I have a redmi note 3 with cm13 who is working perfectly.
I bought an other for my father. I just installed ROM cm13 by santosh with lastest gapps nano.
All is working, but i can't take photo and video. I have an error when i open camera app
I try the official Google camera app apk. Only photo work. Video record doesbt work.
What is the problem?

Use the official cm13. Not Santosh's cm13. Everything should be fine.

I'm using it right now on Bliss ROM and it works perfectly fine.
Is it fully functional? Because in google camera 3.0+ doesn't working video recording... Is video recording working?

Currently I have RN3Pro(SD) on MIUI 6.9.15 (xiaomi.eu ROMs) and I have rear camera s5k3p3_omida1 and front camera s5k5e8_yx13:0. Is there any ROMs (AOSP/CM based, 6.0+) with these camera working? I've tried official CM13 (18Sept build) and front camera doesn't work. On my current ROM fingerprint is so bad, few times didnt recognize and auto relock after while front case closed although I've disabled Smart cover. Thank you.
I have official CM 13.0 and everything works like a charm. When you flashed CM did you flash the supported firmware as well?

Hi guys, Im having an issue with my rear camera on my RN3 Pro after i flashed the goodix_fp.zip and radon kernel v2.8. This is the order I flash my files in TWRP: cm 13 firmware, 20161014 nightly official rom, Goodix_FP_8.zip , Radon cm-mm kernel v2.8 , and then wipe cache. Fingerprint works perfectly but my rear camera is disabled. I only have the front facing camera and there is no option or button for me to switch cameras. I even installed snapchat to see if i had the ability to take pictures with the rear camera but no luck. Is there something I'm missing to flash? I have a Redmi Note 3 Pro (3GB ram / 32Gb rom ) (Goodix FP) in case someone can tell me if its even possible for my model to have both fingerprint and rear camera working on Cm13. I also left a screenshot of what it looks like without the camera switch button on this rom . Any feedback would be appreciated ( :
well, i tried cm14.1 and resurrection remix nougat builds around 1 month ago. they had camera problem, like flash doesnt sync, no video rec etc.
till now, is any rom available with no such camera issues?

Go for 5.7.4 RR ... It's MM but rockstable. Nougat is, right now, not worth trying if you rely on a working phone.

yesterday flash legend rom and slim rom,i have same problem with both rom. i cant access rear camera,when i switch to rear camera still on front camera but upside down.
idk if the problem only with omnivison,but when i tried with samsung sensor everything normal.
We need a fix for this.
For Now Acip,Halogen OS and Lineage 13 are fine.
I think the problem is in the kernel because yesterday when i flashed the velvet kernel my camera stop working.
This needs some more attention, it doesn't seem to hard to fix because some roms already have the support and I would like to see all roms support the omnivision camera.

Might be part of it but using AICP kernel on RR doesn't make the rear camera work
