I have a Xperia X F5121 US version.
After flash the rom POISON, I can use the fingerprint.

flash another rom from central europe, uk, latin america using flashtools and you will have your finger print sensor activated US Roms don't have the software for using it

Hey, what about Xperia x compact so-02j docomo? Is it safe to flash from a different country?
Pliss help me guys..

Something 4 free?!
It would be nice if someone posted step-by-step how-to SIM unlock Xperia Mini (and Mini Pro) for free (if it's possibile).
Tried many links on this forum - mostly all of them are non existing, and all the others do not explain nothing.

There's no "World generic", not that I am aware of but. The swiss version appears to be absolutely free of regional customizations

i have installed MiniCM nobodyAtall from above link and keyboard backlight of my U20i is not working, there in comments in above link(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1415026) they have given d settings to fix it,but i cant find it and also cannot post a reply as m a new user,so can anyone help me with dis problem.
Cant u just ask there in the rom thread, in correct forum for your phone?
This is mini, minipro, active, live walkman and ray subforum, not for x10 mini pro which u got.
probably it would be best to ask in the ROM's thread as said before. I still habe a U20i here with MiniCM7-2.2.1 installed. Did you follow all the stuff?
- root
- recovery
- unlock bootloader
- flash kernel
- install ROM
Backlight in my phone is working alright. Most of the tasks can be done easyly with flashtool: http://androxyde.github.com/index.html?1354834893000

U serious???
It would be perfect if I can simply flash P .tft to U.... what about screen resolution for example? 540×960 opposite to 480×854? I know that these 2 phones are similar, but P has 8MPx photo, U only 5Mpx, P has HDMI output, U not....but this can work correctly maybe... But smaller screen resolution in Xperia U is main problem I think...

You can't do that.Even trying flashing any tft files of other device will resulted into brick.
I could offer to brick but i don't own any device.
If there will be a device for i sure will do.
No wrong giving a try.
--Cheers--
That's why I asked for "regular" porting, not simple flashing .tft ....anyway after JB release for XP I'll try to flash it and I'll see... I believe that we find some way for our small forgotten XU's

That must be only accident... I tried too some "impossible" things, but original .tft allways solved an issue. For example now - I'm runnig on 6.1.1.B.1.54, but with kernel 6.1.1.C.1.10...crazy crazyyyyyyyy :cyclops:
Btw I don't understand why Sony will not update Xperia U, a terminal with dual core and less than 1 year life time. About this mobile I have never understood why sony released it in May with Gingerbread while ICS code where avaible since 7 month before.
Actually I'm very disappointed with sony devices for their support like the false promise to update to ics in a couple of month when they took much more time.
I don't get how is it possible that manufacturiers don't understand that with such this behaviours they will lose a lot of customers.

When the device cannot be recovered by any method and is as good as a paperweight it's called a hard brick. Soft brick is bootloop.
