Hello to all members of XDA Developers,
Recently I have noticed that many ROMs have been closed, and, frankly, I think it is our fault, we have not tired of asking, betraying, etc.
I still remember the day I bought the J5 (2015), and there were no more than 2 ROMs, after a while there have been many, it has been a very good time; And suddenly we come, and we destroy everything.
For me, there is nothing better than seeing a developer do ROMs, it's like doing art. They have killed to make us enjoy each of their worlds. And how do we thank them? Closing their "posts"?
I think we have reached the point where we should meditate on OUR conduct.

Well said mate. I think that for us to have a thread to talk about what's been going on with the ROMs that have been created for our J5 phones.
I personally think that we have been really lucky to have had access to the excellent ROMd that have been made for us.
The developers must have work so hard to make these for us and I think that they have been treated badly.
Alot of the comments have been disrespectful when they should have been thankful.
We need to be able to discuss this with out attacking any body. That ain't gonna help.
How do you think we should proceed ?

muy bien quiero reportar a #Henkate este es su hilo http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=4471434 el cual ha cerrado varios hilos de roms valiosas para mi como usuario solo por creer que de cierta forma infligen normas sacadas por el y no le basto con un solo hilo sino que cerro todos los del J500M
It's a bad day for j5 rom developers, j5 users and j5 custom rom lovers.
Every thread, every rom had been eliminated from xda because a little and less imagination boy has banned every development for galaxy j5.
We need to ban him @HENTAKE
He's destroying the j5 community
I thought he was a good guy, he isn't what i though.
Let's keep going with this community and keep developing roms.

I thought he was OK as well but I was very wrong. What he has done is unforgivable. We have lost all our roms in one day coz he has gone out of his way to go through them, pick out bits and report them. Why would anybody want to do this ? It's beyond me. It's the most out of order thing that I have seen on here.
What do we do about it ? He has taken away the roms that we all use !!!
I have tried taking to him via PM but got nowhere. I tried to do it privately.
I feel so bad for ZONIK and DJ Steve and Vaserbanix they all worked so hard for us to have these ROMs and Kernel's
So what can we do ??

I want to report Hentake because I think that the closure and the ban without meaning of it inflict the rules of the forum, I as a user feel offended that much work is thrown in the trash because of this guy, neither we nor Zonik and Vaserbanix should pay for their problems

Today November 19 is a bad day for the community of Samsung Galaxy J5, today, our best developers, were attacked indiscriminately and mistreated closing their threads and blocking their accounts, we as the main beneficiaries of the work of these Great developers, the member @HENTake is a fake and a person of very bad class, we as main benefited of these great developers, we ask you to put your reason to walk, since what they did went out of their hands and abused everything What they could do, they ended up wanting to work for a developer, you end up with the community.

What causes a person to use the projects of others just to look for errors and cause problems to hurt? Can only be envious. I believe that if there really was a rule break ... that it should be talked about and solved a way of concerting without harming the developers or the users. No longer were enough negative comments about the rom, people who were in the right to always charge and charge without at least making a constructive critic and now this ...
I hope that this problem is solved, that the developers and the moderators enter into an agreement, because that way only those who lose are the users.
I hope that zonik and his other developer friend continue the beautiful work they do for J5, many and many users appreciate it. Do not call those who criticize, nor the envious, because until today had not seen developers as good as these, with new ideas and never seen before. Congratulations on your work.

Hello to the community today something happened that I am very sorry, I am a user of a J5 team and due to this user HENTAKE have closed the threads of 2 great developers ZONIK and VASERVANIX who make great contributions for the development of J5 .. The complaints raised by HENTAKE caused the threads to be closed and this causes both developers to be discouraged to continue in these big projects is not fair on the part of XDA to follow the dirty tricks of HETAKE I repeat hope that this has some solution and warning for This user who instead of contributing destroys and denounces are the work and effort of other developers ... a real shame.

It is a shame that for envy like @HENTAKE good developments in this community are lost, but it is still more embarrassing that you lend to your game without actually verifying the source of your complaint. XDA came to support the developed but today they have turned their backs on them. An apology for my English was necessary for me to use a translator so that I could get my feeling.

