[XPOSED][GB-O] StatusBarSleep - Double tap statusbar to sleep! - Xposed Framework Modules

StatusBarSleep - Double tap statusbar to sleep for all stock/stock-ish ROMS! (2.3+)
Compatible with everything from Gingerbread (2.3) all the way to Oreo (8.1)!
If you find a bug, post here or create an issue in the Github issue tracker with your logcat + Xposed logs.
NOT TESTED on heavily modified ROMS (Touchwiz, LG, EMUI, etc...) but it appears to work on them.
I really needed this so I wrote it!
This is intended as a replacement for DoubleTapToSleep and Gravitybox's double tap statusbar to sleep as they both don't work on my device.
Xposed repository link: http://repo.xposed.info/module/xyz.nulldev.statusbarsleep
Source code: https://github.com/null-dev/StatusBarSleep
There are two release channels, a normal (stable) release channel and an extended (beta) release channel, both provide different functionality, the differences between them are provided below.
Extended (beta channel) vs Normal (stable channel):
The tap targets are highlighted in red (double tapping in a tap target will sleep the phone).
The images on the left are the extended tap targets and the images on the right are the normal tap targets.
Double tapping on the status bar anywhere will always sleep the phone.
Double tap to sleep works on the extra space in the notification shade in the extended version.

Double tap to sleep works on the entire lockscreen in the extended version.

this works on stock touchwiz samsung galaxy grand prime 4.4.4 rooted

Work flawlessly in Samsung TouchWiz port note 7 been waiting for this long time ago... Can't thank you enough

Can you make the new update which remioved features a beta in xposed installer? I don't want to update but the notification thing is annoying me.

Outdated post, see the first post instead.
Ok, first of all, I just want to make sure that you guys actually don't want to update and are not just confused by the changelog (I know it is sort of vague). If after reading this post you decide still not to upgrade, please post again and then I will change release channels.
The details of what changed are described here:
The tap targets are highlighted in red (double tapping in a tap target will sleep the phone).
The image on the left is the tap targets before the update and the image on the right is the tap targets after the update.
Double tap to sleep no longer works on the extra space in the notification shade.
Double tap to sleep now only works on the statusbar on the lockscreen.

I would still like the older version. In fact, a new version built upon the older version which allows double tap in the notification shade even when the quick settings are fully expanded would be even better!!! I would like whatever unused space to become a toggle for turning off the screen.
Since I suppose I'm part of the minority of people who want this odd "feature", how about you make this one a beta for the sake of helping out other "common" users. I really don't mind which one becomes a beta/expiremental, but the update thingy is killing me.
Thanks in advance mate!

As requested, I have now split the module into two release channels, one for the normal version, the other for the extended version. Please check the first post for details. If you are still confused with the differences between the normal and extended version, feel free to just ask !

Thanks for listening I finally get rid of the message of update awesome module simple but very useful and with great value

Thanks!!!!!

[ROM] [LRX22C] Minimus for Nexus 6 (12-06-14)

This ROM is built from 5.0.0_r7 branch.
I want to bring the stock experience in my ROM. I believe google has done great things to make android better, but at times they always leave things out that would make the os perfect. I try to do that with my ROM. This will not be a ROM that is packed with every single feature out there. This will be a ROM that will include the necessary features to enhance the android experience. This is Minimus. Hope you guys enjoy it
Please note this is in beta. Please report any bugs. Thank you.
Features:
- Built from AOSP
- Expanded power menu
- Many "under the hood" optimizations
- Delete Screenshot
- Clear All recents
- Quick access to Quick Settings
- Navigation bar height
- Battery Percentage
- Latest Google sources
- Disabled forced encryption!
- Double tap to sleep
- And more!
To install:
1) I suggest a clean wipe coming from any 4.4.x or stock ROM.
2) Flash ROM, Gapps, Root (in this order)
3) Set everything up. (Start up might take awhile so give it time)
4) Enjoy

Double tap is enabled by default by the way. It's just not 100% like the app. Sometimes it requires more than two taps
First impressions,
Very nice ROM. Has many of the features that I had apps to do (e.g. Battery %, Double tap to Wake,
Other than that, everything works great. Haven't tested the speakers or sound or video just yet. Using LeanKernel beta2 with this ROM right now.
Edit: removed the points that are clarified

Some observations, you mention double tap is enabled by default. It wasn't, it has to be activated in Settings > Display.
Also in Dev Options > Kill app back button.. when enabled, it doesnt kill the app. I believe this option wasn't in stock dev options.

