About
MoKee OpenSource is based on the Cyanogenmod. We update our source code frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features of our own at the same time.
A small group of people from around the world who are interested in Android launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better. Like most contributors of open source projects (Omni, CyanogenMod, Slim AOSPA etc), we are doing all these in our free time as our passion…
Since this project is open source, anyone interested can participate in the development (maintain new devices, contribute code etc). Newcomers are always welcomed!
Read here for developer application: http://www.mfunz.com/en/developer-application, you can host your unofficial MoKee builds on our server!
Features:
(I will mention only that which does not take into CyanogenMod)
Listview animation
Interpolation anmação listview
Update over the air can download the download website only incremental, it helps lower faster update and upgrade more easily:
Some icons and own layouts
Manager for Google services, so no need to use a large gapps, you can only download necessary at MokeeCenter
Ringtones, Alarms, Notification, UI sounds are all different CyanogenMod, thus bringing a beautiful charm to rom
bootianimation own
information integrated into MokeeCenter
Settings to add speed data network
Settings for navigation bar
Settings for Statusbar
Intelligent control settings to configure the newer apps and others.
What is the difference?
RELEASE: Tested after integrating new features, more stable than NIGHTLY. (Odexed builds)
NIGHTLY: Built daily with newest code and experimental features, might contain undiscovered bugs. (Deodexded builds)
HISTORY: Final odexded builds once a newer Android version is out and being built.
EXPERIMENTAL: Released when a new device is added or when a new feature is added for public beta testing and feedback. (Deodexded builds)
UNOFFICIAL: Maintained separately by individual developers, usually involves modification of shared code which cannot be merged (affects other devices), therefore maintained by the developer himself.
Note: We always test the shared code for bugs, however sometimes we may not be able to detect device specific bugs. If you have such issues, it will be better to report to the device maintainer.

There is nothing unsafe about caf. Caf ROMs perform very smoothly, but you sacrifice battery life for the performance. Also now that we are no longer officially supported, you lose nothing by going caf over straight AOSP.

Hi, I'm having issues with the camera app, even with Google camera not saving the picture.
Any ideas?
Everything else is working.
Cheers and thx.

latest OTA 20160109 to 20160110 make boot loop. And when i check with twrp File manager, bootanimation.zip becomes bootanimation.zip.patch and also messaging.apk becomes messaging.apk.patch

I flashed the latest nightly caf and between the various app appears substratum. I did not know that the CAF rom support substratum. Or is it a mistake?
Ota update (metod 1 ) not work

how can you compare the batt life for mokee and the other roms?
another thing is this odexed or deodex?
Let's try this!
Do you recommend any other kernel with Mokee or just the stock?

Downloaded and flashed as per instructions, the zip file being >300MB meant that only Gapps-Pico could be installed with it.
The system is quite smooth, all the apps including YouTube, Google Play Movies etc., are working.
Even the update, this being Nightly, went quite smoothly.
Oddly, one in a while, we get notification like "Browser has stopped", "Amazon has stopped " etc., but no serious failures.
I could not find the ' small gapps integrated into the system in the Mokee Center' that is mentioned.
Cannot go to forum, that being all Chinese.
Don't mind donating if I could get help in English !
Regards
Adding a photo to 'Users' in Settings doesn't seem to work.
Had to unroot to install SuperSu-latest for StickMount to work.
Did donate $5 to Mokee and now am getting incremental updates !
I found out that they had other Google groups that do communicate in English !
Regards
i have a strange problem , some apps that i used to download in my device before appears as not compatible with the device on play store after flashing this rom , other than that it is realy a very good daily driver

Looking at the downloads, I see:
11/24 Release MK60.1-shamu-161123-RELEASE.zip
11/23 Nightly MK71.0-shamu-201611232059-NIGHTLY.zip
I'm assuming MK60.1 is Android 6.01 and MK71.0 is Android 7.1. Is Mokee maintaining both OS versions? That seems rare at this point in time. Most devs have jumped to 7.0 or 7.1.
How do you do this exactly? I don't see anything in the mokee center that fits this

Yes maintaing both coz nougat is bit buggy right now so,
MK 6.01 Release= Stable 6.01= 6.0.1

I've ran it for about 24 hours and haven't run into any major bugs.
The only issue I have is I downloaded today's update and it keeps booting into twrp. I have to boot into bootloader, then "start" the device.

I have Mokee a 24 hour test run as well! I installed it as secondary with multirom, it works great! I did notice that the circle battery in status bar doesn't work, but it doesn't on CM at the moment either! The ROM works well!

Anyone running the 12/07 build? Camera or sd issues? That's the only thing I keep having with cm based roms.

