[Q][Help] s6 Edge only boots into Odin - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello xda!
I bought a broken s6 Edge of a co-worker. I thought i could fix it but its giving me a headache
The problem is that it only turns on when plugged into the computer, the screen than shows a emergency recovery option on Kies or swift switch (which requires a recovery code. And I nor my coworker have) the other thing I can do is boot into Odin.
Now my question is: Does anyone know a way to recover it without that code?
I tried installing a stock s6 edge OS on it using Odin but everytime I get a write error.
Please help!

You don't have the sn at the back of the phone?. No box?.
Sent from my SM-G925F

the best thing to do is get the repair firmware files from sam mobile, flash each file in the right loading area. i.e cp for cp, ap in ap. if you flash a full file (usually names HOME) it never repairs the phone fully

[SOLVED] Bricked/Stuck after using ODIN Root?

Hi, all,
I used the ODIN Root for my T-Mobile Galaxy S6 Edge (model 925). I did everything, downloaded the proper zips and exe's and all, and began to root. Everything was going fine, my ODIN exe told me everything was fine, and my phone boots up...
...and stays stuck on the "Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: Powered by Android" splash screen.
I CAN'T EVEN TURN IT OFF!
Any help would be greatly appreciated
HOW TO SOLVE:
Even though the phone is on, Volume Down + Home + Power will still boot into Download Mode. So do that.
Use the Samsung Galaxy S6 (NOT edge! Yes, the 920 file) zip instead of the Edge zip. And don't use the included .exe - use the official, latest ODIN EXE.
I have the same issue !
So i need to flash the 920's root file ? It won't really brick my phone ?? Or It will boot my phone ?
Thanks !

Please help tmobile s6 edge soft brick
I initially used odin to flash OI1 update, after a rom I was using caused problems and I got bootloop. It changed bootloader value to b:3 and I'm unable to downgrade now so I used smart switch which didn't recognize device so used emergency recovery and still bootloop. I have factory reset and wipe cache multiple times along with adb side load and individual flashes of bootloader, modem, kernel, flashed custom kernel and twrp to access fix permissions and to mount partitions with advanced wipe etc and still wont boot past logo. Also during one fix attempt phone said can't mount system.. Idk I'm not understanding where the problem is .everything says successful but I'm still in bootloop. Please help. I've spent hours everyday for the past week searching & trying different things that seem might help so open to any suggestions.
Hello ,
if phone stuck on logo it means you played with EFS .
If phone Stuck on Logo After Flash Stock it Means Phone has Bad Root Key it know as DRK (DEV Root Key)
It Takes very long to find me perfect solution.
You will need to root phone. ( to turn on )
You will need an UART Interface and Uart Cable.
Than You need to Authenticate MSL
After that Write the Cert With DRK Data.
Now Phone is Good .
Flash with Stock Rom.
Enjoy Your Phone Working Fine.

Hi, can someone please elaborate on this?
I have the exact same issue with the T-Mobile Galaxy S6 Edge SM-G925T
I've tried flashing G920FXXU2BOFJ with Odin but it just fails
I also flashed G925TUVS3DOJC perfectly with Odin but it's still stuck at the GS6 Splash Screen
Samsung Smart Switch does not work.
Can someone please send me the exact link to the file they used to fix this. Thank you

s6 edge bricked, cannot write anything through ODIN, Help please !!!

Hello all,
I purchased Samsung Galaxy s6 edge off of craigslist in attempt to repair this software issue.
It is verizon USA version model G925V
The phone powers up and Samsung screen comes up and it says Custom in the middle with an unlock sign which means that previous person tried to customize the software.
It keeps toggling between the same screen and wont boot up.
I am able to put it in download mode and recovery mode.
I have already wipes cache, have performed factory reset but no luck
I have tried to install original firmware via Odin but it says write failed after NAND Write in Odin.
Also tried to reflash the original PIT file but yet again it Odin says Failed.
Is there anything I can do with phone or it is completely gone?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
You could try kies emergency repair.
You can also try Smart Switch

Help with a friends bricked phone.

Hello guys, first time posting on this forum so I'll keep it short.
Recently a friend of mine asked one of his other friend to root his Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge from T-mobile.
However his friend messed up and now the phone has been bricked. Whenever you plug in the power cord all it shows is an empty battery logo and kernel is not seandroid enforcing and below custom binary blocked by FRP Lock.
When attempting to enter recovery mode or download mode all it shows is the samsung logo and the errors as said above on the top left. I have never encountered anything like that when I rooted my old samsung s3.
So maybe you guys on the forum can give me some insight on what I should do.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Check your CSC to match that one is on phone to bypass FRP lock... Download stock rom based your csc/pda from samfirmware.com . Flash with odin.

S6 Edge G925L Stuck in Logo After Odin Flash

Hi, people at the xda forum!
I got a s6 edge g925l from a friend that showed an invalid imei (350000000005), it was working fine before suddently it stopped getting service, so i flashed the stock original firmware from sammovile, for that particular model, thinking that it might been something software related, it flashed ok, at first boot it took me to the stock recovery and i can see 2 errors at the bottom,
"cant mount /efs" (i expected that since the efs partition might have been corrupted before) and somthething about dm-veridity
thing is that it wont boot into the OS, it shows the s6 edge logo and then it fades to black, with a blue led in the top, i installed twrp via odin ver(3.1.1) and i can flash zip files normally, i can get it to download mode without issues, im looking for some ideas as to what can be happening
Why wont let me boot into the OS (Regardless of the Null imei, i dont really care about the imei at this point) i just want the phone to boot into the OS.
Any idea or sugestion will be greatly apreciated..
Thanks in Advice!
