yes that swipe feature sure is missing.
perhaps a custom rom in the near future can address this issue.

In regards to brightness I'd like the auto brightness to realise when i am outdoors and its very bright so as to increase the brightness to make a dark screen visible! However outdoors visability is not good. HTC one s was slightly better

[REQ][Q]how to get ultra brightness for wt19i running stock rom???

Is there any way to increase screen [ultra]brightness like MiniCMSandwich or Gingercrutz in stock rom-[ICS] having root?? if it is possible then can anyone help me in getting soo...!!
I have no idea whether that's possible or not, but I'm wondering why you'd want to do that? That can't possibly be good for the eyes, or the battery.
I have my brightness at the lowest setting lol, can't stand brightness above the room lighting.
Is anyone here....??? who can help me...!!
does no XDA member knows this tweak..???

you could do it manually using root explorer
1.Go to /sys/devices/i2c-0/0-0040/leds/lcd-backlight/als/enable
Open enable with text editor and change "1" to "0"
This disables ALS..
2.To increases brightness (Some roms set it to 125 for eg : Hyperbeam cream its 125)
Go to :
/sys/devices/i2c-0/0-0040/leds/lcd-backlight/brightness
/sys/devices/i2c-0/0-0040/leds/lcd-backlight/max_brightness
Open "brightness & max_brightness" in text editor and change values as 255
Voila you're done:good:
NOTE: This resets to zero everytime you reboot
Ultra brightness is a uselessthing.:banghead:

Ambient display functionality.

Which app do you use to view the notifications and time at a glance without turning on the whole screen. Comment the name of the app and if possible attach the apk file and let's see which app performs the best.

Always on AMOLED is nice app that u can find it in the play store..go pro to tweak around settings..The problem is that since honor 6x is an ips lcd panel..the battery consumption will be higher than in the AMOLED panel

Or cm locker may be not for time but for notifications.
Have you tried CM Locker?
I do use always on AMOLED. It's neat and can be used. Also has a good collection of clocks.

I don't know if this is the place to ask but I have a problem, maybe someone knows something about this: the s6 sm-g925f edge that I have, had a option in the screen setting where the resolution of the screen could be changed and after a while that option disappeared. I tried a stock rom from smmobile for my country but the option is not back can anyone help me please
The option should be where the arrow is in the picture right ? https://forum.xda-developers.com/picture.php?albumid=14502&pictureid=56343
Please please help. Thank you.

How to calibrate screen in MI a3 without root ?

How can I change my screen's color temp (cool or warm) as stock android doesn't allow to change screen colors. any app ?
Only way I've found so far is to use night light feature in Settings. It makes the screen warmer but unfortunately adds a red tinge even at lowest intensity.
BTW, I'd be interested to know if there's a way to calibrate the screen WITH root. That may make it worthwhile for me to try rooting.
