Does the Nillkin QIN Series flip cover have a tab with a magnet to keep it closed? - Moto G4 Plus Accessories

For my Moto G 1st gen I bought a Nillkin flip cover. it had a tab with a magnet to make sure the flip cover does not open accidently. See attached pic.
I would like to get a Nillkin QIN Series flip cover for the Moto G4 Plus I intend to buy. However, I noticed it does not have a tab to keep/lock the flip cover closed.
Any one here got this cover please let me know if it (does not have?) has any mechanism to keep it closed.
Product Link : http://nillkin.org/smartphones-acce...ssories/nillkin-motorola-moto-g4-plus-5-5-qin
I'm still using the Moto G1 cover I bought more than two years back, btw. Quality is quite good.

Information provided by info[at]nillkin[dot]org :
QIN series don't stay opened by stiffening plate between back and front
at the left side, yes, it doesn't have magnet on the front.
That makes easier opening of the case with one hand.

I have one of these for my G4. It does not have any closure mechanism - but that's the way I like it.

Are you saying that there's no mechanism to retain the flip cover in the closed position? It just like hangs loosely?
I thought the reply from Nillkin implied that the ' stiffening plate ' held it closed.

The front bit is stiff so sits nicely on top when it's closed.

Leather Case For G-Tablet

For anyone here looking to buy the near-pefect + inexpensive leather case for the G-Tablet check out the video at youtube titled "review of a kindle DX case for the Viewsonic G Tablet", which does a very good job of showcasing it.
I bought one myself and i am very/very pleased with it; It fits like a glove, looks very nice, sturdy and expensive and offers very good protection.
For $19.21 plus shipping from Amazon.com it's a best-buy for leather covers for the G Tablet and the name of the manufacturer is CaseCrown.
Same here... Excellent case for the money...
I was just going to delete my post because, dumb me, there is already a thread on this leather case under "My review of the Kindle Leather Case" by S2W, with a link for his video at youtube.
Actually i would like to thank S2W for helping me find this particular leather case and for the money he saved me !

I got the Case, but I am not too happy with it since one or two corner doesn't fit well.
just out of curiosity, which corner are you reffering to ? Is it the one over the power switch ?
The reason i'm asking is because that was the only leather tab that almost blocked the very edge of the switch on my G-Tablet, almost but not quite...
I found that this leather case fits tightly around the G-Tablet and yet not in any way that impeded me from accessing any switches and controls and, as i expected, i wish the outside leather tab that holds the front cover offered a means to secure it out of the way and from hanging in front of the screen when opened; To fix that i am thinking of attaching a small, nearly imperceptible piece of black velcro to its back and to the back of the case so that i could attach the tab to the back of the case when in use.

Yes, that's what I have observed that both my leather tabs are trying to come out when I am using my tab.
I am going to do exactly what you are describing to use black velcro to secure the back, so I don't have to worry about my kids abusing it.

Leather quick circle case with magnet?

I'm kind of a huge fan of leather cases. I had one for my S4 for the whole time I had it. I really want one for the G3, but the only one I can find that has the hole for Quick Circle doesn't have a magnetic clasp, so it'll just fall open. Does anyone know of a case similar to this one, but with a magnet to keep it closed?

I would recommend waiting for some more circle cases to come out and just get a nice normal case, but if you really want the case with the magnetic clasp and you could always cut the screen protector out.(or in my case a dremel tool cause the plastic is very tough and thick) That's what I did with a circle case I did not realize had a screen protector in.

If you look at the official LG quick case you can see that it does not have a screen protector and that's because you need to be able to touch that portion of the screen to use all the quick circle features like messaging or changing music. The screen protector just gets in the way.

I already ordered this case. It feels super cheap and the back is completely flat. I didn't like it at all. It's also really fake leather.

The case I posted doesn't have a screen protector or a magnet. I really don't even need the quick circle part. I just want a genuine leather case. I suppose you are right about waiting though. For now, I ordered the one I originally posted. It's not as bad not having a magnet as I thought it would be, but this one also uses fake leather, so that's kind of disappointing.

I expected as much for 5 bucks. I bought the international version of this for 39 dollars because I want the QI charging.

