It works as long as u have installed on your phone any one of the samsung flagship port rom (S6,S7, note 5,7) that has theme option in it.

I installed this morning and ran the app, created a simple test theme and installed it.
When I go to themes the theme is there named [Dev_Only]Gadget Dark Theme. There are no preview images just broken image placeholders.
I have 3 options: Delete, Purchase, and Trial. Purchase says "This theme is not yet available, please try again later."
If I click on Trial the theme seems to load fine with the options and colors I set up.
Now the real problem...
I decided to load it up and try again thinking maybe it didn't install correctly.The theme installs via adb connection.
I load the program and get a message saying there is a newer version available, with 2 options: Exit and OK.
Exit closes the app and If I click OK it asks me to log in to my Samsung account, I log in and it takes me to a page that says:, "We’re sorry, the requested URL is no longer available: /common/getShortUrlMapping.do"
When I close that page it exits the program.
So frustrated with Samsung!
When this program first came out you had to send a request to Samsung for Dev status. I filled out all of the information and submitted. They emailed me saying that they were sorry but I didn't qualify for their program.
I am not a dev but I have been themeing Android since the Thunderbolt days, at one time I was very active in the Thunderbolt, Incredible, Rezound and S4 boards.
I give up.

For those who do not install it install Theme Editor but did not craft before cutting your internet connection.
For others who are already installed then asked that the update uninstall it and remade the installation then utillisation offline.:angel:

You have to theme certain parts in order for the previews to show like phone, contact, etc. I know in the different sections like message it shows preview image. It says DEV_ONLY because you applied theme from your computer. I go to menu and export apk and it creates your theme file and just install apk on phone.
Make sure your theme isn't applied and go to root/data/overlays/jsonfiles/trialjson. You'll see your theme and cut, paste into userjson folder. Then delete preferences folder in root/data/overlays and reboot. Then when you go to apply your theme, you only have the options to apply or delete your theme.
If you turn off wifi when using Samsung mobile theme editor you wont see that update pop up and it wont close on you.

Hi. I've tried it with internet off and it lets me name my theme and all that but after I click ok it just closes on me. I'm on windows 10 64 bit. Any ideas? Thanks

Well if it already said update and then you turned off wifi then that's probably why. Before you open Samsung theme editor make sure WiFi is off so it won't run in the background and detect update. Cause as soon as you open it it will say update needed if WiFi wasn't off. Hope this helps!

You upload your own wallpapers in wallpaper section of theme editor. As far as sound files go, I'm not sure. But I'm guessing you have to upload sound files as well. I don't edit that section.

You don't have to uninstall it, just restart computer or better yet stop the application and restart it when WiFi is off.
Also there should be another thread with updated Samsung theme editor.

No problem, maybe someone else will respond with another method. No I haven't updated to windows 10 because I will be getting a new laptop and hardly use it. I was hoping it would work but guess not, it worked for me.
Look around for the newest version. I have the next update from this one but its not the latest. Maybe there's a way to disable updates for it, I would look into that as well.

I just wanted to share my first Windows Mobile application with you. It's called EasyShares and enables you to monitor your stock portfolio on the go.
The app should be running on Windows Moble 5 Pocket PC and Windows Mobile 6 Professional devices. .NET Compact Framework 3.5 must be installed on the device. And of course, a data connection is necessary to update quotes. Quote information is downloaded from Yahoo.
EasyShares should in general be self-explaining. More information and download links are available over at http://www.easyshares.ch/.

Yes, this ability will be added. It's already on my todo list, but unfortunately I'm waiting for an update of the controls I'm using in EasyShares.
As soon as this update is release, I can start developing charts download and the ability to zoom in and out.

First of all, EzQuote and EasyShares are not the same and of course not from the same creator. But I have started developing EasyShares because of this 2 year D.E.A.D. of EzQuotes I was using it before, but it had to less features and no touch functionality etc.
Could you please explain every step you have done until you have been getting the error message?
What regional settings do you have on your device?

ok, seems to be an error in options.xml. try to delete the file options.xml in installation folder from easyshares. the file will be automatically recreated on next start of EasyShares.
Hopefully the error won't come back again. otherwise, i have to do some testing with your regional settings on my device.
please give me a short note, if the deletion of options.xml solves the error

found DATA symbol is storage in:
Device\My Documents\easyshare.xml
can this storage in
Storage Card\*\EasyShare or
Storage Card\ anywhere?
EDIT: I found the problem single digit stock symbol wont pass update " C, T, S, V, and Q" same result
Remove "C" stock symbol everything work fine hope next release will fix that.
Error on message
I'm getting the same error on my HTC Touch cruise device, I remove the options.xml file, and restarted the app, and it shuts down again, any ideas???