I'm wondering this as well. It seems all of them have these issues at the moment.
Can anyone download? I'm trying to get the latest 6.0.1 release but the site claims there's an ad blocker with or without and wont let me proceed.
I had the same problem with Mokee for a Samsung device.Change browser (I mean Firefox was working, you can try Chrome and IE too).

I've tried in chrome mobile, chrome desktop, ie and edge. Will not let me download. Gave up.
It seems this ROM is not very popular with our device...any reasons?
No reason, it's a great ROM, it is downloaded a lot if you check the numbers in download page.
This ROM is very underrated imo.
It was a daily driver on my Nexus 4
If I install the release build and want to eventually upgrade to the nightly, do I just need to dirty flash the nightly over it?

It is recommended to clean flash when coming from a different version of Android.

It's not a totally different version, it would just be going from official version of this Rom to the nightly. I know a lot of roms when updating to a newer version you just dirty flash it. Wonder if the developer has any insight on this
Anyone have any feedback on the nightly builds?

Thanks, I missed that fact
You noted in video best battery life of ones you have looked at -- did you tweak anything in Aegis or was that performance with the ROM at pretty much it's default settings ?
Also - camera performance ? That seems to be the biggest challenge for clark in the ROMs I have looked at
Thanks for your YouTube videos on clark -very helpful
@stevejohnson42 it was with default settings.
Camera is fast and stable , its slow only when you open it first time after installing a rom, after that it is great.
Welcome . Thanks for your support.
Anyone have another link for this? I've been trying to download it for a while now and it keeps failing less than half through.

About
MoKee OpenSource is based on the Google AOSP. We update our source code frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features of our own at the same time.
A small group of people from around the world who are interested in Android launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better. Like most contributors of open source projects (Omni, LineageOS, Slim AOSPA etc), we are doing all these in our free time as our passion…
Since this project is open source, anyone interested can participate in the development (maintain new devices, contribute code etc). Newcomers are always welcomed!
Read here for developer application: http://www.mfunz.com/en/developer-application, you can host your unofficial MoKee builds on our server!
Features: (I will mention only that which does not take into LineageOS)

Changelog:
Here
Gapps recommended
http://opengapps.org/
Installation mode :
To install the clean rom:
Download the rom
enters recovery
make all wipes (all)
choose zip from rom and install
you can use a gapps any of its taste since it is for android 7.1.2
or you can go MokeeCenter after starting rom, there you can download the small gapps integrated into the system and have a lighter and clean rom.
To install upgrade:
Method 1:
just download the complete package via OTA
enter the recovery
only to wipe cache and dalvik (optional, I do not)
install the complete package downloaded via OTA
Method 2:
Download the complete package over the air and go on to install update
let install automatically for you
Method 3:
Download only incremental updates
for that you need to donate 30 CNY for the team to release the feature on the device directly
But you can do this update without donation
just go on the site and click below build itself where it is written (upgrade: OTA to MK ...)
there will be the incremental free for you, this will save on your data package or in your spare time.
Thanks @martincz for organization github

I updated all the repositories of IDO in mokee team and now I am the official maintainer for this rom, I am then any development topic so this thread can be used.
Roms are on my board from April 22, 2017.
7.1.2 Working good on my device (Redmi 3) with little bugs (sometimes force closing some aplications, and few lags)
But when I try first and second release, after factory reset in TWRP, settings after boot stop after language and wifi with "settings error, must be closed" and nothing more, but when I instal like update from 7.1.1 (ROM in MKupdater folder), everythings start normal after that.
MoKee is very good ROM, 7.1.1 is without bugs for everyday using.

You should read my note above, Redmi 3 was with its abandoned source on Mokee without any updates, so android 7.1.1 could be good but no updates, try to use today's build with a clean install, now everything is updated on the source Mokee, it should work fine now.
Good work bro. Your rom is amazing.
I can't see any download-links at the Mokee-website?
Congratulations! Nice work. I was using Mokee 6.0 because it was released a stable build, and it's great!

Old thread was shared only by a member without much knowledge and who was not maintainer of the rom, now I am maintaining it, so does not have any reason to be removed this.
Please, check this:

Working good without bugs, thanks.
In test for the week, thx for the rom .
With so many updates to this rom, this should be great in battery and gaming performance. has anyone tried the latest bulid, how is it?
This rom sucks!, the performance with this rom is very bad and many time it also lags ,the battery is ok but overall i can say that this rom is the worst amongst other roms
any kernel dt2w this mokee rom?

There's a really bad glitch where lots of apps aren't able to detect the microphone.