There's a difference for the double tap in display settings. That's for tap to sleep. Nexus 6 had double tap to wake like the OPO or HTC one, but google disabled it. I'll look into the killing app.
Holding back does kill the app. You just need to hold onto it a little bit longer. I'll shorten it so it makes more sense with the haptic feedback.

Ahh right, its still early for me holding back does kill the app, you're right again on that. I was testing kill Settings.apk instead of another app.
Maybe you could possibly add the option that lets the user change the kill rate to be lessen or greater. I've seen this in previous ROMs as well as possibly add Double tap to wake disable/enable in Display for those who are afraid if their screen turn on since the double tap to wake doesn't check for proximity sensor
Big fan of your work, thanks!

Is there a way for us to turn off that feature permanently (persist through reboot)? I had it on my G2 and it was a terrible feature for me. Causes way too many wakeups in my pocket, leading to locked phone if I have security on lockscreen or doing all kinds of stuff in my pocket if I dont have a password to unlock. Much better to just not use the feature and then I dont get random wakeups.
other than that it looks like almost everything I want in a ROM. The one feature left that I am still looking for is being able to switch around nav buttons, then Im set. I think I can do it by hardcoding the changes I want though so its all good.

I'm looking into it. I'm gonna try to include what cm created with checking proximity when waking up device. If that doesn't work out, I might disable it by default and let users decide if they want it with the app.

Good day, I made an XPosed module for Zenfone 5 (my handheld device now so far). Due to the problem ughh I think annoying bug in my Z5's recovery and need to do something new for myself and this phone. Also mostly of the Zenfone systemui was modified so some sort of module isnt working properly to this device so kinda need to do something.
It was my first time doing something kind of this so expect that the development in this module is too slow. But time to time, maybe God's will, this project will grow
Feature:
Costumize statusbar clock color
Hide battery icon (non sense feature but in my POV, I am using the battery text, more accurate and less space )
Contextual Header
Custom Wifi Label
Battery Text State Color
Added some zenfone goodies that havent implemented in recent updates
Customize AMPM
Double Tap Statusbar to Sleep Gesture
Circle Battery
Expanded Background Color
Signal Icon

PLEASE DONT MIRROR THE DOWNLOAD LINK. IM WORKING FOR IT FOR FREE.

Awesome!!!

Many thanks to you, i was searching modules that work with ZenUI but without a positive results.
Can you explain what does those new quick settings features make?
Again. Many thanks to you man!!!
Damn. I love you man! Thanks a ton.
I found this bug, though. The background of the quick settings panel changes, and even after restoring it to default the background is different.
Other than that, I did not find any other bugs! This module is amazing, hoping for even more features with further updates

Description
This Xposed module hides the carrier name on the top left corner on the lockscreen.
There's already a module that does the same but unfortunately it doesn't work for me and others, so I created my own module.
It uses the newer Xposed-API approach (described here), so maybe that's why it works and the other one doesn't, I don't really know.
To all developers out there: I'm sure there's a better (/easier) way to hide the label, but this is my way and for me it works. I hope I can help others who feel annoyed by the carrier label on the lockscreen.
Tested on OnePlus' OxygenOS (Android 5.1.1, API 22).
Tested on CyanogenMod 12.1.
Requirements
- Xposed Framework
- Android 5.0 (API 20) or above
Source

