Mixed Adoptable Storage, how to delete the internal storage partition - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, I need your help.
I did a adoptable Storage configuration a few months ago. I splitted my 128gb card, 38gb as internal storage and 80gb as portable storage. Because I'll root my g5, I want to delete the adoptable Storage partition so the portable storage is 119gb again. My g5 gives me a option to format the adoptable Storage as portable storage, but will this format my portable storage? It is almost 80gb big, I want to avoid a format, backups take long.
Can I somehow delete the adoptable Storage part and make the portable storage 100% again, without formatting?
Thanks in advance

SD & Phone Storage ?

SD card you can put music, apps, pics etc.But i see two other storage Phone storage total space 10.48GB available 10.45GB and Internal storage available 1.9GB.Whats the difference between phone and internal storage.
I believe the smaller partition is the system partition. The larger is considered the sd card. Then there's the external sd card which is what you mentioned as being for music etc...

Move App Data to Adoptable SD, How??

Hey there, i have a problem with my h850 LG G5!
I want to move all my app data (asphalt8,...) to my adopted SD whitch i created with ADB. But when i say Migrate Data, it stops with "not enough space" but thats wrong. How can I move it without Root? IS there any other method? Does editing the build.prop with the ro.lge.adoptable_storage thing help too?
Hope you can help me fast.
Thanks in Advance!!!
What does your Storage saying?
Hi.
I've splitted the sd in 2 parts: adoptable Storage and a part as portable storage.
I can move apps to my adoptable Storage which works, but when I move asphalt, it only moves 50mb (the apk itself) and the /data for asphalt (1,2gb) stays and chills on my fu***ng internal memory. Migrating the data would fix this, but it doesn't work. It copies the full internal sd on my adoptable Storage BUT it doesn't delete it from the internal storage with the error "not enough space", which is not true because I have 12gb left on my internal storage. Now I have duplicated 2gbs on my adoptable Storage and I can't delete those. I don't want to try it again because then 8gbs are full. I tried that 3 times and in the German forum Android-Hilfe the other guys have the same problem.
Thanks.

Asking for swap internal to external

Is there any way to convert internal storage to external storage for mido?

Apps occupying more space from internal and adopted memory / storage

My phone is Huawei GR3 2017- Android nougat 7.0
phone internal storage 16gb
adopted storage approx. 5.8gb from sd card(of 16gb)
portable storage of sd card approx. 8.7gb
I've formatted a portion of SD card as internal storage.
When I install an app it's taking unusually more space than it supposed to.
for eg. Before installing
internal storage 5.6GB free
adopted storage from SD card 4.65gb free
after installing app "Sniper 3D" (around 74.18MB size in setting>app)(I've cleared cache & data)
internal storage 5.53GB free
adopted storage from SD card 4.51gb free
approx. total 215mb reduced!! which is 3 times of the app's size.
why its happening? what to do to solve this?

how can I unhide my internal storage after corrupted SD card formatted as internal

I formatted an SD card as internal, then got suddenly corrupted..
the phone is not accepting any other card even with the same brand and capacity..
I bought new phone, and I need to transfer whatsapp chat that already on the old phone, but the internal storage isn't available.. google backup also says no internal storage found..
need help..
Personally don't think you can fix corrupted or not working SD-card formatted as internal storage ( Adoptable Storage ).
As soon as you format an SD-card to be used as internal memory ( Adoptable Storage ) it gets encrypted, the corresponding key gets stored in device's memory, means this SD-card furthermore only can be used on this device, it's not possible anymore to mount this SD-card to another Android device. Quite reverse your Android device refuses to accept any other SD-card.
IMHO Adoptable Storage is absolutely nightmare as card fail frequently, using this expanded storage often will corrupt your files.
