Ad blocking solution.

Root and Xposed?

Has anyone, that has rooted, tried using xposed modules on this device? If so, how well is it working? Thanks
I'm using it now and it works just fine

I installed Xposed with these modules: Greenify, Play Store Fixes, RootCloak, XuiMod, YouTube AdAway, and YourTube. All work execpt XuiMod so far. I tried the hardware torch(flashlight) option and it failed. I am looking more into it and if I find out more I will update.

Systemless root

Hey there,
I was curious of whether somebody here has atained systemless root? I would like to use an app for 2-FA with my credit card that detects root and therefore rejects to work on a rooted phone. Does anyone have a viable idea on how to deal with this?
Cheers!
My bank app detecs also rooted phone, but i was able to get it work with rootcloak (xposed module). But hen again i have second app for nfc payments at does not work even with rootcloak

With current systemless root solution (magisk), it's possible to temporarily "unroot" via a simple toggle. It works with my bank's app with root detection.

One more advice, if I update my bank app for the recent version, it will not work anymore with rootcloak, but it might not be the with you bank. But if it stops working after update you should just return to earlier version and hope they have not blocked it

Unrooted Asus Zenfone 5, still unable to play Pokémon Go

I unrooted my device specifically to play Pokémon Go. I was using SuperSU and ticked "Disable and Hide Root."
However the game is still unable to authenticate. I have read on Reddit that the Magisk work around no longer works as well.
Is there a way I can play the game beside buying a new phone and never rooting it?

You could always try an exposed module to hide your root, like RootCloak.

Only asking here since we are pretty much a tight community. Xposed

Is there any way to hide the Xposed installer from apps? I've tried sudo hide, Xprivacylua or whatever it is called.
Magisk hide doesn't work. I've Google searched it.
I play Marvel Future Fight, and no matter what, it sees the installer. Renaming the folder don't help either. Currently my only solution is to uninstall the Xposed app. Play and then install it after I am done.
It's inconvenient but it works. Just hoping there is a better solution.
Only other way i know of doing what you want to do is using TIBU to freeze app (in this case xposed) and just unfreeze when needed. This way you retain your settings in the app.

Tried that as well.
Was the first thing I tried before I did my Google searches.

Not exactly what I'm talking about. The issue is not passing SafetyNet, it's the app seeing the Xposed installer app. Try for yourself.
Type in Marvel Future Fight in play store and try to run it.
All Google searches say to rename the Xposed installer app file. However, it doesn't work for me.

Well, try it see if it works. The reason Magisk can't hide regular Xposed is because it changes the system. EdXposed doesn't and can be hidden by Magisk.
That's why edXposed can pass Safety Net when regular Xposed can't.

EdXposed is the same as regular Xposed when it comes to Xposed detection. Even sudo hide is not working.
Sent from my LG-H932 using XDA Labs
Just to be clear, the issue is the Xposed app itself.

Well I should be fine as long as I don't reboot with the Xposed app not installed.
