Help activating a note 3 to boost mobile - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

I've been trying to activate a SM-N900P*galaxy*note*3 from*sprint*to boost, I've seen a lot of people doing it and boost.com says it's allowed! Now the 4g lte working fine BUT the*phone*refuses to activate and I have a red x on the right side.
AND boost says the IMEI shows a N900 GSM NOT a N900P CDMA.*
Anyone know what's going on??

I have a Note 3 on Boost Mobile myself. The device must be a clean SPRINT Branded N900P or it won't work.

It is!!!

Drop a stock sprint rom on it, and possibly unroot, and try it again. Boost uses the auto -provisioning so if its not there (Sprint Zone) then it won't work.

[Q] How to force Verizon Galaxy S4 to use gsm 2G outside of USA

Hello everybody
My cousin from the USA bring me a Verizon Galaxy S4, I putted a local gsm carrier sim card and it worked fine, I have rooted it and installed hyperdrive on it, but the problem is that it's always on the gsm 3g network which consumes a lot of battery and I can't force it to use the 2g network since this option isn't available unlike the international version of the galaxy s4
Is there any way to force it to use 2g gsm network?

Verizon does not use any form of GSM. You are more likely on a CDMA network.

Maybe install Elixir 2? Maybe choosing network priority if there is any. The guy above has no idea what you are asking about.

Download the app from the store called phone info. Open it and select gsm only. This way you'll force the phone to work on 2g(gsm).

Hi,
My uncle has got me a new Verizon S4 from USA in India. He did not turn it on in USA neither he has activated the phone. He simply got me the box packed phone.
I inserted an Indian GSM SIM card and switched it on, it did recognize the service provider and then asked me couple of questions to select languages and all.
However it does not select a Network Operator. My Network operator is Airtel. It shows a List of Local Network Operators but when i select any of them, it says "Registering on selected network operator" but then it fails.
Can some one help me over come it and how i can use this phone in India?
Try to add apn for your provider and chose to search for the network automatically. Should work.

Restart to factory, when ask for language just tap the screen left bottom, right bottom, left bottom, right bottom and vol up.
The phone will activated, left bottom and right bottom mean just above the soft key, vol up is left side button for increase the vol.
Sounds network locked

[Q] Switching from AT&T to Boost mobile

Was told it was possible to root the phone to allow this phone to leave Sprint and be put on the boost mobile network. Can anyone confirm this before i go ahead with the rooting process?

Can't get mobile data to work om AT&T.

Just got mine from expansys and got a new sim card. set everything up including installing the AT&T apn file, but still i can't get internet access. Any ideas?
D6503 or D6502? If D6503, LTE ticked on in quick settings?
Sent from my D6503 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Check APNs for sure.
I had to go into settings > more (wireless & network) from there you can download Internet settings
Sent from my D6503 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
To get LTE do not give your z2's imei to AT&T since they need to have an IMEI of an AT&T LTE enabled phone in their system to be able to provision LTE. ( I'm using the imei from my m7). So, put in the sim card, go to where you have WIFI, download the apn, enable LTE or 4G, restart your phone and LTE should work. I figured this out after spending several hours with a supervisor in tech support.

+1. I just swapped in the sim from my Note 3 and used the 'download internet settings' and it works. As was mentioned, '4G' is LTE; I ran a few speed tests to confirm.

Everytime I use download internet settings, nothing seems to happen?
Yeah I was able to fix the problem by using the cingular apn setting, but that was on the 55 firmware, I updated to the 69 firmware and the default at&t apn settings that you can download to the phone worked. I have a D6503.
I am on ATT, I don't get the LTE icon, only 4G symbol, speed seems fine, but no LTE icon, APN setting was set when I download the MMS setting,
for those Z2 users on ATT, do you have LTE icon on your phone ?
The LTE & 4G icons seem to depend on which firmware you're running. It looks like 55 showed LTE, 69 showed 4G and 402 went back to LTE.
Sent from my D6503 using Xparent Red Tapatalk 2
Yeah I'll also comfirm the firmware icon changes. .69 removed the LTE icon for me too. No worries, speed is still the same.

[Q] Dead Radios - how to test...

My stock Evo 4g LTE was working fine. I unlocked via HTC Dev, achieved S-Off (via http://moonshine.io) & flashed "Super Nexus" ROM.
Now voice radio is dead. Can't connect to sprint towers.
My bud who has more experience than me worked with it for several hours & flashed stock kernels, etc. He says that I killed the radio.
Nice... what is the best way to return the phone to 100% stock & test the radios..
He said maybe I flashed a GSM ROM, but Sprint is CDMA, so why would there even be a GSM ROM for a CDMA Carrier/Device? Confused...
Thanks for any tips you can provide...

If you're running a sense Rom, dial ##72786# from your dialer and select reset from the menu. You won't lose any data. Your phone will reboot and reactivate. Try that.

Call or connect to chat with Sprint and have them activate your device. Be sure you are on a "close to stock" Rom for it to work. You will most likely need your MEID #.
Sent from my EVO using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Already did one better -- took it into a Sprint Store - had them activate it there... Can't connect to Sprint Network. NOTE: It wasn't a tech - it was just a counter person - but even after activating, no dice. They contacted their support folks for activation to see if there was any code they could type on the keypad to force it to activate... none of that worked. Can't connect to Sprint Network.
Plus, even if device isn't activated, 611 will reach Sprint Customer Service. And trying to load a web page should bring a message that data isn't activated on the device. i.e. it talks to the Sprint tower and recognizes that the phone isn't activated. Alas, it isn't even doing that...

Are you still on Super Nexus? That's a AOSP ROM and you won't be able to do any of the dialer codes or even try to activate it. You need to install a Sense ROM and try again what has been suggested above.
If flashing back to a Sense ROM doesn't get things working properly I'd suggest running a RUU. As previously stated, though, try the steps above & see if that works first.
Post your Hboot & baseband (radio) version, too.

Using Sprint LG G3 on Int'l GSM service (PrimeGSM rom) then later on CDMA service?

I will be travelling out of the country for 3 and a half months in May. I am on Fulmics 4.2 currently, Ringplus.
I planned to flash PrimeGSM to gain GSM service and pop in a sim while there to use, then flashing back to Fulmics 4.2 backup (or Stock Sprint ROM if there are any issues) when returning to the US.
Would using a ROM to gain GSM service (my sprint g3 is not international sim unlocked AFAIK) and then returning to CDMA service cause issues with the phone? I know that flashing a ROM doesn't change or alter your phone's activation status, just want to know if doing this will cause any irreversible changes to the phone, never done this before. Will test it when getting there to see if it actually is international sim unlocked by the previous owner (Bought it used) or not., if not will flash PrimeGSM rom for ls990.
Thanks!
So did u use prime gsm? And dod it work?

I actually am using Fulmics. What you do is get on wifi, download Mobile Network Settings app from play store, put in the GSM sim and reboot, go into that app and change mode to GSM/UMTS. Let it read the sim and then change apn for the carrier if youre using data and done
