Google play services stop working after Fire OS 5.3.2 update - Fire HD 6 and 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

After I updated my kindle fire HD 7 to the newer 5.3.2 version, the google play services stop working correctly: the YouTube doesn't launch (white screen on the startup).
I've tried to reinstall the app from the Play Store without success for that problem. After that I tried to install different google play services versions and I tried to install again the 4 APK needed to get the google play store working on kindle fire and I it get worse because I was stuck with a older play store version... after many tries I decided to restore the OS...
How I fixed that:
I did a factory restore on kindle fire, applied all the updates.
I didn't login with my amazon account
Installed the google play store using the instructions from this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/amazon-fire/general/how-to-install-google-play-store-fire-t3486603
YouTube working
After the google play services automatically update, I had to restart to device to YouTube start working again.
As long I can use the google play store and the google apps I will stick with the stock ROM. Also I noticed an overall increased performance with this fresh install

Did you install 5.3.2 with root ? Or just by itself (unrooted) ?

No root. I never rooted my kindle, no need of that yet

Google Play Store FC

My Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 got the latest update and broke root. Now I get a FC of Google Play Store every 30 seconds to a minute. I uninstalled it but then all the google apps stopped working so I reinstalled it. Does anyone know how to silence this or do I just have to uninstall play store?
Resolved
Now that we have root again this issue has been resolved.

[Q] can not install apps from playstore

Recently got a refurb Sony NSZ-GS8. I love the remote with the chicklety keyboard
Device is not rooted, just the Google TV honeycomb OS
I installed many apps *over 150*apps, via side loading and play store
of course 95% of apps either will not install or force close so I did a lot of uninstalling
but I finally got a few things going nicely if a bit slow
Now the play store is messed up...
I can purchase the apps in the Google play store but the install process starts and will never finish
I did clear cache and data for the play store app in system settings and same thing
Then I did a sideload install of Google play and play services and same problem
As a result I will need to install apps on my tablet first then copy the apk to cloud then sideload on Sony Google TV
So what really sux is something like AOL for Google TV can not install on my tablet as I get a message "incompatible device"
I also unplug the Sony NSZ-GS8 when I went away for a few days as the NSZ-GS8 feels too hot for me ,,,
Any ideas suggestions are appreciated
TIA Dave

Google Play Services

A while back I had to freeze Google Play Services at 7.0.99 so that the store would continue to work, but that meant I couldn't run a few apps that were prompting for GPS to be updated, like the Gmail app (and Netflix, when installed from the Kindle store, prompts for this as well, oddly... but just tapping elsewheres on the screen lets you bypass it). Is the current version still buggy, or has that since been resolved so that I can update things?
Thanks.

Google Play Services will always be a compromise on FireOS as the two were never intended to work together (at least through v4; suspect v5 will be even less accommodating). Your best option is to install a different ROM (Nexus v4 or CM11) via Safestrap v4.

Google Play Store [Services/GMS] problems [June 2016]

I had to fight this on 2 tablets now. The play store gives connection problems. I've tracked the issue down to the newer versions of Google Play Services.
Google Play services v 8.7.03 worked fine, such that Play Store never had issues. Then one tablet updated to Google Play services v 9.0.83 end of May, and another one just updated a week ago to Google Play services v 9.2.56. This screwed up the Play Store, which started to display the connection error. What's interesting is that if I manually re-install 8.7.03, the Play Store is still unstable, requiring me to sign in here and there.
Today I've installed a patched version of Play Store, the one that should not update itself (google for "patched google play store", select the link that also has the smiley app). Then I re-installed the 8.7.03 version of Play services. Regardless, within minutes, the Play Services got updated back to 9.2.56 (apparently, the patched Play Store does not prevent updates to Google Play Services). Yet for some reason this latest permutation seems to work, and I am finally able to get apps from the Play Store again.
There is no way to block the Google Play Services updates as we could do on FireOS 4.5.x ... The old trick with the directories named as apk does not work ...
Anyway, what the situation out there ? I am not seeing many reports, but the issues must be happening ! Please, chime in!

Phone restarting when I try to install any apps. Google Play Store problem?

I'm using a Chinese Huawei Honor 6 H60-L02 with Android 4.4.2 (rooted) that originally didn't have any Google Apps on it. I have successfully installed Google Play Services and Google Play Store. When Google Play Store is installed, everything works perfectly, including other Google Apps with my Google Account, except install. Every time I try to install an app the phone turns off and restarts (no matter if it's from Google Play Store, a separate APK, or Aptoide). I have tried uninstalling Google Play Store, then everything installs just fine. As soon as I install it again, the same problem returns. I have tried deleting cache and data, but to no avail. I can't find anything on the internet, any ideas!?
The ROM itself may be behind some of the issues as Play is not allowed in China.
