Is it possible to compile a cm13 or adapt the devtree for a cm13?

See devtree.

I just saw that the devtree is @Nick Verse. Why have not you compiled a ROM? Or no have time?
The devtree is wrong?

It will take some time, I won't be on the project for a while because of school and other stuff. I will look over this over Winter Break so I can use this and then I will answer the question after that. Thanks for this information, this is important for any future versions of community-made Cyanogen.

I will look into this too. Rigt now Im set up for AOSP, as far as my build machine goes, so I would have to change it all for a CM build and I am super new to building. But it would be awesome. I am going to look into the SM-T350 though. I just love this community.

As good as my rom is on battery, I would have to agree with you on CM13. I am a big fan of CMTE and have it installed on quite a few of my other tablets.

Well, you should start thinking about CM14, cause that's what I am working on so far. I got some part of it done, but it should be released before Summer Break or after Summer Break. It just depends on what my schedules are, such as I got to swim for my team, play basketball, etc.

Cm posts all their kernel source. Slim roms require a custom kernel. I build slim for a few devices and cm kernels seldom work so without the kernel source for the device it may not be an option.

download the caf kernel sources (can't remember which tag. 3.5.2.2?), map the kernel source from the device config as usual.
then make bootimage (which will install the headers),
finally, remove the configs for source built kernel, and map the dt image and zImage
the compiling is making it further and further...hopefully it won't break

OnePlus X Cyanogen

Hi Guys,
do you know of any updates on a CM12 port to OPX?
I am very unsatisfied with the Oxygen OS and very used (and satisfied) to CM. I cannot find any information about this...
Thanks!
I doubt anyone would put the effort into porting CM12 for the X or building 12.1 nightlies for it with CM13 on the horizon. But I'm not a dev, so I could be wrong.
I'm waiting for this too, but these are the disadvantages of getting such a young phone...
But arent the Specs very similar to other phones (minimizing the effort of porting)?
But I am no Dev as well, so I have no idea. Just thoughts

After CM12, 13 should be relatively easy, but that would require the kernel sources to be out soon. CM12 is with a prebuilt kernel as of now.

Best news today. Thanks a lot!
I didn't notice that posts...I was looking for a dedicated CM for OPX thread
I think OPX development will pick up more pace once it hits the US stores on 19th November. The phones only a week old after all

Quiet a surprising device actually ... They backported MSM8994 stuff on MSM8974. Don't know how that will end up.
Here's my TO-DO list if you are curious
Code:
TO DO :
- adjust firmware symlinks
- update init
- cleanup ramdisk
- custom liblight
- finish overlay
Would be nice if a lot of people could get me
Code:
getprop > getprop.txt
it will help for multinational radio

[DISCUSSION][AOSP] Let's build!

Ok, first i had done this for cm13, let's see what I can do for AOSP! Lulz. Think my earlier thread for cm13 created too much of hype and development restarted (joy++)
So, First of all, i haven't built AOSP as of yet for op2, will do it. If anyone can get the recovery working, or any progress, report here.
If we have AOSP caf tree, we will be able to port UBUNTU TOUCH, and many other ROMs based of aosp directly.
So here we go!

sure of course you can i already did it while cyanogenmod 13 was not yet booting.. the only thing is that you will have to modify tons of things into the device tree and tons of things into the aosp code to make hardware to work.. the only things that will work without modifications will be wifi and bluetooth.. maybe audio too but i'm not sure about that

Finally, i was trying to compile omni rom but kept getting errors. It was too much work. Way beyond my capabilities and even if i tried it would have taken me months to even make any sort of build. Bootable was not even in the equation. So i dropped it.
Will definitely try to compile omni again once we have AOSP build.

TipsyOs for Oneplus2

Tipsy os is finally here.
I have had it running, for about 4 hours now. No issues, wifi works really fast, alert slider works, fps works and fast! Also it's using the correct picture for fps, not the nexus one! Battery seems good. Also, it seems like it's aosp based, not cm13.

Not an option since I, and a bunch other users, bought the phone with plans on using two Sims. One for work, one for private.
Being able to disable/enable each sim on demand is crucial and a basic funktion for the phone.

Hello!
After I finish with RR 5.1.1 (next update), I wanna build other ROMs, 5.1.1 or 6.0.1. Lollipop is still great and rocks though.
I want to hear from you what ROM built from source you would like to see/use. I would also like to build my own ROM with the features I want, features which I use.
If there is a ROM which is not listed in the poll, let me know by a comment.
Please choose in the poll according to your choice.

Carbon ROM. Carbon Fibers are pretty cool.
I had this idea before i've seen that you said "only built from source"...
Nextbit Robin replica, based on AOSP/CM13, using the ported apps and theming the rest. (Like the transparent SystemUI, or that square around the clock on the lockscreen)

I have tried to build AOSP 5.1.1 and OmniROM 5.1.1, but i keep getting errors about intermediates (in the out folder). After using a small trick (dirty way) found on a blog, the error was gone, but then i was getting another similar error.
I was getting this kind of error: https://thealaskalinuxuser.wordpress.com/2016/06/10/error-no-rule-to-make-target-export_includes/ .
There is other way to fix this error (as mentioned on that blog), by including the prebuilt libs from cm/rr which are giving me error instead building the libs.
I may try the second way (with prebuilt libs) after i finish with RR.

Perhaps you can tell me some things about Kali Nethunter? Is it some kind of hacking? lol.
There are too many roms to build and it take ~4h for me to build for one model and there are 8 models lol. Nick had to wait ~8h for one model in past, with his previous PC. Thats crazy!

What I know is that you just have to port the kernel from nethunter source which allow you to run all the hacking tools that come with the nethunter rolling https://github.com/offensive-security/kali-nethunter/wiki here you find the documentation... And here https://build.nethunter.com/nightly/ you can see the kernel builds for other devices and the nethunter rolling that has to be flashed after the kernel...
Touchwiz Nougat.
I saw some videos about kali nethunter built with AOSP and cm. I hope we can also get kali nethunter with the help of other ROMs that are already available.
Personally I suggest Kali Nethunter, AOSP, and Paranoid Android For our J5 devices. Thanks a lot for ur RR ROM buddy.

We need adoptable storage with nethunter because the kali chroot takes some space, so the best will be cm13 or something like that based on marshmallow
