Cyanogenmod 14 downgrade to 13 help? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there! So, recently I upgraded to Cyanogenmod 14 from 13 and I also upgraded from Android M to N. I'm not happy with the new update, and I'd like to downgrade back to M and to CM 13. Does anyone know how to do this without bricking the phone? I'd like to not end up with a paperweight. Thank you! Also, I have an LG G4

Would that downgrade me back to Android MM at the same time? Or would I flash that from the LG Flash Tool?

Oh! Just kidding, I understand now Sorry if I'm being a pain, but would you happen to have the last CM13 nightly for LG G4? If not that's no big deal, I'll poke around some more until I can find it

There's a lot G4 variants, I can't help you without knowing which one you have.
In any case you can just find it on the official CM page....

All the CM13 downloads are gone from the official website, but I found a version I already used on my device, so we're good! Thank you so much for your help!

Ah my bad i see now i did a little digging around , dang that sucks.
Great news! I have an MDK S4. One (noob) question though, I went to the official forum for CM 13 for the S4, and it says they recommend TWRP 2.8.7.2 to install it... but I have version 2.6.0.0. Should I get 2.8.7.2 to install it, or will 2.6.0.0 be sufficient? If I have to do that, then how do I upgrade my version? Thanks!
Twrp manager in play store can update the recovery

Question: L22- how do i downgrade from B360 to B340?

Hi all, currently I'm on build number B360, L22 India. I want to use the custom roms available for this phone.
I read in one of the threads that the phone doesn't boot on this build, so wanted to know if there is any process to downgrade from B360 to B340 so that I can use the roms available for this phone. I regret my decision of upgrading my phone to the latest build..:crying:
Need help desperately
Any suggestions? Thanks

I read it here..

That's the reason I'm hesitant in flashing these roms.

I see now, thanks for correcting me. Seems some things indeed changed while I was on vacation.
you should be able to easily revert to B340 with the files in the repository

KII L22C569B130 looking for help.

Greetings! i'm currently looking for an android 6~7 rom for my huawei gr5 (compilation number on the title). I've found several but non of them matches the whole compilation and i'm afraid of bricking my phone, i've installed roms before but was on a nexus one (old old phone) so i'm basically new again. I would pretty much appreciate advice, links, and whatever might help me on this process. Thanks in advance.
There are lots of ROMs in ROMs and kernel section.
So any rom there with the kII l22 tag will work to me? Even if the c569b130 doesn't match? That's my biggest question.

All of them will work if you have a firmware with no VoLTE.

Those roms will work on your device...only caution is it should not be on volte..
Dont forget to Make a full backup and give it a try...
thanks for the advice!, what's VoLTE and how can i disable it?

Voice over LTE. You can't simply disable it for custom Roms to work. You need to be on B350 and below because B360 and above has VoLTE.
Mine is B130 so i'm ready to flash?

Also marshmallow firmware is required..
for the marshmallow firmware update, i can't just flash a 6.0 room to update it? (was used to do that with a nexus one haha...)

No.. stock marshmallow firmware should be on your device..
You can update via OTA update.. Or you canupdate manually.
After that unlock bootloader..then flash twrp and then flash any rom you want to.

Well I guess you can try from Firmware Finder. Worst case scenario is it will fail and your phone will boot normally.

Nope. This problem will be if you try to downgrade from 7.x.x. Upgrade should be painless. Also you can choose any channel. It will be work, but without ota`s updates.
I`ve installed retus on retcn. All working, except otas. Maybe in oreo smthng changes.
Also remember, you doing at your own risk. If you don`t fully understand what you doing - don`t do it. (Google it before )

Well, isn't it exactly what he meant? He has a 7.1.1 system, and the only version on that site was 6.0.1, so basically he will have problems with downgrading from 7 to 6, right?