What has happened is so out of order I can't believe it has really happened.
The guy has got a big problem. !
But we are the ones who are suffering.
I have contacted zonik and am waiting for him to get back to me.
I'm of to bed but will get back in this in the morning.
If someone can get a letter together for the moderator's we could all add names too it and send to the moderator's ??

Sorry to hear that guys, seems that something horrible happened yesterday.
While I don't own an J5(2015)model (I got the 2016 one instead), I didn't really paid too much attention on the threads about J500.
But seemingly someone is jealous of others' work and keep reporting them to moderators, picking up some minor problems and causing the thread closed. However some posts is removed by mods and I don't really know the story behind, and what i observed is so much rom threads are closed at this moment.
Can anyone tell us about this whole conflict or event? thx
First and foremost, let me assure you, no one is being picked on. There are rules for posting development on XDA and they must be followed. If a member repeatedly breaks those rules, they are addressed accordingly.
We encourage development and we also actively try to help developers stay within the guidelines for posting work on XDA.

Moderator's inboxes are always open for any concerns you may have.
What was the actual substance of the GPL violation? I'm all for respecting the licence but there's no doubt the matter was handled very inelegantly.

So, guys. We need to wake up. We need to stop asking for estimated time of arrive. We need to respect all the developers. Please read every posts before you posting. Please search before posting. We've lost many awesome developers. It's all because of you you guys keep asking for ETA and never search before posting question. When developers feel tired, then he just decide to leave XDA. XDA is a big family. Only respect between each other can help to maintain the peace. Every developers & members deserved to be respected.
Regarding the CM9 thread, guys. Stop asking about the ETA and 'IS CAMERA WORKING?'! We could lost the only unofficial CM9 development for Galaxy Ace because of that.
Regarding the AOKP thread, guys. Be nice to the developer. Although they made some mistakes. But we have to respect them too. They're human being, not GOD. They working on AOKP based on the CM9. The only AOKP development for Ace currently.
Furthermore, I want to apology to moderators and every members for my behavior. I know I made a mistake. I shouldn't post all those things. Once again, a truly apology to every members and moderators. Sorry.

Your apology does however appear to be genuine and heart-felt. Regarding the noobs it's important that we guide, advise and assist them, not shout, swear and otherwise abuse what will, eventually, be the devs of the future. I trust that senior members will take the lead in this and stop moaning about noobs xda is not meant to be a closed shop and all new members should be made welcome.

The thing is that this is a DEVELOPER forum . I've seen such a thread where the noobs were trying to fight back discrimination , but were bashed down by the senior mods again .

As EmoBoiix3 said, this has been done. Imo people should stop trying to be a revolutionist and just do their part instead of telling others what to do. The only people who will take this to their hearts are those who have a bit decency, and those people are most likely not the "noobs" aka spammers. This kind of stuff are soon to be classified as spam.
It's not that hard to differentiate between genuine noobs (count the posts) and the habitual spammers. Report the spammers to moderator - I'm sure most would agree that so far he has been very fair and quite pro-active in handing out warnings by PM, giving general warnings on thread and being very willing to engage with members. It's his ot their job to police the site and ours to help keep it as clean as possible without totally stiflling comment and input. Also there is one section for Devs this section is everybody's.
Developers have no purpose without anyone to use their Mods and Roms etc.

Get it straight it is not the NOOBS who are the problem. It's the attitude of the rest of us towards them. We should show equal understanding and respect to Devs and Noobs alike !!!

Maybe the "search this thread" button needs more prominence and easier to use. Maybe repeat questioners should always be directed to search button? Yep. I made a lot for Samsung Star (not android phone) without any code on my hand 2 years ago. I developed for LG OP, HTC on tiad and did a few things for galaxy 5. As it was in other forums my posts for some of you make me a noob right?
That's why I disagree on calling someone noob just because of the number of posts... And also treating noobs in a bad way because they make the same mistake all of us have made: not searching.
We should just provide a kind answer and invite them to use the searchbar instead of kicking them out.

By official it means it's a a group I (not my first day on XDA) made here, with people from here.
With devs, that cook the roms, with designers who make themes, who posts here on Xda.
The other 2 (only which I found, I searched) are:
1) Inactive without replies and you can say an outdated one.
2) Which has been posted yesterday by GMattZ, but as I can see and feel it's not right, it's a group from Reddit, they just post the link today.
Maybe I take it a bit personal, but it doesn't seem right to me.
* With this said, I would love to ask from you to make it an official thread which me and @customworx (other old Xda member) will maintain.

