Check light sensor.
Maybe when you replace screen, you take a damge to sensor. Normal when you dt2w, phone will check light sensor first, and then will allow screen on.

Proximity Sensory Not Working During Phone Calls

Stock Verizon Note 2 on latest update. I've noticed my phone will not turn its screen off while I am making phone calls with my ears pressed against the phone. Which is quite annoying as my cheeks will inadvertently press buttons while I am on the phone. When I try downloading a proximity sensory check tool on the play store, the sensor appears to work fine.
Anyone else experiencing issues with the proximity sensor while making calls?
Have you looked in phone settings and made sure auto screen off is turned on?

That would be perfect, by chance, do you know where that option is located? When I go to Settings --> Display I do not see that option, I only see smart rotation and smart stay options.
Open the phone app pull up your menu and then select call settings

Many Thanks! I have no clue how that option was unchecked.

[REQUEST] Double Tap to Wake

Dear Your Eminent Developers,
Please kindly develop this GREAT power-button-saving, life-saving feature of Double Tap to Wake (DT2W).
Simply double tap on screen to wake up the phone.
Much appreciated!

That would be a battery killer as the digitizer would have to be always on, so no sleep ability.

The feature is available on Nokia Lumina, as well as, the new LG G2. Moreover, many kernel developers of the HTC One have had success at incorporating the feature. The depletion on the battery is very negligible to none. Personally, I have used the feature on the HTC One for many months prior to the Sony Ultra, and did not notice any "battery killer" effect.
Looking forward to our developers incorporating this great feature.

I already have this feature on my sony xperia z ultra. Except I don't tap twice. I just tap once on a certain area of the screen.

So are you going to do the modification or are you just here to naysay?
Hi, gosh, that's a great app.
However, I cannot find the setting for tab on the screen to wake.
The app mostly relies on proximity and motion sensor to wake phone.

I thought I could until I just tried now and can't! I can double tap zoom out about 1 in 20 attempts.
Did Chrome get updated recently and broken or is this yet another touch screen issue?
No idea. Tried beta as well as ticking enable force zoom in accessibility.
I don't think it's a multi touch fault as in testing programs it's definitely detecting double taps

Works perfectly on my device.
Perhaps it's something that relates to the touchscreen problem on your tablets?
Update it works only in portrait mode. Wtf
