Hey everyone. I recently rooted my son's Nabi 2 using the Nabixus ROM and since then, I can't get YouTube to work. Everything else seems to work ok. But whenever I load YouTube app and try a video, all I get is "Connection to Server Lost. Tap to Retry".
I've gone through the steps for tweaking the Wifi settings, and they don't seem to help. I even tried going through the stock and Chrome browsers to play YouTube with no success. I've wiped to factory and started again, uninstalled updates, and reinstalled all to no avail.
My son loves this tablet, but without YouTube, It may just be a paperweight. Is there another ROM I could try? A CM or something else entirely?

ok, i searched this thread and didn't find anything on this, though i could have sworn i read of others having similar issues before while keeping up on the thread. anyways, my youtube won't work. it will load and search, but when i try to load a video, it says "There was a problem while playing Touch to retry". i've tried multiple times, over multiple wifi's and over the normal data network, it always says the same thing. i decided to uninstall youtube and try reinstalling it from the market, but the market says that your device is not compatible with this item. i was able to get it from mobilism and reinstall it, but i'm still having the same issue. should i try reinstalling the rom? and if so could i do it without wiping the data or would i have to wipe the data in order for it to hopefully work? its works with through opera, but not the app

Ive tried searching around but my Google-Fu is lacking at the moment is seems. Im running the CM9alpha and everything is working fine, other then the list of bugs that are with the rom. One day my phone got disconnected from the Sprint network and so I had to flash back to stock. I reactivate with the network so I flash back to CM9. Everything is working fine, but I notice now when i go to the Play web site and try and install an app it doesn't install on my phone. I go and look at My Android Apps and it shows the app that are installed on my stock Sprint rom. Ive tried clearing the cache on my phone, rebooting my phone, and even uninstalling the Play Store updates. Nothing seems to work. Didnt know if anyone has had any similar issues and luck solving them.
EDIT: Just to clarify I have multiple accounts on my phone and chrome, but my main account is logged in on both Chrome and my phone. I recently bought Osmos HD on the web store and it doesnt show up that its even been bough on my phone.
Hello Everyone, let me start by saying I have been doing so much reading on this webpage in the past 24 hours (and casually browsed before) and I just want to say thanks. The site is awesome and the users are even better.
I recently installed ia3 of Android on Intel on my Acer Iconia W700 tablet. The guide to install was fantastic. I've had some issues getting GApps installed but I finally got them working where I went thru the google setup and everything and logged into GMail able to see everything so I tried my luck with the play Store.
The App loads and says "No Connection, Retry" I have tried installing a new .apk a few times, I even tried some of the suggestions regarding the ETC file (editing is, deleting it and all sorts of reboots etc) I've tried deleting the apk entirely and reinstalling and I just can't quite seem to figure it out. I am even able to install play when I am in system/app and long press and click install and I notice the version of play updated. Still having the same no connection error when the store opens up.
I know it must at least have an internet connection because anything I start typing into the search box it offers suggestions based on what I am typing. Ex: when i type in "Chrome" it populates suggestions such as "Chrome, chromecast, chromecast app, chrome browser, etc."
There has got to be something I am either doing wrong, or can try a different way. Thank you in advance for any help, and I'll make sure to click some thanks buttons along the way.

So for almost a year I had my phone rooted on Android 5.0.2, but when Marshmallow came to my device I decided to unroot and install the latestbuild. The only problem I have had with it since is applications rarely download, no matter how I try. Downloading applications from the play store fails. Downloading from unofficial sources such as apkmirror.com gives me the same problem. I also noticed more recently that when I try to download music from the google play music app that fails too. Strangest of all is anything else that requires internet, such as using Chrome browser or Gmail, works fine. On some days i don't have issues, but most days no luck. Does anyone know how to diagnose this issue?

I've been having issues with youtube app, both vanced and default.
I updated vanced app, think I also updated busybox, magisk and other stuff because I didn't use the tablet for few weeks. After that and few days it suddenly started freezing up. The app freezes but video keeps going on and then the popup with youtube has stopped responding wait or kill. Sometimes after pressing wait it starts working again but most of the time no. Sometimes google play services starts crashing too.
Ive uninstalled vanced but same goes on with default, i rolled back updates, same, installed different version of both ot and google play and same happens, also cleared cache many times, wiped delvik and cache too to no avail.
Youtube is my app I use on the tablet and it's been very annoying. I'd factory reset but i have no access to pc at the moment and i wouldn't know how to root it again, had help last time :/ any ideas what to do or try?
I'll have my pc in few days but it's really disappointing I'll have to go though the trouble of reseting it, setgi g it upz rooting and all that just because youtube doesn't work and i cant figure out why, googled long and wide but no luck
Just went through factory reset (or well wiped data, cache and dalvik) and during setup google play services has stopped working pops up and takes a long time to finish the setup. Upon finishing youtube still doesnt work lol, what to do next, flash something? I really don't get what could have gone so wrong
