So I found this project online that lets me use the gyroscope of a phone. It has all the required files but when I import it into my workspace I get these three errors....
1) The project was not built since its build path is incomplete. Cannot find the class file for java.lang.Object. Fix the build path then try building this project
(java problem)
2) The type java.lang.Object cannot be resolved. It is indirectly referenced from required .class file
(java problem)
3) Unable to resolve target 'android-5' AccessGyroscope Unknown Android (Target Problem)

I want to rebuild kitkat 4.4.2 on galaxy note 10.1 gt-n8000 using android open source project in Ubuntu linux 64 bit, I got its sources from this link http://opensource.samsung.com/reception/receptionSub.do?method=search&searchValue=n8000, this link provided me two folders one is Kernel and other is platform, I had done its kernel compilation part using cross compilers as it mentioned on its read me file, while I am confused about other part which is platform its read me file is like this :

How to build Modules for Platform
- It is only for modules are needed to using Android build system.
- Please check its own install information under its folder for other module.
[Step to build]
1. Get android open source.
: version info - Android 4.4.2
( Download site : http://source.android.com )
2. Copy module that you want to build - to original android open source
If same module exist in android open source, you should replace it. (no overwrite)
# It is possible to build all modules at once.
3. You should add module name to 'PRODUCT_PACKAGES' in 'build\target\product\core.mk' as following case.
case 1) e2fsprog : should add 'e2fsck' to PRODUCT_PACKAGES
case 2) libexifa : should add 'libexifa' to PRODUCT_PACKAGES
case 3) libjpega : should add 'libjpega' to PRODUCT_PACKAGES
case 4) KeyUtils : should add 'libkeyutils' to PRODUCT_PACKAGES

I think in Facebook group that xml was already translated for Tomas's quests with translating the ROM!?

If you come from the same firmware, then yes, for sure. If you are on another firmware (e.g. 1.2.3 or 1.3.0n) very likely (it did it always in my tests), but it is not guaranteed,
NOTE: This behaviour may change in the future. @silver-alx is using an approach to separate data partitions between the flashed FW on the watch and the temporary FW. This would be a requirement, if we start modding the code of the apps. So far, this is just FW 1.2.5a with english translation.

I don't speak chinese but i looked over the arrays.xml and it says "Difficulty" twice with different chinese words.
English translation gave me "Difficult" and "Difficulty".
I tried to translate to German where it says "schwierig" and "Kleine Schwierigkeit" which makes more sense as it means "Difficult" and "low Difficulty"
I think Difficult and Easy would be the correct translation.
"Cancellation" and "Its too much!" seem to be a bit odd, too but for further translation one should know what the function does on the watch. Unfortunately i am still waiting for mine....

It is already done. You can find it in FB group (Xiaomi Huami Amazfit Pace Smartwach) in files train_plan_en.zip or I can send it to you in 2 hours.
There are few more files which you need to copy to assets directory and subdirecrories en and cn (en sub doesnt work so I copied to both).
EDIT: I see somebody already copy this file. There is also TraininPlanEn-v1.zip which including translated apk. You can maybe use it.

It is great idea. There is not such a central place. So if you create one it would be great.
Another idea. After friday OTA update you need to prepare new version based on last version. I think we as community can help you with something if you want. I don't know how you check differences between version I mean apks? But we can just decrypt apk and check string.xml and array.xml for changes and than create new apk based on last version.
I already know the process I prepared english version for WearHealth.apk and TraningPlan.apk as well. Both are working very well.
But maybe you require your own process for modification.

Hello everyone ... I start by saying that I'm rincoxxxnendo .... my apps worked so well with the target sdk 27 ... now playstore wants to break the attributes by forcing the target sdk 29.
So to switch to target sdk 29, you need to request the migration to AndroidX (using the appropriate button on the menu).
After the necessary checks, android studio migrates the entire project to AndroidX ... the problem now is that my applications no longer work on the cell with api level 29 (ie Samsung s10), .. while they seem to work perfectly with android systems up to 28 ...
Are there any well-made guides to make the migration happen? what am I doing wrong? is it enough to download api 29 on android studio and migrate? or need to manually fix something else ????

