believe it or not music sounds better on my phone as compared to my laptop with b&o speakers. miui equalizer is so good and I want it for my laptop too

ARISE is not for PC and MIUI Equalizer can not be ported to PC they are so different operating systems.

Of course.. You cannot do that to PC.. These are meant to stay on Phones (until now).. If you badly need it, try DFX Enhancer.. Maybe it might help you out.

I have it on permissive too. Haven't tested bluetooth yet but it's definitely not working with the 3.5mm port.

What did you do?
Just too simple.
Wiped /system partition and updated to 10C android.
Installed Viper4Android 2.4.0.1 apk and installed driver. Rebooted and it worked

I was trying the flashable one but it didn't seem to work, installing the apk and then the driver worked for me.

As far as I've read and seen in video reviews the sound only comes out of one side, so it's not stereo.

The left is usually the microphone and right is the speaker. (Such is the case with the note 4.)

Redmi Note 4 has only 1 speaker, which is on right side. Left is mic and MI did the grills on both side just to make it fancy and balance.
