Great job corkiejp. I am wonder can this app add optional function let say the fingerprint when touch will take a picture in camera.
Miui has the function but CM13 dont have the fingerprint camera shutter function.

I'm not the developer but in the original linked thread. I believe that feature has been requested!
Currently if you use the action to sleep, it will interfere with MIUI camera function, sleeping the device instead of taking a picture.

Xposed Module Beta
Confirmed working and more stable than without the module.

Early version of the xposed implementation was just completed. I upload it for test only, you need to bear the risk of testing yourself. In addition to xposed implementation, it is no different from the 0.5.0 version, if you do not want to test the Xposed module, there is no need to update.

This is an app you need to install yourself. Doesn't come pre-installed.
The latest version can be found attached to this post or also available from xda labs <<< Open with XDA Labs app.

Fingerprint Gestures
There is an alternative app called "Fingerprint Gestures" that people may like to try instead. But requires allot of permissions.
It marked my device as incompatible, but is also available from xda labs.
Edit: - Just tested on my device and is incompatible for a reason, it doesn't work.

[APP][XPOSED] MaxLock, an AppLock alternative

This is the continuation of the MinMinLock module developed by @FatMinMin. All original credits belong to him!
Features
FatMinMin said:
Conventional applock softwares use polling to detect current running process, which drains your battery and slowers your device. This is why I have created MinMinLock. With the help of Xposed framework, MinMinLock uses an event-driven method to detect app launch and lock it, which results in better performance.

I would have to create another version, since most APIs I am using don't work for GB. Also I don't know if the base code works.
Maybe some time later, but for now I'll focus on the main version.

The app stays unlocked after first opening it. If you want to relock it, you have to close app from recent apps.
So it's not a bug, it's a feature.

In future we have option for this?? E.g relock app on every opening and also with screenoff option??
I'm using miui android and the apps won't get locked when I close then from recent. Maybe add an select able manual timeout which starts counting as soon as the app is minimized?
Also +1 for auto lock option as soon as screen is turned off.
The lock itself is working great! Thank you very much! I've been looking for a simple app lock.

Hi max
Please consider adding a master switch.
Also there are some problems , for example i want to send photos via viber and the password field pops up , when i type it and click ok it starts viber over and doesnt start its gallery for choosing photos , appreciate your work.
Thanks
It's possible to add the system apps like the app installer?

As Max said, the app relocks once it's removed from "Recent Apps" or force closed. There is no time limit or anything like that... the process stops and the app gets locked. It has been like this since the first version.

As i read it it says it get's locked after some time but i you want to immediately lock it then remove it from recents. That's why i asked.

No, @devotek is right, it is only locked again when closing the process, the timeout is another thing:
When launching an app, the app gets force closed by module and the lock activity gets launched, so after entering password the process is restarted. Now the timeout (some milliseconds) only helps that after relaunching the app it doesn't prompt again for password. Hope you understood.

Fingerprint sensor as button/swipe surface in CM

Hi,
I'm currently using CM13 on my Honor 5x. Is it possible to use the fingerprint sensor in the same way as in the stock ROM to pull down the status-/settingsbar?
Not at the moment
Is it planned? (let me guess: drivers not available/no hardware documentation?)
I have no idea but it could be, however if 7.1 is brought to 5x then you will use (it's backed in it)

I just did some research:
- As you stated 7.1 (API level 24) will bring this feature (Moves (Fingerprint swipe down gesture - opt-in); https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android_version_history#Android_7.0_Nougat_.28API_level_24.29)
- As far as I understand CM14 will be based on Android 7.0 which means -> I have to wait for CM14.1 or whatever name the Android 7.1 based Cyanogenmod will have
You're right, our bet to get CM14.1 on devices is like 4 months at least
CM is dead but now there is LineageOS 14.1 with fingerprint sensor support since today.
Anyone knows if it's possible to use the fingerprint sensor as button/swipe surface now? If yes please explain how

Not yet i think, fingerprint gesture was very recently released in the rom so maybe in a newer stage of the rom or in one of the coming next updates they will implement it... (i hope)
but i think you dont expect it for minimaly a week yet...
You have an app in playstore "fingerprint quick action".
Tried it, but only one tap worked for me. Swipe i.e. fast touch and double tap not working.
Swipe gesture need software based on hardware so not so easy to implement

MOD

Make a mod in the call pickup (receive) from the fingerprint senser, for the Redmi 5 Plus or all xiaomi devices,,,, please thank you xda devloper team...
I've been searching for that feature left and right ... i have no idea why it doesn't exist.
Edit : MIUI Pro has a feature where it can utilize the Home Button for answering, but that is not a physical button or sensor. Pretty useless if u ask me.

99% there won't be a pick up call gesture in that app , it needs to be made specifically for the device i think. Built into a Rom or something.

Not needed, fingerprint is a feature present in all newer devices actually, it just need some elevated permissions to work correctly. It works perfect in miui roms, I didn´t try yet in aosp roms.
Of course all of the apps that are implemented natively with the rom they suppose to work better, more responsive and with a lower battery consumption.

New Notification LED app that actually works.

Just installed this and it works well even with AOD enabled.

Follow the instructions exactly on the original thread and the top of the app itself. Turn off AOD and give all permissions. When selecting the apps you want to enable click the app name and select the color you want for that particular app (It doesn't seem to work unless you do that), the name of the app will change to that color. Once it's working you can switch AOD back on.

I'm on global Pie too and it didn't work until I assigned colors to the enabled apps. Ensure you click confirm for the colors.
However try these solutions:
1) Reboot your device and enable again
2) Uninstall and reinstall
3) Disable AOD before setting up
4) Ensure notification access, autostart etc are enabled.
5) Lock the app in recents
6) Basically give it all the permissions it requires.

Hmmm. App was working great until a few days ago when it started draining the battery on my Nex. All of sudden it started showing up near the top of the battery stats. Uninstalled and everything is back to normal but I miss the functionality. Maybe the next update will rectify whatever it is the developer changed.

Themes / Apps / Mods How-To Enable Two-Button Navigation on Android 12 (Root Required)!

I am a huge fan of the old Two-Button Navigation that Google gave us with Android 9. I always try the latest and greatest with nav gestures and always come away feeling like they are lacking. Unfortunately, Google officially removed Two-Button Navigation with Android 10. Fortunately, there's a way to bring it back! And it's even easier now than it was before! Just install the Magisk Module and enable it in Settings.

Can you try testing the following:
Turn off Auto Rotate.
Turn your phone sideways while using an app that supports sideways view.
Check if the "rotate display" icon appears.
The reason I am asking is because the "rotate display" icon no longer shows up for me after updating to Android 13.