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for Lineage OS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to Lineage OS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.
Known Issues:
On dual SIM devices, a SIM cannot be re-enabled once it has been disabled
VOIP calling (problem with the microphone when making VOIP phone calls using Viber, Skype, Telegram, Facebook) - ???
Wi-Fi calling - ??? (checked it for mcc="310" mnc="260" only, but I cant check it for me. My carrier supports Volte only for our device and VOLTE works fine for me)
SeLinux permissive (will be fixed when the bugs are fixed)
WiFi Display (green screen with artifacts on wfd)

Important: If you have any issues with rom (unresponsive buttons, cannot unlock with fingerprint, etc.) try to wipe delvik/cache in TWRP.
Instructions:
Take FULL backup first from your actual system!
Before instaling, make sure you are running the latest Oreo or Pie firmware from the latest HTC Sense.
If you are encrypted, take a full backup of all your data, boot into TWRP and format data (the option which requires you to type "yes") and clean flash accordingly. This is due to encryption changes. Do not skip this step or you will be locked out of your system by a password prompt.
Download the latest updated TWRP recovery 3.3.1-1 ( thanks @Captain_Throwback ) or 3.4.0-0
Reboot to download mode and flash it: "fastboot flash recovery name_of_file.img"
Download the latest ROM zip from the downloads section below
Wipe /system, /cache and /data (complete FORMAT /data if you're having issues or were encrypted)
Flash ROM zip in TWRP, reboot to system and make initial settings (don't enable option Lineage recovery during first setup after clean install, otherwise you will lose TWRP and you need to reinstall it again)
Flash the latest magisk (optional) after make one reboot
When system is booted, reboot to TWRP and flash gapps (optional)
Reboot and check apps permissions (!!!) (Google Play Service, all Google apps and services, Phone, Phone services, Camera, Contacts, Message, etc...)
Enjoy (as much as currently possible)

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

I experienced this a few times and decided to investigate and saw that it had something to do with how dex2oat works after you dirty flash (it refuses to optimise properly?). What I found fixed the issue was to manually run dex2oat on everything after it booted into the system, and after it has finished the process (could take super long depending on how many apps you have), everything went back to its speedy state.
How to:
If you have root/magisk:
1. Open terminal and enter the following commands:

Hotspot works fine for me and USB Tethering too, but I can't check Ethernet Tethering.
Hi, I'm stuck trying to boot again to TWRP (after installing Lineage) because every time I try to boot into recovery I end up in LineageOS default recovery. Since I'm unable to boot into TWRP I cannot install neither Gapps or Magisk.
EDIT: I fixed it by flashing TWRP again.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

On dual SIM devices, a SIM cannot be re-enabled once it has been disabled
VOIP calling (problem with the microphone when making VOIP phone calls using Viber, Skype, Telegram, Facebook) - ???
Wi-Fi calling - ??? (checked it for mcc="310" mnc="260" only, but I cant check it for me. My carrier supports Volte only for our device and VOLTE works fine for me)

Important: If you have any issues with rom (unresponsive buttons, cannot unlock with fingerprint, etc.) try to wipe delvik/cache in TWRP.
Instructions:
Take FULL backup first from your actual system!
Before instaling, make sure you are running the latest Oreo or Pie firmware from the latest HTC Sense.
If you are encrypted, take a full backup of all your data, boot into TWRP and format data (the option which requires you to type "yes") and clean flash accordingly. This is due to encryption changes. Do not skip this step or you will be locked out of your system by a password prompt.
Download the latest updated TWRP recovery 3.3.1-1 ( thanks @Captain_Throwback ) or 3.4.0-0
Reboot to download mode and flash it: "fastboot flash recovery name_of_file.img"
Download the latest ROM zip from the downloads section below
Wipe /system, /cache and /data (complete FORMAT /data if you're having issues or were encrypted)
Flash ROM zip in TWRP, reboot to system and make initial settings
Flash the latest magisk (optional) after make one reboot.
When system is booted, reboot to TWRP and flash gapps (optional)
Reboot and check apps permissions
Enjoy (as much as currently possible)

Don't enable option Lineage recovery during first setup after clean install.
Hello everyone and merry christmas, I downloaded the rom, the gapps and magisk, I cleaned the cache, dalvik, system and data from the previous 17.1 ... after the flash of 18.1 and the basic settings I rebooted to install magisk ... ..but the TWRP recovery has disappeared ... there is only the base of Lineage 18.1 ..... luckily I had a nandroid backup ... now I have restored 17.1 .... I'll try calmly in the afternoon ... did I do something wrong ??? help me please ...

so far everything is doing fine, Magisk works fine, only Google Play services always wants to have the permission SMS but somehow clicking on allow does not save these two permissions (SMS and for call logs), the other permissions that Google Play services did want to have could be given without problems. This problem is only there for Google Play services. Other apps and even Google Play Store I could give these permissions, very strange.
I will try to find out later today or tomorrow what is going on and get some logcat.

Same here, not possible to restore google apps through google backup due to no SMS permission possible.
After trying a couple of things it seems "Fix contents" (or something like this as my TWRP is not in English) and a couple of reboots made it possible to allow SMS permission.
Phone is now restoring apps.

What s the lineage recovery thing? I never enabled it cuz i think it will replace twrp with it.
