1) install adb/fastboot
2) fastboot lemax2 by hand or by adb
3) if needed install fastboot driver (win 10) from fastboot ports
4) flash twrp & restart recovery (twrp)
5) I did full wipe but you can try dirty flash if you like
6) flash cm13
7) flash gapps
8) flash supersu
9) restart lemax
10) disable 4 china apps (where I dont know what they are for)
11) select pixel launcher and enjoy

In my case it is rebooting really often when loosing lte signal on sim 1. When the signal is stable then is working fine. Any hints how to fix it?

did you clean wipe before install?

This is probably not related to this, but how would one make google play store work if you download a pure stock chinese rom? I got play store to work on the 21S rom because it has the letv store that you can download play store from.

oh I see now that recording video dont work

[Discussion Thread] CrDroid ROM

This is the ONLY thread you guys will talk about the CrDroid ROM.
DONT post questions or whatever at the other leaked AOSP ROM thread else it'll create much confusion
So far annoyances thats been reported are:
• Random reboots (at least for some people)
• Auto-brightness
• Underclocked CPU
• Not working HDR & Panaroma (solved with workaround)

Regarding Random Reboots !
I have been using the ROM since yesterday though i have yet not observed a single reboot . I have tried following things as suggested in AOSP thread however it does not give me a reboot. Auto Brightness is the only lingering issue i faced !
Any pointers to reproduce the reboots ?

I can try this but not sure of the exact steps to follow... I like the CM rom very much.. blazing fast with ART, but random reboots quite often. I am now using wakelock to control the reboots. if you think changing the boot.img can help, i will try it out. lemme know what to do for tht

Done... Flashing went ok but after booting all my apps are gone (I didnt do a clean wipe while flashing.. only wiped dalvik)
The apps are gone anyway.. so i went back to recovery and did another clean flash.. Reboot the phone, but no mobile network. Unable to latch on to network even manually.. so may be there is something missing in the boot.img ?
Back key
Anyone can confirm back key in this rom didnt behave as it should after deleting pre-install files such as baidu services apps
edit 1 - looks like it has been warned by the dev as do not delete keyboard input method or else back button wont work..
Where is the link to the ROM. I'd update OP. Also, is there any bugs with the ROM? Or is it working like AOSP?

Hmm if that's the case it could actually be an application setting or something is screwed up...
First would be to root your device and use BetterBatteryStats app and let it monitor a full device cycle from full battery. It requires root access in order to work properly. If you're lucky it will state what app or service is causing the massive battery drain.
Next suggestion if you're unable to resolve the app or service causing the battery drain is to try to wipe data, system, dalvik and cache and reinstalling your ROM and Gapps of choice. Next please be sure to set up the device as a new one and not recover a backup. It could potentially recreate the same issue.
If that doesn't work? Sadly the next thing to try is a little more extreme...
Back up everything important onto a PC or cloud storage and then reboot into TWRP.
Next plug a USB cable from your PC to the phone and then download your ROM and Gapps of choice to the PC.
Now in TWRP do a format data in the wipe settings. It will wipe everything from the device.
Then use your PC to transfer the ROM and Gapps of choice to the device and install them.
Set up device as a new one and don't do a restore a cloud backup.
Hope for the best!
I ll try this tips tomorrow, thank you
I bought the app "betterbatterystat" , is it normal to have the deep sleep to like 90 % and wifi too ? i don't really use my phone but i lost a lot without doing nothing on it ( every rom stock or not).

[GUIDE] How I flashed TWRP, Xiaomi.eu rom and rooted with Magisk

Hey guys.
The below is my full experience of how I flashed TWRP, the Xiaomi.eu rom and rooted with Magisk. Whilst it essentially is a step-by-step, it also contains not only how I succeeded but also how I encountered issues and so...
*UPDATE!*
Here is a slightly condensed verison with thanks to @airwebber
Get the latest xiaomi.eu rom from here or here, just scroll down and find the "xiaomi.eu_multi_MI9..." version.
https://sourceforge.net/p/xiaomi-eu...ty/?page=0&limit=100#5cb9f96ee8ba7c44716e87ff
Get the latest magisk (magisk v19 works at the time of writing this post):
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
Some versions of twrp may not work on older builds other than the latest (9.4.25) and so use this one with:
https://mega.nz/#!CH5jgYTB!yNqOiVoo3cf0_15jIwZ-btO52cvpOG7iZrRCe19V2Nc
Once the waiting time elapses (usually 360 hours) use the MiFlash tool to unlock the bootloader. Warning: this wipes your phone entirely, so be sure to backup anything of importance.
Unlocking takes a few minutes and once 100% complete your Mi 9 will reboot. Your phone will say “unlocked” on the first splash screen while booting up.
Your Mi 9 will boot, and you will need to either perform/skip the initial setup stuff. Once ready, power off your device in order to flash TWRP.
Press both the volume down key and power key to boot into Fastboot Mode.
Once in Fastboot Mode, use the following command to install TWRP: “fastboot flash recovery XXXX” (XXXX = the pathway to your TWRP.img file). However, I find it best using Minimal ADB and copying the TWRP file and renaming it to “twrp.img” for ease) in the Minimal ADB folder location e.g. “C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot”.
Once flashed, disconnect the USB cable and boot to TWRP recovery by holding down both the volume up and the power buttons. This sometimes will bring you to the stock recovery and NOT TWRP! If it does, boot back to Fastboot and reflash TWRP.
Once you can boot to TWRP, push both the rom and magisk via CMD line:
adb push rom.zip /tmp/
adb push magisk.zip /tmp/
For ease, I suggest copying both files to the Minimal ADB folder location e.g. “C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot”. And renaming them to: “rom.zip” and “magisk.zip”.
This step is very important!! You must go to the Wipe menu and select: Format Data, then type “yes” to continue and then: do a Factory reset, which also wipes: Data, Caches and Format Data. If you skip this step you won’t be able to install a lot of important apps and will have to start over.
Now that you have pushed both the rom & magisk and wiped everything you needed to. Install the ROM immediately after install magisk.zip (in that order) both located in /tmp/.
The installation will take a couple of minutes (if your screen dims, don’t worry that’s just TWRP screen dimming, touch the screen to keep it awake!) once finished with no errors, then reboot and chose Do Not Install the TWRP app when prompted.
The phone will take a few seconds to reboot and show the first MI splash screen, but it should start booting. After a couple of minutes, you should see the initial boot screen! Perform the setup (connecting to Wi-Fi, adding my Google account etc.).
Once finished setting up, you may notice that magisk was not installed, if that happens, you can install the APK version and follow the prompts and reboot.
Once rebooted, confirm that magisk is now installed. If it is, I suggest installing SafetyNet and confirming your phone passes!
If it passes, you have successfully installed and rooted the Xiaomi.eu rom!
Also, when updating with each weekly I recommend the below as an alternative to using the built in Updater app. The reason being is I believe the updater app automatically reboots after it installs, which if you're rooted means you'll lose it. That then means you have to reboot back to twrp, reflash magisk, reboot, reinstall modules, reboot again etc.
Therefore to update a weekly:
Download the rom manually
Reboot to twrp
Wipe system and caches
Flash the rom and magisk
Reboot
Optional: I also disable my substratum theme too before updating and reapply afterwards. Whether it's needed or not I'm not too sure, so give it a try either way
Awesome, all files at the ready! BTW get the latest MIUI from HERE or HERE.
Make sure you download the xiaomi.eu_multi_MI9_xxx.zip.