I am encountering this error too. I think I narrowed it down to the "Show Gain In statusbar" checkbox. There is something wrong there. When you load teh program it errors out and you can't open it unless you delete the settings or reinstall the program. Can you fix that please?
I really like this applications autoupdate side as well. It shows you what verison you ahve and what version is up to date. i wish all programs had this. Great job!

Great to hear it's working now for you. The data is saved in file easyshare.xml which is saved in the "My Documents" folder on the device.
Simply backup this file and ur done
If I find some time, I'll open an FAQ page on www.easyshares.ch where you will find such information.

Thanks for that bug report. If just verified. Yahoo is giving the correct data with single digit stock symbols. Seems definitely to be an error in my code.
I'm trying to fix that for the next Milestone.

Just before I go and start working, some news for you. The new build 7 is already available on www.easyshares.ch.
It fixes the two problems reported here:
- Wrong values were displayed when using single digit shares such as Citigroup ("C")
- The option "Show gain in statusbar" caused EasyShares to crash on startup.
Please let me know, if the errors have now been solved for you.

Manila Today Page was originally created for people who are using applications with Today screen plug-ins. When you use Manila or Sense, you are no longer able to display the old Today screen. MTP installs an extra tab, containing your Today screen plug-ins.
This is a modified version of MTP, compatible with EnergyROM's.

The images above show the Apple icon, I replaced it with the Window icon.
Installation instructions:
1) Install the cab file
2) Perform a soft reset
3) You should now see a second tab called Today Screen. If not, go to /Windows, delete ManilaFull.xml and perform a soft reset.
4) Select the Today Screen tab and tab the MTP Settings button to configure MTP.
5) Only select Today as Target Page, all others will not work.
6) tab the Items tab to select the plug-ins you want to display on the Today Screen tab.
7) Click the apply button
8) Close the MTP Configurator. If you are using WM 6.5.3, you will see no close button and thus have to close it through the task manager.

Added the /boot option to the shortcut in /Windows/StartUp, this causes the pop-up message to be suppressed.

Fixed 26948339_manila file. New Energy ROMs are more critical about the syntax of this file. It contained a double space and Sense could not handle that.
After installing MTP, you have to manually delete the file /Windows/ManilaFull.xml on the latest EnergyROMs.
Is it also compatible to Energy with Maxsense ?
Cannot get it to work..... I will flash newest rom and try again.

I have been successfully running V4.0 as the most stable version thus far for quite some time and have it loaded with my now Energy flashed HD2. Also, I put this onto the Calendar Page as it is far more logical and means I get a tab on the screen that shows me todays date - what are the advantages to moving to V5.0? That is, what has changed & what benefits am I going to see by reverting to using the today.page?

Nothing. If version 4 works for you, stick to it. Version 0.5.x.x doesn't differ much from 0.4.x.x, it has only to do with the extra tabs that came with newer ROMs.

I have never been able to use any other tab than the Today tab. You can select a different tab, but all other items on it are lost. If it's working for you on the Calender tab, leave it like that.

Quite simply by editing the Registry, I am able to grab the calendar page, does 5.0.2 give the option of the calendar page in configurator?
FYI: \\HKLM\Software\Microsoft\ManilaToday\TargetPage - set to calendar.page
Good Idea, but killed Sense, Seems that deleting "ManillaFull" is the issue. I'll have to hard reset.
What's about this logo, or better manila today page icon? I have searched a while for that on our good old friend google.

Today I got it to work with STOCK page.... So I can use your great program.
But I´d prefer to have a own manila tab for this.
I also recognized that the "stock"-tab was first not showed in maxmanila.
After moving it to a other position with the settings-tab I was showed again.
But this does not work with "today"-tab.

Could it be you are using a ROM which still contains the Documents tab?
I created this mod (I'm not the creator of ManilaTodayPage!) to make it compatible with the latest EnergyROM. The Documents tab has been removed from the latest ROMs, so you should have 14 tabs before installing MTP.

Thanx it works a treat on my TD2 with Energy Standard ROM.
But anyone know how to stop the "loaded today tab" message from appearing? it stops the rest of Sense from loading until you screen tap the message and is rather anoying.....i would just prefer a silent install and straight in to Sense for the device.

i have managed now the missing icon for the tab manager. The file name is 78DAC9C6_manila.
The screenshot shos the one from me. I hope that helps. If someone needs the file from me, please ask me here, or better via PM. Then i will publish the file. Not now because the user file memory limitation the last time o XDA .

