CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Whats not working:
VOLTE does not work
Video Recording(Download Google Camera from here and set the video quality to 720p)

-Reboot to recovery
-Perform a FULL WIPE
-Flash the latest version of this ROM.
-Flash Recommended GApps.
-Reboot and ENJOY!!

It's not working for me but someone from whatsapp group reported it working. Let me see if he can provide screenshot.

Yes, the ROM is still in beta so you can't use it as daily driver.