Thanks for the detailed write up. The EU roms are google approved correct? Does the side Ai button work with google assist? Do you need to install twrp to flash or can I just flash global/EU rom if I don't want to root yet?
I just got the bootloader unlocked (1h before than I tought ahahah). I had some issue that the unlocker was telling to me thaat I didn't use enought the phone and that so I had to try in few days I overtook the problem using an old version of the unlocker (2.3.803.10).
Reading your procedure it all logical and fine, thanks! Except one thing that I'm not sure... Is xiaomi.eu a 'full rom' (on all Xiaomi that I had I always jumped straight to something different than MIUI and so I never tried it ahahah )?
If so, I think it would be better to wipe the system too before installing the rom. That's because doing so it will do 100% 'clean' installation and not a an update on the normal global miui

Yeah, to change the device name back to mi 9, just install "Find my device" app from Google play store, sign in with google account, there's an option in the setting to rename the device (this device).
That's the only place you can change the name back, I did try all, but only this one worked.

Problems with notifications on every AOSP rom.

Tried almost all pie roms. Wifi disconnects after a while i lock the phone. Or it won't use data even if it seems to be connected to wifi. Changing fw, kernel, recovery didn't work. Neither did flashing fastboot rom. What should i do? (i thought notification was the problem ,but no, i figured it was wifi)

Fingerprint sensor wakelock?

Hi,
So I've been having battery drain problems, especially when the screen is off... I installed better battery stats, gsam battery lab and wakelock detector lite to try and find why this is happening.. It looks like my phone never sleeps... I think this might be because of a fingerprint sensor wakelock (fpc1020_intr)? I dropped my phone and the sensor doesn't work anymore... and I think the battery drain started to happen at that point. Why would it cause my phone to stay awake all the time?
Can someone help me find a solution or understand what is happening? I unlocked battery.stats with ADB but my phone is not rooted. I uninstalled the fingerprint program from my phone with ADB and it seemed to work for a couple of hours but now the battery drain is back...
I'm not an expert so please be patient thank you for your help! I included some screencaps with more information. (Seems like the images don't show up?!)

Thank you for your reply. I don't think I have the double tap to wake option. As for pocket mode, it wasn't enabled when the problem appeared. I activated it to see if there was any difference in battery time and there wasn't...

Do you think there's a chance this will solve the problem? Why would the sensor make my phone stay awake? Could this potentially be a "mechanical" problem (when my phone fell it disconnected or broke something?)

Right now I have MIUI Global 10.2 stable (10.2.1.0 MHOMIXM) . It's the one that was already installed on the phone and that I updated when they asked me... Which ROM should I try?

Is there a reason the ROM would bug out of nowhere? And make the fingerprint sensor keep the phone awake all the time? I will try and factory reset and if it doesn't work I'll try and flash a new ROM. (I wanted to avoid all that but I guess I have no choice .. I lost 18% in 2 hours with the screen off..)
Do you have any link to a good ROM that doesn't require the phone to be rooted?

Dont be stupid. U need to unlock bootloader inorder to install custom rom. There is no shortcut.
U can officially unlock ur phone using Miunlock tool.
Installing custom recovery and installing custom rom 9.0 doesnt mean device is rooted.
I m on custom rom. But my phone is not rooted. Rooting is diffrent thing.

Ok, sorry for that, I'm new to this.
I will unlock bootloader and flash a new ROM to see if this solves the problem.
I flashed Aosp xtended Pie ROM, the battery life seems better, I haven't had that much time to monitor it..
But the camera and Google Photo app keeps crashing... Any idea why?

U must do format data in twrp.
Click wipe
Click Format data
Type yes to format
This will decrypt and erase internal sd .
Then reboot.
Camera will work then.

I installed stock version but I erased everything and now I have micro version. It works now! Seems like the fingerprint wakelock is gone! The battery life is still not great but maybe it's normal after a while..