MTP no longer works with EnergyROMs

Maybe you already noticed it, but MTP no longer works on the Energy Cookie Home Tab ROMs. The Today page is no longer displayed. It has something to do with the new CHT 2.0 version, but I can't find why it's no longer working...
If you still want to use MTP, select a standard Sense page (like the Stock page) to host your plug-ins, that will work.

what you say is strange, because i use all CHT 2.0 stuff but NOT on a 3rd party ROM. It is possible that the ROM cokker has deleted some functions? Possible there is something cokked in what stops or reload the ManilaFull.exe or something in the registry. This can' t be a CHT issue. My HTC STOCK ROM is working without any issue.
Advise: ask the rom cokker, because all this 3rd party software is changed in 99% of all cases.

You are right. I installed CHT 1.8 on this ROM: same result, no MTP tab. So it must be the ROM, so either there must be something missing or the Windows build (21680) is not compatible.

This is strange as I'm using Energy with Cookie 2.0 and I have no issue with installation of MTP. I just disabled Sense and then installed MTP on to main memory. then restarted my TOPAZ and then deleted the 'Manilafull.xml file' from Windows folder then restarted and there was the MTP tab next to my Home tab. When i switched to the MTP tab and MTP settings I set up the Target page as BLANK (did not make a selection).
I have no problem with MTP to work on my Energy ROM 29th Sept build. I still have not managed to get CHTS to switch profiles without locking up the Device. Now for the time being i have switched to manual mode until i can find a solution to this problem.
Hi guys! I've been using Samsung devices for a year or so (Samsung Galaxy S Captivate and now Galaxy Tab 10.1) and I like how TouchWiz look, but I hate how Samsung threw so much green in their blueish theme so I made this mod.
My goal is to take off every green in the TW UX theme and make it blue. This is something I started making for me and I decided to share it with you.

Installation instructions
1. Download the file
2. Extract the content, there's one folder for every apks you need to pull from your tab (As of now there's only SystemUI.apk)
3. Pull the appropriate apks from your tab
4. Make a copy of your stock apks in case something goes wrong
5. Make sure you did the previous step
6. Re-read step 4 and 5
7. Open your apks and copy my images into the appropriate folders
YOU DON'T NEED TO DECOMPILE OR EXTRACT YOUR APK, JUST OPEN IT USING YOUR FAVORITE ARCHIVE MANAGER
8. Push your modified apks to your tab and reboot.
I strongly suggest to reboot in recovery and use adb to push your modified apk
The reason why I use this installation method rather than a flashable zip is that this way, you can apply this mod on any ROM or Build version, as long as you have TouchWiz on your tab.

I havent flashed it yet. I am still enjoying my completely stock Tab at the moment. Perhaps in a couple weeks I will start flashing things onto it.

It doesn't modify anything, only image swapping. You have to modify your own apk so you still have stock. You need to be rooted though.
Thanks looks good, no clue why they didnt match the colors in the first place
I was thinking of doing a theme myself, mostly just changing the background of the settings menu etc, maybe some icons too, just not sure about the amount of work involved

I don't know what is ninjamorph so I guess it won't work with it...
SystemUI.apk is under /system/app/

The only reason why it wouldn't work is that you did something wrong. It's just some modified images.

and I have done this exact same thing before with my phone. I am new to the tablet, but have made many themes for my HTC Sensation and I have made recovery themes. Those are way more detailed than this is, so Im not sure exactly what I could be doing wrong, which is why I asked for suggestions besides the obvious.

Hey guys, at the end nothing is wrong, it missing something .
I have found and fixed it. Froli you missed the folder drawable-sw600dp-mdpi for the galaxy tab 10.1. So to see in my original SystemUI.apk in the Overcome Rom. <- link
When you copy the same pictures in that folder then it works. Only one or two images are missing. I will report this in 15 minutes. Have to take a look now.

