Does it increase the data/internal partition or root partition if you wipe the hidden and persistent partitions?

Modifying partitions is possible through "parted". Wiping Hidden could bypass the samsung bloatware loading in first boot on Stock ROMs, and formatting Persistent could fix the FRP locks. But I see now that formatting EMMC partition is not possible! (Stupid mistake of mine) I will keep the Hidden wiping option only because it is ext4. Persistent partition is bypassed in CM-12.1 from source anyway.

TWRP Updated
TWRP has been updated to newest version with the following added features:
Wiping options:
- Support to wipe Hidden partition in recovery. (Samsung's bloatware loading)
Backup options:
- Support to backup existing recovery.
- Support to backup Modem.
- Support to backup Firmware.
- Support to backup EFS.
Miscellaneous:
- Battery management improvements.
- UI scrolling/display improvements.
- Kernel stability fixes.
- Change external SD mounting name to "sdcard1", just like in CyanogenMod.
Also moved download links to Android File Host for stability reasons.

Official TWRP App
Mar 11, 2017
Official TWRP App
The official TWRP app is the first and only first-party app developed by Team Win for TWRP. Please bear with us as we work to fix any bugs and build out the features. The initial version of the app does not support flashing on the Pixel due to the Pixel's A/B partition layout. In addition, the app may not support finding and flashing images from external storage locations. We are working hard to improve these items and bring you more new features.
Download Links:
We recommend downloading the app from the Play Store.
If you do not have Play Store access, you may download the Official TWRP App here: https://dl.twrp.me/twrpapp/
How do I use the app?
When you first open the app, you will be greeted by a few options. First, you will need to agree not to hold us responsible for anything that happens to your device while using the app. You may also grant the app root permissions. The app will work without root, but some functionality like image flashing will be disabled. Lastly, you can opt into enabling InsightCore (more on this feature later).
Once you have passed this initial screen, you will be greeted with the app home screen where you can choose TWRP FLASH or NETWORK STATISTICS (more on the network statistics later). On the TWRP FLASH screen you will need to select a device. Once you have selected a device, the app will periodically check for new TWRP versions for the device that you have selected. The default interval is once per day, but you can tap on the settings icon in the upper-right to change the interval or disable the update check entirely.
If you enabled root access, you will see options for selecting an image and buttons for flashing the selected image to boot or recovery. Note that you should flash TWRP images to recovery. The boot image flashing is for flashing full boot images (not just kernel zImages) and should not be used for flashing TWRP.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADB BACKUP:
https://www.droidorigin.com/take-adb-backup-using-twrp-v3-1-0-0/
Update 1/5/2017
TWRP 3.1.0-1 MM build released.
Current status: BETA
Features:
MTP working
ADB working
SEANDROID warning fix
TWRP and Kernel built from latest source
Factory Image flashing(see below)
NTFS support
F2FS support >> To be added
Twrp app support
ADB backup
New feature available in TWRP v3 is system image backup and restore and factory image flashing (see TWRP changelog for details)
Basically this means factory images from the official firmware can now be flashed with TWRP instead of ODIN. I have extended this feature to include BOOT, RECOVERY, SYSTEM, CACHE, HIDDEN and RADIO(MODEM) partitions.
This feature can be found under INSTALL >> INSTALL IMAGE >> select image to flash >> select partition.
NOTE: To flash the modem, first it needs to be renamed to modem.bin.img
You flash this at your own risk. Please ensure you have the stock ROM to hand downloaded from SAMMOBILE in case of problems. This will trip the knox counter.
Instructions:
Flash with ODIN.
Put your device in DOWNLOAD mode.
Uncheck Auto reboot.
Load the respective file below into the AP slot and hit start.
After flashing and ODIN reports PASS immediately reboot to recovery by holding POWER + HOME + VOL DOWN.
As soon as the screen goes blank change to VOL UP whilst still holding POWER + HOME.
You should now see TWRP recovery.
NOTE: ON SOME ANDROID 5.1.1/6.0 DEVICES IT IS NECESSARY TO GO TO:
Settings -> Developer Options -> OEM unlocking
AND ENABLE OEM UNLOCK FIRST OR YOU MAY ENCOUNTER 'BLOCKED BY FRP LOCK' WHEN FLASHING.
DOWNLOAD:
TWRP: twrp_3.1.0-1_sm-j710fn_29417
To Root:
Flash the latest SuperSU release with TWRP:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/2014-09-02-supersu-v2-05-t2868133/
To disable forced encryption and mount internal storage:
(Note this MUST be flashed after SuperSU if you intend to root)
1. Boot to Twrp
2. Format Data partition using FORMAT DATA button under Wipe options.
(Note: This will wipe the internal storage)
3. Check DATA is mountable.
4. Install SuperSU (if root is required)
5. Install boot image patch below.
6. Reboot