By using the official tag in the title you're suggesting that this group is representative of, and an official work of XDA, which it isn't. I have no issues with you creating the group, but please remove the official tag from the title, it's misleading, and you don't have the right/status to claim that this is an official XDA project.
PS. Are you sure you're tagging the right person? @customworx has only been a member for a few months and has zero posts.

its great to have a thread like this, all things in one place. To start off i am looking forward to some rooting tricks which can enable the sdcard to be formatted or behave as internal memory on stock rom. CM 13 does allow that but here i mean stock rom , give a thumbs up if anyone got something:fingers-crossed: to share.

I'm currently watching Naruto Shippuden.
I haven't watched many animes, just few until now:
● Yu Yu Hakusho - when I was kid
● Inuyasha - not fully though, I watched when I was kid as well
● Kuroko no Basket all seasons ( 3 if I remember properly)

You should have posted here, although i mentioned in OP to not post stuff related to development.
I dont know if is possible to delete that threads and i wouldnt suggest that since our forum is not even popular yet. Deleting these threads would make our j5 forum to not look popular.
We got J5 forum because we had some threads with roms & kernel and there were some other threads.
I will report your post in the thread regarding MM warning... because this kind of post lead to more replies which will make the thread more cluttered...
Hey guys.
I have just managed to get myself a new contract phone ! After years of no credit they are giving me a new phone ! I will have the Honour 8 as from Monday !
So my question is, what do I do with this J500FN ?
It's running really well, rooted, TWRP and ZONIK's Performance ROM.
Do I keep it and just use it for helping test ROMs on here ( I like this forum)
Or do I sell it on ?
What do you think ??

I have just managed to get myself a new contract phone ! After years of no credit they are giving me a new phone ! I will have the Honour 8 as from Monday !
So my question is, what do I do with this J500FN ?
It's running really well, rooted, TWRP and ZONIK's Performance ROM.
Do I keep it and just use it for helping test ROMs on here ( I like this forum)
Or do I sell it on ?
What do you think ??

Huawei Honour 8 is a nice phone and i see that it has xda forum too. I would say to keep it, sell it or give it to someone from your family or to a developer which is interested to build for this phone (FROM SOURCE !) haha. Its my opinion.
Btw, you shouldnt have quoted KingWilliam post in warning thread....

The Honour 8 is a great phone I'm chuffed to be getting it.
I think I'm going to keep the phone and just use it for helping to test ROMs and yes from scorce if they are available !
I have to use the best these there is and I must say that the one I'm using is about the best that I have used !
I hope that CM13 well be out soon and the RR looks promising.

Yes I think I'm going to keep the J5. I will just use it for testing ROMS on here. I like being involved in this forum and love the development or our android !
Please remember this if you ever do come up with any new roms and want somebodu to do the testing.
I'm chuffed that I'm getting a new phone. I didn't go out to get the Honour 8 they offered it and I had read about it on here.
It's a great phone with loads of RAM and it gets lots of OTA updates. I wonder how long it will be before it's rooted !!

Strange? What's strange in being correct? Is that hard to respect forum rules and developers work (to not post warez and such) ? Is that hard?
It's up to you what ROM you'll use.
I'm not gonna make a new ROM. But I can help others in making their ROM, only the ones that deserve.
Btw, is anybody watching animes?

Henkate, I understand why you have done what you have done
The only problem is that you have stopped the roms that we are using and people ain't gonna be happy with that.
There are alot of people that were using them roms and were waiting for updates.
Your actions ain't gonna make you any friends mate but that obviously don't bother you.
Rules are rules I know but nobody was complaining . I too noticed the warez etc in the ROMs but didn't go report it as we were using the roms and it was making out phones better.
I could understand it more if you was making ROMs from source your self but your not.
I don't think many people are gonna work with you mate.

Oh I'm sorry if I came across as rude, I'm new to the development community here and meant that as a casual message, as well as a suggestion to find a official los dev, which would ensure the longevity of this device compared to something like a poco f1
Also, I was exaggerating slightly when I said no ROMs or kernels - kudos to those developing right now. I'm thinking maybe of compiling a few ROMs as well