http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.firefly1337.xposed.hidecarrierlabel
Gonna give it a go
OnePlus Two, OxygenOS 2.1.2, Android 5.1.1.
Xposed v79 sdk22.
Will report back when I reboot.
Tested and working great
Maybe, if u have time, u could work in a way to edit/change the label to a custom value. All other modules that do this, do not work on OnePlus Two.
Thanks for testing and reporting back. I'm glad to hear it's working.
Unfortunately I won't have much time in the next few weeks, sorry.
If anyone's interested to try this themselves:
The class CarrierText.java normally extends TextView, but in older CM versions and apparently in OxygenOS it extends LinearLayout.
Full class here and here's a comparison.
Works on my oneplus x, rooted, stock. Well done!:highfive:
@Firefly1337
Finally a module that works on xperia lock screen. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!! Works on xperia z stock rom 5.1.1 (so it should work on its newer siblings). Maybe in the future you'll get rid of status bar annoyance of carrier label. ? ? ?
And for further testing, I'm all yours. ?
Thanks man!
Works on my XT1095 running CM13 ?
Not working for Samsung Galaxy s6 marshmallow 6.0.1. As of v 1.1.1 if you do decide to update this for my os let me know of if there is anything I can do to help
@Hell Bomb
Are there any errors in your Xposed Log?
To fix it I would need your '/system/framework/framework-res.apk' and '/system/priv-app/SystemUI/SystemUI.apk' (this path could differ, search if it's not there).
Thank you! I tried the original on my xperia z5c with no luck a while sgo and didn't even notice the v2. Works great!
Xperia z3 compact on MM not working tried both. [emoji22]
Edit: ops it works now but i dont know how [emoji106]

Either it is indeed unrelated to my module or Samsung somehow screwed up their carrier name implementation. All I do is hiding it. So the action itself is only 1 line, that can hardly be the cause for lags.
By the way: Never quote full OP.

Depends on how Sony implemented it and yes, I'd need your SystemUI.apk and Framework-res.apk.

[AOSP/CM/HTC][LP-MM] Gesture Unlock with Custom Shortcuts

[AOSP/CM/HTC][LP-MM] Gesture Unlock with Custom Shortcuts
This Xposed module enables gesture unlock for Lollipop and Marshmallow devices . The gesture unlock is highly customizable, from changing colours to visibility, error messages, background, etc. You can even hide the emergency button.
What's more, you can use gestures to directly open specific shortcuts from the lockscreen, for example use U to unlock, W to open WhatsApp, M for email, etc. These shortcuts don't have to be just apps, they can be anything on your device, like Direct Dial, open a specific Contact, etc.
The module is pretty self explanatory, and will prompt you to set a pattern on the lock screen, because that is what it replaces. Other than that, there are no specific instructions to use it.
The only caveats are because of the way Xposed works.
A. Your gestures will be visible to any one or any app on your device. No root required.
B. You need root to restart the keyguard after changing the gesture full screen option. It is not mandatory, you could manually reboot if you require. All other changes will be reflect automatically, but not this one.
Download : http://repo.xposed.info/module/me.rijul.gestureunlock
Source code : https://github.com/Rijul-Ahuja/GestureUnlock/
Compatibility :
I personally test on CM13, and I will support CM12.0, CM12.1, AOSP 5.x and 6.0.x and derivatives. HTC support is limited unless I find a tester. Support for other OEM ROMs is absent beyond basic working functionality.

FAQ
My ROM already has gesture unlock, how is this better?
The module has a lot of customization options, like, gesture colours, gesture visibility, text visibility, show gesture correct or incorrect, show or hide emergency button and text, and even full screen gesture. You even launch custom shortcuts directly from the lock screen.
Does this work with screen off?
No, that is device specific and I can't implement it without having a device in hand, and even then, it is beyond my abilities.
Module does not work at all
Give me logcat, SystemUI.apk or any other lockscreen.apk which your device uses, I will try to implement it.
Some features, particularly emergency button related, do not work
Give me logcat, SystemUI.apk or any other lockscreen.apk which your device uses, I will try to fix it, but if it gets too difficult to manage because of your OEM ROM, it will not be done.
I am stuck on the lock screen, please help!
Long press the gesture view 3 times and draw a gesture. Your stock pattern will be restored.

working well, thanks so much
Hi again. I disabled the knock code module as you said and it worked. However, i noticed that there's something wrong with the gesture entry. I feel like it's not working as it should. Sometimes the gesture gets recognised from the first attempt sometimes it requires multiple attempts. I don't know if it's something from my side but the gesture entry feels so laggy and not working properly.
Great work. One thing, it just feels a little slow.