J700h is common with on8(exynos 7580) but it can't work without some changes. Main problem is meta inf folder (Update script).
We may take j700h custom rom for modify on8,s stock rom and port it into custom rom

Well not being funny but the clue is in the question.
TWRP = not official software.
Rooting = Unofficial modification
Knox = Tripped
Device status =?

Well, that says it all. The only reason i wanted to root is substratum. But got to know that it wont work. And after getting nougat, root will not be required for substratum to work.
Do I need to unlock bootloader before flashing twrp or does odin do it itself? If I need to unlock it, how do I do it?

Thank you OP!!!
My problem has been resolved!
I will elaborate further when I get back home from current business trip.
Btw, I noticed that the recovery's SEANDROID warning message is now gone, good work!
Edit:
I have installed this recovery by flashing the IMG through v3.0.3 successfully and noted the following changes:-
General result:
When in recovery mode, the "red" warning message of "SEANDROID not enforcing" has been fixed.
Personal:
1. Now, I am able to flash phh's superuser flawlessly without any error message which were the case previously with v2.8.7 -> 3.0.2 and 3.0.3.
2. Now, when my device (with boot.img mod + phh superuser) boot normally, the red SEANDROID warning message is gone too.
Thank you for this new release :good:
I was having a problem to convert my cache and data partitions to F2FS as libf2fs.so was missing from your version 3.0.3 and is now included in this version :good:
This device is the only one where I enabled Adopted Storage, so I don't know if this a common problem. With it enabled I can't flash anything with recovery. Both internal and external SD are not visible or empty, and even if I copy zips into system folder, TWRP doesn't see them. Is there a workaround?
Only solution I found is using a different sd to flash files, but it's complicated and annoying.

Sorry then, just wanted to help when I google and read on its implications, pros and cons.
Everything ok, thanks
I flashed your recovery starting from last 5.1.1 stock. With official 3.1.1.0 I had a loop and I couldn't enter into the recovery but with yours I solved all my issues, thanks. Now my P605 is working well.
Cheers
DO NOT USE the one on the TWRP website, the latest version is giving bootloop. Use this version 12.206 KB or the version 2.8.7.0 initially !
Hi,
Does anyone know if this would work on P600 (n1awifi)?

No ! This is for p605
Hi!
I flashed this with Odin to my p605 and I am getting the "no command" error. I'm in 5.1.1 stock.
I unticked "auto reboot" in Odin, turned off the tablet and tried to enter recovery but I get the "no command" every time!!
Any advice?
EDIT: My god I forgot to enable developer mode and USB debugging!! Argh. It's working now!
SOS !!!
I tried to upgrade TWRP (3.0.x) by flashing the OP's img inside TWRP. Now I get a bootloop: P605 tries to go to recovery, restarts after 1 sec. Can't boot to the system, can't get to download mode and Odin, can't get to recovery. What can I do ?
Luckily, after keeping the power+volume+home buttons for minutes (nothing seemed to be happening, I was getting a reboot every 1 sec after 1st logo and "Booting to recovering" message) and also, in my desperation, starting to press every button randomly I eventually managed to made it to download mode ! I re-downloaded twrp-3.1.1-0-lt03lte_20170712.tar and flashed through Odin at AP. Maybe my previous downloads (had downloaded img for TWRP, tar, and zip) were corrupt or misnamed. The androidfilehost mirrors were too slow, had to download with 10 kbps and had to retry many times to get a valid/verified file.
Everything seems ok now.