Nillkin Fresh is a fantastic case. I had it for my M8.

the magnet is kinda of a double edge sword. Helps protect it by keeping it closed during a fall but you do have to pry it open a little bit as their probably a little stronger then they need to be. Case has a nice texture and feel to it. The circle window has a very thick clear screen making the screen very unresponsive, I ended up just cutting it out.. Very confident that this cover would protect the phone in a fall. No cut out for the notification light . Also putting a debit card in the interior slot makes the auto/off and circle notifiication seldom work. I have a Zagg glass screen protector and I'm not sure if its it or the lg screen is just picky when it comes to working the circle app. Not a bad case though.

Cases

What has everyone found for cases? I'm using the clear Mpero Flex S case. It provides extra grippiness, decent protection and the clear one allows you to see the details of the phone.
Edit: plus they're inexpensive

I bought mine on swappa with a black incipio case, but I just use the verizon holster daily.
I got a stickerboy yellow skin for the back to stop the slippery feel.
Of course I made a pouch to carry it in.
I've also ordered a Skinomi full body skin and I'm going to try that for a while.
I have the black silicone case from Verizon when I got my phone together as a bundle, but I'm debating to myself whether I should go for a clear case that shows my phone's details. Clear cases get yellowing just because over time, it absorbs our oils and such. Will the flex cases do the same because of the material?

It's a TPU material. Mine hasn't yellowed yet, but then again it's not that old.
I like the holster kickstand case from Verizon. I don't use the holster cover and the hard kickstand body is protective and convenient with the kickstand. The black case with white phone looks sharp.

Very good Material, very good fitting, just perfect.
Used it on 2 oher Mobiles and im completely satisfied.
I'm using the incipio case from verizon with verizon's tempered glass protector. The case covers the edges nicely.
Has anyone came across a bumper case that exposes the back?
I use the otterbox defender. I would get a lifeproof case if they made one for the z3v.

I think you're way off in what Sony designed in their flagship series: the unneeded accessories for lifeproof cases. It's already designed and built to be IP68 ratings, meaning it's waterproof and dustproof for the phone itself. There is an article that tested how well its ratings are from the Z2 as someone dropped their in the middle of the ocean and had it recovered 3 weeks later.
The back glass panel cracked, but once charged up, it's still usable as if nothing happened.
And BTW, getting a lifeproof case will make your phone look like another iPhone from the outside. Dx

I stand corrected, SIX weeks at 32 feet underwater. That's an incredibly impressive feat.
Has anyone noticed that the Xperia Z2 (L50t) China version seems to be the exact design specifications as the Z3v. It appears we may be able to use all of its cases and screen protectors. I'm going to check it out and report back.*

That's interesting that there are many similarities and not many other sources discuss the design being similar. The only thing that I think the cases will do for our phones is leave open a space that's for the magnetic dock charger. Other than that, I hope it may work so it could open more case options.

Here's the dimensions I found through some searches, seems like they're incredibly close, let's hope it fits for you!
L50T: 149 x 73.3 x 8.2mm
Z3V: 148.5mm x 73.4mm x 8.9mm
Z3: 146 x 72 x 7.3 mm
I'm using the Incipio case from Verizon. I've always used Otterbox Commuter cases on my phones, and this Incipio is the closest thing to that. I'm really happy with it so far.
I've really enjoyed the form and beauty of the Z3v without a case. I have a couple cases that I use on occasion when doing more rugged things, but this phone is a looker and I don't want to cover it up.

Samsung flip covers

Has anyone bought the Samsung flip covers that cover both back and face?
Do they both close by magnet? A good strong magnet?
Are there any other full covers?
I used a Spiegen on my Note 3 but 3 of them broke their hinges.
I want full protection even at the loss of slimness.
Thanks

i ordered it at amazon , and i think they are slim sleek and nice
Do they both have magnetic closure?
Do they look like they will give good protection in a bad fall?
From the blurb the difference is that they show the time/date in a different way.
Thanks

nice case i like it
I hate to admit, is very hard to find good cases for phones like the mi mix 3 or even Chinese phone in general. But this is good as it doesn't cover up the front camera.
I ordered the brown version.
It arrived today. Great quality, but the opening flap doesn't stay closed.
There's clearly a circular magnet in the front cover part, but it doesn't magnetise to the phone (unsure if phone even has a magnet for case functionality).
It's a shame. Would have preferred it if the front flap would securely stay shut.

had same experience with front flap, butr after few days it stays easier close
maybe the magnet is an alternative weight for the flap.
