Help! Huawei Y536A1 phone stays on the logo "android"! Thanks. - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My cell phone model is Huawei Y536A1. It suddenly turned on by itself for several times and then finally my phone screen just stayed on the "android". I tried several ways to deal with the problem, but sill could not work.
I tried ...
1. Alternate Master Reset Method: a) press and hold the Volume Up and the Power key for 8 seconds, then release b) Press the Volume down key until "wipe data/factory reset" is highlighted c) Press the Power key to select > Press the Volume down key until "Yes -- delete all user data" is highlighted d) Press the Power key to select e) Once data has been wiped, a green "OK!" with a checkmark will be displayed f) With "reboot system now" highlighted, press the Power key to select.
--> it did not work for my phone.
2. I also tried "wipe cache partition". It still did not work. It went back to the logo "android" again.
3. I went to AT&T store. They could not help because of out of the warranty. A staff even did not want to try. It's very frustrating. Later, I asked them to change my sim card to my traditional old AT&T phone. So, my Huawei Y536A1 is no sim card now. However, i still want to use it if it can work.
After I took out of the sim card, my phone screen will stay a global sign for a while and then turn of by itself. ><
I would very appreciate if anyone could give me possible suggestions to fix that problem.
Thank you.

[Q] LG MyTouch: Locked out

Hey XDA! my friend is currently locked out of my LG MyTouch. The phone came out a little over a week ago so there's no forum dedicated to it yet, so I'm posting here.
She used a pattern lock and can't remember the Pattern nor her Gmail account or her password. With the past two Android phones I had, I would just Boot into recovery (Vol. Down & Power button), but this phone won't load into one. I also tried Vol. Up and Power. Nothing. I then tried both, but it went into the "S/W Upgrade" screen. Is there anyway to bypass this without having to send it back?
Thanks a lot for time guys! Hope you can help.
Hey daft
im locked out too, and cant find a way to do a factory reset :S did you solve your problem?if so..how!!
did a quick search for you. didnt render any answers. try existing methods for entering recovery mode.
1.volume down+power
2.volume up +power
volume up+down+power
the phone deff has to have a recovery system. once u get in there use the volume down button to highlight factory reset then push power
then highlight wipe data/cache and hit power. when finished reboot system now
hope this helps
---------- Post added at 06:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:58 PM ----------
also if you are familiar with adb you can navigate to adb then type adb reboot recovery
hello
Vabeach, thanks i've already tried all of those:S
volume up and power
volume down and power
both of them dont do a thing :S
and when i try the volume up + down + power....the phone goes into S/W upgrading... could it be that i need to do the upgrade and then itll let me do the factory reset? :s
Try this. Hold volume down and power. Keep holding until the lg logo comes up. Once that goes away release both buttons

A master reset (factory reset) restores the original factory settings and erases all user data (including settings and downloaded content) stored in the phone's internal memory. It does not erase data stored on the SIM card or memory card (if available).
Note: If the handset is locked, frozen, or unresponsive, you can perform a master reset using the hardware keys instead of the menu.
Note: Timing is critical in pressing/releasing keys.
To perform a master reset using hardware keys, follow these steps:
Back up all necessary data. See: Preparing for a master reset on Android.
Turn off the phone.
Press and hold the Volume Down and Power keys.
Wait 3 seconds and press the Back and Menu keys.
Note: If you see the LG logo before pressing the Back and Menu keys, the reset hasnt been completed and you will need to restart.
Release the Power/Lock key after you see the LG logo.
Release the remaining keys after the LG logo flashes (blinks once).
The Android Unpacking screen appears.
The phone will restart and complete the factory reset.
Note: If you unintentionally press the Volume Down, Volume Up and Power keys simultaneously, the phone will display a circle icon with two arrows and 'S/W Upgrade, Please wait while upgrading...' message. You will need to pull the battery and restart.
it worked on the first try!
happy holidays
Glad u found the answer

do a factory reset like this guy said, or flash a .sbf file (be sure to flash the GINGERBREAD file, any other and you risk hard bricking your device)

[Q] Viewpad 7 continual looping at startup

I have a viewpad 7 it has been stuck in a loop from the 'birds' to the 'welcome' screen to a view seconds of black back to the 'birds' again for the last 2 hours. I am afraid that whatever game my daughter loaded on this evening is to blame, but I don't know. (ninja fruit)
I have tried pushing the reset, pushing reset with holding down the start, and it still does the loop throughout it all.
I am not high tech and have not attempted to modify anything so high tech on the system. I have sent an email to viewsonic in attempts to find out what to do, but I don't know when I will get a response on that....In the meantime I found this site, and am repectfully requesting any assistance.
Thank you in advance for your patience/response,
mpsquared

