CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.1.1 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Ok, so....I assume that this is FULL omni source based (that doesn't take ANYTHING from CM).....and there is no CM repo synced to get hardware working (not CM enabled like official aokp)......
right? please tell me yes, every damn rom out there use cm base, I can't stand it!

By what I have heard, OmniROM does not use CM as a base. You should be good to go (although you should check the source to see if CM is lurking around somewhere).

If a a ROM is allowed to be posted in the Original section, it is impossible to be cm base. Anything that is not based on source is in the other development section

no, I mean...is not fully based on cm, ok, but every "aosp" rom now uses cm parts to get some hardware working...I want to know if this is full based on omni source or uses cm code parts...IMHO cm makes my phone lag and is really overhyped...
or is full aosp, just like a nexus, or I prefer use sense...
even AOSPA now use cm code parts...and is the only thing that keeps me away from it...
What are the customisation options like this?
Just flashed to have a play around. Couldn't get any superuser app to take, were reporting issues with the su binary. Also button mapping needs some work, as currently there's both no menu long press option or overflow bar. I know the latter is normally easily fixed with build . prop, except I had no root
Otherwise seemed incredibly smooth in the short play I've given it so far

Strange have tried flashing it with the rom or after a full boot, clean install both times and it says can't install binary. Device is s-off so shouldn't be any write protection issues.

MultiWindow works. No fix if you're trying to type on the bottom screen though. And I can't get root either after flashing it :/

Is the multi window works similar to Samsung's?
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I downloaded and flashed the ROM with no issues. I flashed SuperSU v1.65 and it did not root. It mentioned binaries but wouldn't update/install them. From what I can see, it's pretty solid but there is very little customization under a section called Bars and menus. Hopefully it will get more of the options they mention further down the road.

Just a statement regarding sources: The source is released for all at GITHUB repo given above. BUT Free software does NOT mean no work or time was spent working on it. A lot of my free time has gone into patching/testing this rom. If you use my modified source in parts or in its entirety, I kindly ask you mention its origins and to send me a github pull request or PM whenever you find bugs or think you can help improve my rom further. This way the entire community will truly benefit from the spirit of open source.
Thank you !

Yes, it has full support OMS, about voLTE I have not checked yet, take the test and tell me, at first I need to know if it will boot correctly.
At least while I build aokp-MM to know what there is.

In the current build I do not have any big changes to compare with the one of use of the others here, but while everything fits, I am now seeing about Incall, as it seems to me to be something in common in Nougat, not something typical of J5, about FM I'm studying the sources ...
EDIT: Please do not make ETA requests, help with tests, logcat and solutions, I came here to help.
PS: Users advancing J500F, I need a preference for testing those first.
@#Henkate Can you tell me more about source tree?
Rip. Though that incall is fixed

Maybe someone else I've just switched from M8 to M9 last month... so if I'll start configuring all apps and accounts (I have A LOT of apps and almost 20 2FA accounts connected to the phone) over again my GF will kill me.
The only thing I wish to be updated in LOS 16 is the in call volume You should see mine temporary fix of the problem - I duct taped the top speaker cover to talk more privately
Good luck with LOS 17 I wish you will get stable status soon

I installed the ROM without any problems, boot is ok, then I installed the Gapps zip file, it installed without any problem too, tried to boot, waited ages then it booted to recovery, I downloaded a fresh copy of Gapps, installed, try yo boot, same thing happened. I checked the version of TWRP I use, it is the same as the link given.
