Hello, I am fresh Xiaomi Redmi 3s user. I want to flash my rom to latest global dev version but i can't start the download mode.
I am holding vol up + power button, phone starts in Recovery Mode, I click the Download button and smartphone starts the system normally without any „black screen”.
Do you have any ideas how to flash this phone (bootloader disabled)? I need it because there is small bug with BT that make impossible to use Mi Band.

i am a redmi 3 pro user so i dont know how you can go to edl mode.google on how to boot redmi 3s in edl mode then you can flash the rom.
can you boot on fastboot mode ?
So I check this tut: xiaomitips.com/guide/how-to-put-redmi-3-into-edl-mode/
1st method doesn't work. Phone restart and starts system normally.
2nd don't work on win 10 64bit,.
3rd - nothing happens. Phone shows battery charging. Nothing more.
BUT on the windows 7 64 bit second method works correctly

Hi guys,
my phone bricked and so I wanted to reflash the stock rom.
Since xiaomi has not given me the permission to unlock the bootloader yet, I had to reflash using the download mode method.
The flash go through successful but after that I get stuck on "MI Powered By Android", I flashed the version stable global V8.0.2.0.LAIMIDG using MiFlash 2015.10.28.0.
What am I missing?

Okay, it just took a ****ton to do the first boot, sorry for the **** post.
Did you disabled any apps from Google Play?
Had this problem before
You need to force entering the download mode. It worked for me.
here are the steps for forcing download mode, credit to Iyengar from MIUI forum, I can't just yet post any links here
1) Power phone off
2) Plug USB into Computer
3) Plug microUSB into phone
4) Hold pwr + vol up + vol down
5) When Batt icon goes away, release pwr, still holding vol up + vol down
6) Yellow /_\ (triangle, Downloading, Andy shoveling, Do not turn off Target!!! symbol)
You should now be in Download mode.
and i suggest you to use another cable maybe,
or just be careful with the steps -
step 1 - getting into download mode
step 2 - connect the phone to the pc
step 3 - opening miflash
be sure miflash is closed before step 1
My friend accidentally set his Redmi 3 Pro (MIUI 7.3) to easy mode and now it's locked in that settings. He's a noob about this so he asked my help. The only thing that I can access is camera. When I open the lockscreen there's nothing to show at home. Zero. Nada. He said it's okay to factory reset the device but frankly, I did not undertsand chinese in download mode and I literally find thread regarding it. Now, I've tried to flash it with fastboot rom or the global stable rom with MiFlash but it still not working. So, all I can ask is, how in the world can I fix this?
Also, the device is probably on locked bootloader. So yeah, it only worsen the situation.
I've been using this guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzNTxRVF0pI and it got stuck on MiPhone when trying to flash the device. Apparently, his internal storage has only around 1GB (it is 32GB model and somehow he manage to fill it up smh) left due to massive game collection on his phone. Now, new problem arise. I need to factory reset the phone, without entering recovery mode due to it crashing for almost full memory. I can enter Fastboot mode (power + vol down) and Download mode (Power + Vol up + vol down)
Can anyone help me?
hello i recently tried to go back to my stock miui rom on my redmi note 3 and therefore downloaded a recovery rom in order to do that...but the thing is all the miui roms for all redmi devices were posted there and i made a huge mistake and downloaded the recovery rom for redmi 3 pro and only after i flashed the rom through recovery and when it didnt start at all i realised my mistake as of now it wont boot into fastboot or recovery..it wont even vibrate when it push the power button..all it does is blink a red light when i connect it to a charging cable...anyone facing anything remotely similar please leave me some answers.
You can try the next thing If the screen is completely black and red blinking led..
Connect USB and look at your PC Device info.
If you see the there the Qualcomm 9008 driver, the phone is in EDL mode and you can flash a better rom with Miflash.

If your phone is not in eld mode you can do one thing. Hold your phone as you can press both the volume button simultaneously than connect usb cable to pc than first insert micro usb in your device than instantly press both the volume button. If led blinking that means your phone in eld mode

I tried to access fastboot, by pressing vol-up + vol-down key and connecting it to pc, its shows green light of notification instead of red light blinks. and i also tried by pressing vol-down and power key. and finally phone boots into rom. but whenever i restart the phone it keeps coming to twrp.
Can anyone help me to access fastboot option. I will be very thankful to you guys.

If you are on any custom ROM like LOS, head on to developer options and turn on "Advance Reboot".
Now you will get "Reboot to Fastboot" option upon clicking Restart.

No. AFAIK, it doesn't work this way. You are either doing some step wrong.
Double check your steps. It's most probably a human error.
Make sure you are holding the combination long enough.
And carefully follow the steps mentioned in the above link.
If it doesn't work, then I'm afraid, you'll need to contact customer service.

Last week i have buy Redmi 5 plus 3/32 and run normally but suddenly tonight when i use for listening music and view instagram app my redmi 5 plus is dead no respond when long press power button or fastboot key but when i plug into power the led white is blink fast, before i go to service center is anyway i can power on my redmi 5 plus ??
Anyone can help me ??

Well, it´s difficult to know exactly what cause this sudden dead. When I receive myy device from AliExpress I noted that bootloader was unlocked and when I try to flash through miflash tool (it works with device in fastboot mode) it says permission denied, it means that something was wrong in this unlock-procedure; I don´t know if you purchased in this conditions but this is an alert signal.
I could to enter in fastboot and how was unlocked I flashed TWRP and used a custom rom, but you know if it is a similar case that could help you.
First of all check your battery charge and be sure that you are pressing correctly vol down + pwr at same time without realease any till bunny appears but if you have a locked bootloader you can´t use miflash tool. Also you can try to enter in fastboot at same time that you connecting to charger press vol down.
There is a special mode EDL (download for Xiaomi) that is used to flash a rom without unlock bootloader, of course this method is hidden for any user.
You can Google these two options to enter to EDL mode; Normal method is pressing the three buttons at same time that you connect device to pc till vibrates then release but not always works that.
- Deep cable EDL
- Test Point (you need to open the cover)
Then if succesfull you have to download your fastboot rom image, drivers and also miphone tool (if not the same that miflash tool) this tool works in download mode to flash Xiaomi devices