Dear mpsquared,
I met the same problem with the viewpad 7 that I bought for my sister, and the "Welcome" screen kept looping on and on non stop.
To solve this mess, you have to hard-reset your device (Attention: this will wipe clean all your user data on the device except for those on the SD card and revert your device to the factory condition.) as follows:
1-During the looping "Welcome" screen, press and hold the "Volume +" and the "Volume -" buttons simultaneously.
2-While holding the "Volume +" and the "Volume -" buttons, insert a fine pin in the "Reset " hole (located in the bottom besides the mini usb port and the "mic" hole ).
3-While still holding the "Volume +" and the "Volume -" buttons, leave the pin and quickly press the "Power" button. The device will restart with the famous Birds logo and at the top left "Enter recover mode" is shown.
4- Once the screen goes blank, let go of all the buttons (Power and "Volume +" and the "Volume -" buttons) and wait for the recovery utility to load (it should take only a second or two).
5- In the recovery utility: move down and up within the menu using the "Volume +" and the "Volume -" buttons to reach the "Wipe Data / Factory Reset "and to choose this option press the "Power" button.
6-Next, a confirmation window will appear, choose "Yes" from alot of "No's" and then press the "Power" button again to confirm.
7-Your Device will start wiping the user data and then it will reboot to the Android just like the first time you powered it on with instructions to set up your google account.
I hope this works for you as it did for me.
Cheers

I have the very same problem. My Viewpad 7 just loops on boot after 'WELCOME' message. How can I restore my phone without delete/wipe data? Because there is very important information I don't want to lose. Or is there a way to copy/backup data from phone before wiping?

It worked for me, but I saw there was an option to just re-boot and that sorted my ViewPad out well. I think it had too many apps, so I got rid of Skype for a start. That was a bit heavy. Updates seem to bother my tablet, so maybe I won't do too many of those either in the future. I'm much obliged for your posting. I thought my machine had met its end !

I tried to sbf and is not working please help.

My phone started to act up after i went from cm7 to 9, maybe i did not do it right. Today, i went back to cm7 to stop the problems, but i had the same exact problems and it only got worse. I tried to sbf back to i think 2.3.4, and i have done a sbf before and did the samething i did last time. Now, i am stuck in a boot loop. I think the problem is that when i did the sbf it had no details about my phone. Please tell me what i should do.
Did you wipe data? I have never sbf'd but I've read that bootloops are common and wiping data usually fixes it.
From Moonshadow:
17. Whether or not your phone boot loops at this time, I HIGHLY recommend performing a factory reset from the Android Recovery menu. This is also the process of fixing the boot loop.
a. Pull the battery.
b. Plug the battery back in.
c. Power up your phone by pressing and holding the VOLUME DOWN BUTTON and then pressing the POWER BUTTON until you see the words FASTBOOT (in white) at the top of the DX2’s screen. This should only take about 3-5 seconds.
d. Press the VOLUME DOWN BUTTON 7 times, or until you see the words ANDROID RECOVERY.
e. Press the VOLUME UP BUTTON and the screen will add “Entering Android Recovery” under the words ANDROID RECOVERY.
f. In about 5-7 seconds, you should see a white triangle with a yellow exclamation point in the middle and a little android down and to the right of the triangle.
g. Press both volume buttons at once.
h. The Android system recovery utility (second line of text) will come up.
i. Press the VOLUME DOWN BUTTON until “wipe data/factory reset” is highlighted.
j. Press the power button to start the process.
k. Once the wipe data/factory reset process has completed, press the VOLUME UP BUTTON until reboot is highlighted.
99% of the time I have not wiped data and cache after an sbf I boot loop and I am guessing that's the issue just pop into android recovery wipe those two and reboot it will take a few minutes for the first boot as usual but should be good after that

LG G2 mini Factory Reset

WARNING! Factory Resetting your smartphone will result in the deletion of all personal data stored on the phone's internal memory. This goes for contacts, third party apps, custom ringtones, downloaded content, images etc. Keep in mind that a master reset will not delete data stored on the SD or SIM cards. Before performing a factory reset, make sure you've backed up your data.
Factory Resetting via the Settings Menu:
1.While viewing the home screen, press the "Menu" key
2.Tap "System settings"

Factory Resetting Using Hardware Keys:
NOTE: Perform this method of reset assuming that the phone is unresponsive, it crashes / freezes or it otherwise prevents you from applying a factory reset using the settings menu. Keep in mind that, much like in the case of a reset through the settings menu, you will lose all personal data stored on the internal memory.
1.Turn off your smartphone. NOTE: make sure that the handset is not connected to any USB connectors
2.With the smartphone turned off, press and hold the "Power" and "Volume down" buttons at the same time
3.Keep pressing the buttons until "LG" logo appears, release the "Power" button, and immediately after, re-press and hold it
4.Once the "Factory Hard Reset" screen pops-up, release the hardware keys
5.Press the "Power" key to reset the smartphone. NOTE: to cancel, press "Volume Up" or "Volume Down"