1 - quickpanel_icon_airplane_dim.png (uploaded zip file quickpanel_icon_airplane_dim.zip)
2 - the green checker by AUTO setting for brightness
.. - i didn't find it he must be somewhere in \system\framework\res\drawable-mdpi
.. - btn_check_buttonless_on.png or
.. - ic_bullet_key_permission.png
.. - otherwise i don't know for the moment
3 - added the icons for data (quickpanel_icon_ing & quickpanel_icon_data_on in zip quickpanel_icon_ing_and_data.zip)
4 - will check for more, but you users can put a finger on it to let us know which icon is missing or wrong colored for TW

Intro:
You may not know it, but Samsung(and maybe every popular Android phone manufacturers) has a ready-to-use Light theme "pre-installed" in our devices, not only the Galaxy S Advance of course, this theme probably exists in every latest firmware for Galaxies from Samsung, including Galaxy SIII, Galaxy S2 and many more I guess, the Galaxy S4 is not an exception, which also comes in the Light version already set. I found a way to switch in this light version, and it's VERY easy. Maybe newbie-friendly too. Ok maybe not so easy but it still is as simple as adding a word. Literally, it's only adding a word! Read the "Notes:" sections at the end of the post before doing anything.
Getting to the point:
These themes exist in the framework-res.apk, specifically, in the /res/values/styles.xml
You will find different themes in there including Google's "Holo(.Dark)" and "Holo.Light". These are the basic ones, which will be used by almost every application that does NOT have it's own skin, so these applications will use the either Holo(Dark) or Holo Light.
There are three(I think) more basic themes in there including the stock Android, this one is based on Gingerbread I guess.
The other two are the Device Default and Device Default Light. These two are the ones that a manufacturer, like Samsung, can edit to give it's devices a custom and unique style.
A stock application that comes pre-installed in the software(Like SecSettings.apk, MusicPlayer.apk e.t.c.) will probably use either the Device Default or Device Default Light. This is up to the manufacturer to choose. In our case, Samsung has set most of it's applications to use the Device Default.

How to set the Light theme to an application:
Requirements:
The application which you want to change it's theme. (I will use SecSettings.apk as an example)
apk-tool (I use APK Multi-Tool because it's very easy to use)
Notepad++
Know how to decompile/recompile
Instructions:
Decompile the .apk.
Go to "/res/values/" folder and open the file "styles.xml" with Notepad++.
Click "Find" or press "Ctrl+F".
In the "Find What :" box enter "DeviceDefault" and hit next.
Check the first result you get, mine was this:
Now, copy this ".Light" (without the "), this is the magic word!
You will paste this exactly after every "[email protected]*android:style/blabla.DeviceDefault
Like the image below:
Even if there is something after the DeviceDefault like this:
You will still paste the ".Light" exactly after the DeviceDefault like the image below:
Make sure to paste it ONLY in "parent=" lines, and in EVERY "parent=" lines. There are exceptions though, based on the .app. But don't get confused, even if you make a mistake, will be able to find it and fix it later. For now just continue the "paste" process.
Once you have finished the "paste" process, save the file and overwrite the old one.
Recompile the .apk.
That's it! Copy the .apk on your phone, place it where it belongs and set the right permissions.
Reboot, open the application, and take a taste of a light UI that your phone's manufacturer had hidden from you.
Notes:
1. I don't even know if other manufacturers like Sony do this too. If yes, then this tutorial will work for these phones too, probably.
2. Don't try this on framework-res.apk. framework-res.apk can be used too for you to change your theme to Light, but it will probably cause many graphical errors. And it also requires a different way to change the theme. I have tried it and got both good and bad results, check the second post for more information.
3. If you tried and had any errors I could use a hand, just post your compile log and myself and maybe some other people will help you if we can.
4. Modifying the framework-res.apk in a proper way will allow every stock application to be themed without having someone to edit them. Again check the second post.
5. If you find something confusing you can freely ask by posting here.
6. I am not sure about everything that I say in the "Intro:" section. It's just my theory, excuse me if I'm wrong.
7. These themes are the main reason(probably ) for the apps to have both "holo_dark" and "holo_light" variants of .png files and colors. People who have edited SystemUI.apk's and framework-res.apk's "drawable-" folders will understand what I am saying.
Here is a modded framework-res.apk, with this I managed to theme almost every stock Samsung application without editing anything except the framework-res.apk.
I am totally sure that I changed some things without thinking first. The styles.xml is big and I almost got lost. I did everything I could for now, I'm sorry.
You can flash it only on LQB firmwares, maybe only some of them. Check the screenshots to see what I have managed so far. Expect MANY UI bugs.
P.S. It's just for you to see how a Light theme would look. Don't complain about bugs on this, please.

I just have one note, to make this much much easier...
When pressing Ctrl+F go the replace tab and on the find space type "DeviceDefault" and on the replace space type "DeviceDefault.Light"... Then press replace all... This should replace everything in one click, I guess.