I read it but probably misrenamed the files and used the bad version instead or the androidfilehost download was corrupted or something.

Hi,

Hardware issue ?
Dear all,
I was on Oreo and wanted to go back to the nougat version that last was upated beginning of Dec.
I crooked up bc I wanted update first TWRP via the app and stupidly selected the tar.
When I then rebooted the tablet no longer started - unsurprisingly...
Ok - thought no prob as via odin I always can go back to another TWRP - i.e this one.
I no longer get a connection to the tablet - it is not recognised when I am in download mode.
-> cannot flash via odin..
Do I have a prob with the hardware or am I overlooking sth ?
The tablet says the following when in dwnload mode:
Odin mode (in Red)
Product name : SM-P605
Current binary: Custom
System Status: Custom
Knox warranty Void:0x1 (4) )
Qualcomm secure boot: Enable (CSB) - in Grey
AP SWREV: S2, T2, A2, A2, P2 - in Grey
Secure download: Enable - in blue
UDC: Start
and btw - I am doing this via a laptop and I also see a bit of a flickering -> simply not enough juice ?
Tx for any ideas what I might need to do differently ?

What is TWRP?
Oh come on, you know what it is - don't try to fool me!
In case you're serious, though...
Team Win Recovery Project is a custom recovery for Android devices.
It allows you to back up and restore your data, flash custom ROMs to your device, repair broken file systems, root your device and more.
Read more about TWRP here: https://twrp.me/about/
How to flash and setup it completely?
- First, make sure your phone isn't RMM Locked.
- Download Odin3 v3.13.1, Samsung USB Drivers, latest TWRP's tar for your variant, latest no-verity-opt-encrypt zip and RMM Bypass v3 zip.
- Go to Settings App, Developer Options and enable OEM Unlock (If you don't see Developer Settings, go into About phone>Software info and tap "Build number" 10 times to show Developer Options menu).
- Do a backup of all your important data and files in your phone.
- Shutdown the phone. Once it's off, Power it On in Download Mode (Press and hold Power, Vol + and Vol - buttons together)
- Connect your phone in your PC, open Odin3, go in Option section and untick "Auto-reboot". Once that click the "AP" button and select the TWRP tar you downloaded before, then press the "Start" button.
- Once Odin3 finished to flash the recovery (you should see a "PASS" message), force reboot your phone (Press and hold Power and Vol - buttons together) and once the screen is off, press and hold Power and Vol + buttons together to boot in TWRP.
- Once TWRP is booted you first need to decrypt your /data partition. To do so touch Wipe>Format Data and follow the instructions in screen.
- Once it finished go back at the home screen and touch Reboot>Recovery. TWRP should be able to mount your data partition. Now copy the no-verity-opt-encrypt and RMM Bypass zip you downloaded before and flash them (touch Install and select each zip to flash it)
- You're now able to reboot to your OS without re-encrypting /data partition and without RMM Prenormal lock.

Try to in Odin. Once you press start to flash TWRP. HOLD Volume UP + POWER at the same time while the phone is flashing. Then when it reboots it must jump into TWRP. Cuz what you got is the phone reflashed stock recovery

Yes If N960N is Exynos Variant.
Device is bootlooping now at the splashscreen, Can't access any modes, 3 Button combinations (Recovery nor Download).
Any Ideas mate ?
EDIT:1 - After a series of button combinations, Charger plug/unplugs - Managed to push it into download mode and flashed the stock rom again.
The TWRP TAR doesn't work, and if you have any other suggestions, let me know.

Thanks for posting this! I'll more than likely be using your page once I finally get my bootloader unlocked from Sampwnd. The fact that US model bootloader unlocks need to be done with internal Samsung tools is pretty dang goofy...