Try reducing the minimum prediction score? I didn't face this at all. A little more information will do good.

What feels slow? Some things may lag because of the automatic preference reloader, try a reboot?

I mean its slow as compared to knock code, it takes a bit more time to unlock, haven't tried reboot just did a keyguard restart. I'll try doing a reboot.

Turn off show gesture correct?
I think there is a lag when using custom shortcuts to unlock, but not when unlocking normally. Is that what you're talking about @Tyaginator?
EDIT : Cannot reproduce any longer after reboot it seems?
Now THIS is what I was looking for :3

No i was talking about normal unlock only, it's just minor. Currently i'm back to knock code coz I've kinda habit of that and maybe i feel it slow coz i'm too quick in unlocking via knock code. I'll keep on checking further updates.

No, it doesn't
Thank you so much for creating this module!
I have waited too long for this! ?
The full screen gesture does not work for me. I tried a full reboot instead of just restarting the keyguard but still no luck. Also, there is a little "t" missing in "Directly show gesture entry" in the "Gesture Settings" section.

Give me SystemUI.apk

[Module] Xposed-DataUsage, shows system data usage in the status bar

Here's my first Xposed module, DataUsage. It shows the system's data usage for the current usage cycle in the status bar.

Good work, I've been trying it on my N5 and N6P (both on AOSP Custom Roms), works just fine.
What Settings have you been planning for a future release? Color Customization maybe and positioning would be great
Works fine on the Nexus 6 running CM13 13/03/2016. It's a little bit too close to the next icon (Bluetooth) bug works fine

Thank you, it's the feature i need.
Tested version 0.5a on my cm12.1, it works fine.
Here is my suggest:
1. Support multi-sim.
I'm using 2 sims, but use the 2nd sim for internet, seems version 0.5a always show the 1st sim' data usage.
2. Show GB or MB by user's option, or just use the string from the system's Settings.apk(when less than 1024MB, shows xxxMB; when more than 1024MB, shows xxxGB.
3. Let the DataUsage show after the QuickSettingsBar's header, example after the time.
I think, the DataUsage no need show always, few people need it shows always, so i think maybe the better position is the QuickSettingsBar's header, after the time.
4. The apk file size show me 1.5MB, a bit large...
cheers

I totally agree with @rxzcums on this, the version 0.5 already work fine, but adding these options would make the module even greater! Thanks for this, keep on with the good work :victory:
Thanks for the feedback everyone, I'm glad to see it works well on other devices. I really just did this to see if it could be done and I'm happy that others like it too. To address some questions:
My current future plans are:
Color and font
Position
K/M/G multiplier
Dual-sim and having it on the quick settings bar are good good ideas, i'll check them out. Personally, I wanted to have it on the status bar because I wanted it available at-a-glance, but I could probably have the option.
The large APK is due to the Kotlin stdlib. I use Kotlin for everything now and I haven't enabled proguard for the beta release.
Doesn't appear to work on Project Fi Nexus 6p. Jist shows 0
Works nice on s5 g900f Cm13, thanks
Working fine on my Zenfone 5 with Lollipop 5.0. One possible minor tweak though.
Would it be possible to only have it appear on the statusbar when the mobile data is in use?

Ok, I didn't see it's a link post screenshot
Here's a quick screenshot for others who don't see the link, which that you need to copy the entire content of the first post, then edit the link then put it in your browser to view
I don't think the provider should matter but does anyone else have Project Fi? No usage is displaying for me
Nexus 6P -- MM 6.0.1
I'll try to investigate the Project Fi issue but it may take a while for me to figure it out since I'm in Canada and don't have access to a Fi phone. In the meantime, v0.6 which adds some requested features is up, check the OP.

Thank you, it runs perfectly on my Nexus 4 (Fake ROM + Cataclysm mod).
I would like to ask you if you could add an option to place it, on left side of notification bar. (Read 'Planned features:' in github)
Thanks in advance
Edit:
What MiB stands for? (Found what is MiB)

Probably because Fi doesn't count as mobile data?