Absolutely NO ERROS before after compilation.

What could be the reason - any idea???

Did you copy the META-INF and AndroidManifest.xml from the original apk to the new compiled in dist? AFAIK is it like signing. When you try to install by hand do you get a parsing error?

As you can see from the enclosed screenshots - no problem with the compilation and signing.
VTS is taking care of the same.
What I'm trying to do is copy framework-res.apk, systemui.apk and settings.apk from different custom ROM to current ROM.
No problem in copying and overwriting the original files of current ROM.
TAB works fine.
NO FC's.
Only thing is I'm trying to change LIGHT theme of secsettings.apk to DARK theme.
Either I get APK n't installed or FC (SystemUI.apk etc).
Again If I replace secsettings.apk from CUSTOM ROM to current ROM - works fine. NO FC's.
Might be I need to dig deeper....
I finally did it!
UPDATE: The App is now fully released with the abiltiy to install packages with their dependencies and progress bar notifications on PC and Mobile! This app can now fully replace the built in App Installer and Windows Device Portal for sideloading apps

NOTE: I don't know if it's a bug or not but on mobile, when I open an .appx or .appxbundle, it asks me what app I want to use to install the package but it doesn't list mine. Maybe it's because I'm on the insider builds so please message me if opening the files works for you on mobile.
For mobile there's a workaround for this shown below. On PCs, the app works exactly like the built in app installer.

1. Sometimes install completes, but still showing installing 98-99% in app..

I can fix 1. and 2.
But I need help with the suggestion. I need a way to get the metadata out of the package. My app handles a StorageFile object so it's pretty difficult. I would only be able to show the app name and logo AFTER the package has installed.
Package installer is now feature complete!
You can now install packages with their dependencies and install progress will show in a notification (on all devices including mobile running on the creators update or above). Devices running earlier versions of Windows 10 will have the install progress inside the app like before but there are some notifications that pop up too.

It might be possible using the extended execution and the "extendedExecutionUnconstrained" restricted capability. I've released the source code so anyone could add it in. I'm done with the project right now. I'll just open it up as an issue.

There are some things that Microsoft know that they don't document. I'll open this up as an issue too. I've done research of my own but haven't found anything.
I can't seem to get this working in my Lumia 625, whichever app I try to install it just gives me a "The parameter is incorrect" I already installed the dependencies and have interop and cap unlock from Interop Tools, meanwhile Interop Tools can install apps normally (not entirely sure you were aware or not but that has also had the install appx/appxbundle option since a while).
On another note would there be any hope of you adding the option to also install xap?

pm me more details about your phone and what you did to get that error.
I'm also aware that interop tools has had this install feature. I don't know if it can show progress on the notifications like my app can though ?.
Lastly, no I can't add xap support. The API I'm using doesn't support them.
@EP1CNESSHD well this app did start on builds before CU, even on builds before AU, it allowed me to select an app and a dependency but when pressing Install both on a build before AU (10586.36) and after AU but before CU (14393.1066 and 14393.1715) it would give me the "The parameter is incorrect" error as I described, however once I managed to get CU (15063.297 and then 15063.608) it just started working normally, no error anymore, I didn't even update to the new build from after I reported the error (will test that one on 10586.36 and probably AU afterwards since you confirmed the Notification Extension requires AU soon) so my only guess is that something used actually requires CU, I'll have a look and try to find out what that is when I have some free time.
If anyone has devices on the anniversary update, can you try debugging the app on visual studio. You can clone the source code and even open the project directly in visual studio from github. The link is here: https://github.com/colinkiama/UWP-Package-Installer

After lots of testing and feedback, this app is now absolutely amazing for Mobile! Now on the Creators Update, you can check your install progress in the app and/or in your notifications. If you still have a Windows Phone with Windows 10 lying around then you should get this app ASAP!
[PC Users only]
On the other hand, Windows 10 for PC is still really annoying. PCs won't install any appx/appxbundle packages without their certificates existing in the "Trusted People" certificate store.
However, one person has created a working win32 installer that works around this. Unfortunately, they haven't finished it. Microsoft has made this unnecessarily difficult to sideload apps on PC without paying a lot of money for a certificate. I would love to see someone come up with a workaround for this that makes it easy for every developer to distribute their apps to everyone.

What's the metadata file (name) do you want to get from Appx file maybe I can help you, do you mean "AppxManifest.xml"?
I want a Msixbundle installed. Can this do it if I rename it to an Appxbundle?
