- If it's a bump in the version number e.g. 5.8.3 - 5.8.5, download the whole rom zip instead of downloading through OpenDelta.

OpenDelta:
Adding OPENDELTA_BUILDTYPE (SONI) in builds name so OpenDelta can fetch updates for op2/op3/op3t.
OpenDelta is fixed properly now. We will know for sure once I build my next update.
For whoever interested to know the issue.
App checks for the build_type (official or unofficial), it gets disabled if find unofficial build. I made changes in source code so app jumps over the condition
and still checks for updates. This was needed as I build official and unofficial builds now. It wasn't needed earlier.
I am sure there could be other ways to fix this if I knew Java better but for now this works.
Removed:
Shutdown animation, boot/shutdown sounds.
- For testing something, they may come back in future.

Since we now have a hosting site, thanks to @benkxda, I have been working hard on implementing OpenDelta, it's not really hard to implement but due to some modifications on system.prop from RR side which I wasn't aware about, I was having some issues. I am still having minor conflicts on what to do with built_type tag as that's needed for opendelta working and since one of my build is official but other twos are unofficial, I am planning to use a unique tag for all my builds so OpenDelta can easily fetch files based on that tag. Since this is the first proper build with OpenDelta, you need to flash the whole rom, increment builds will start hopefully from next build or soon. I will keep you informed.
For now you will have update disabled, coz the identifier tag is still "Unofficial" in my sources.
To check whether this is working or not, just change these values from Official to Unofficial in your build.prop in system directory. (this is a proof of concept at least for now.). This will be fixed in next update as I explained earlier.

Everything is same except gesture implementation is now the old way till we get any update on how our devices are going to get the treatment. I wanted the flash functionality on lock screen and that/s why an extra build.

Moved to test folder, works for me on dirty flash else play services fc on clean flash so even this is strange, this build is working fine on dirty flash, I am looking into the issue..

I would suggest to Clean flash this time due to too many system level changes.
Since I was having issues building with UberTC coz of binutils, I am building with Stock chain and that's why all uberTC related optimizations are reverted though I am hopeful to get them back soon.

Fake signature spoofing can be enabled/disabled now. Option is available in Miscellaneous settings. Default is off.
Fixed - Notification Slider extra options are sticking now.
Substratum OMS support is added.
- Remember if you get an error applying a theme or the theme doesn't give you desire results, report it to the dev not here.
- I have added this feature to the people asking for it but if you don't know how to use OMS, read about it and learn from it's google+ group. This thread is not about OMS.

What is OpenDelta and how to use it?
- OpenDelta is an app developed by @Chainfire for OmniRoms which is open sourced and can be used by anyone. It's for providing incremental updates to users so instead of downloading a file of about 500+mb in size, you only need to download a file that's only about 20-50mb in size. This size can vary from update to update yet it'll still be better than the full zip.
- Checking for updates can be automated or manually invoked by user.
- If you want more files to be flashed with the delta update, put them under sdcard/OpenDelta/FlashAfterUpdate
- You can enable Secure Mode in OpenDelta settings to make sure that the delta updates are signed with proper key and no intermediate injection was done, only downside is that the additional zips won't be flashed.
- OpenDelta is in Customization - Misc.
- Remember to keep the full zip of latest you have flashed, else when the delta update available it will ask you to download full zip of latest version instead of patching your existing zip with delta update.
- If you are getting update disabled, make sure you clean flashed 23/02/2017 build or do a clean flash of any build after that and you will be fine later.
How to use Backup in OpenDelta properly?
- This feature is added recently and only supports system/data/cache/recovery and boot partitions with data compression ON and md5checksum OFF.
- There is currently no option to select which storage partition you want to backup yet, I will implement in future in my free time.
- Remember if there isn't enough space left on your device for backup, whole script will halt and no further installation will happen so make sure there is enough space on your storage.
- You will be shown a warning if you forgot to check Backup option under settings.
How to use CleanFlash in OpenDelta properly?
- This feature is added recently to clean flash the updates.
- This can work with Backup option so it's better if you click both Backup and CleanFlash options as then it will take a backup first before a clean flash.
- You will be shown a warning if you forgot to check Backup option under settings when you do a clean flash using this option.
How to use 3minit Battery mode?
- Download "3MinitBatterySettingsfree v4.1.1.apk" from here.
- Install it, open it and apply any style.
How to remove Magisk and use my own root app?
- Download MagiskUninstaller and flash through TWRP and flash your own root app over it like SuperSU. Later you can uninstall or remove Magisk app.
What is that yellow middle finger and Pirate icon on my statusbar and notification area?
- Uninstall any app that helps you to pirate stuff e.g. LuckyPatcher and reboot, things will restore to default. I understand it's your phone and you are entitled to install anything you wish to, you are free to flash any other rom if you aren't happy with these modifications.

My apps don't have access to Clipboard, what's wrong?
- It's a security precaution and you can enable app's background clipboard access by going into Security and enable "Allow background clipboard access".
I am not able to access my USB devices, like my pen drive etc, they were working fine earlier. What's wrong?
- This is again a security precaution and you can give access them by going to Security - USB Accessories and choose appropriate option from there.
What's different about Protected Apps in this build, how should I use it and is there any specific app I need to avoid adding to the list of my protected apps?
- Normally when you try to open any app that you added to your protected app's list, you get a notification first telling you that it's a protected app. That notification is removed from this build and you get a pattern screen directly. You can access this setting by going through privacy options in settings. Do remember not to add Settings app into your protected app's list though else you won't be able to access any settings. Clean flash would be the only option.
Edit:
Flash this zip in case this happens, you will be able to remove Settings from protected list after you flash this..

No, I guess he's talking about PRO / OMS, means full Substratum support.. Legacy is on almost every rom possible, at least the newer ones

i love it because its getting all the cm updates for our device and not only pick cherry ones
That was easy, now I am stuck at oms, too many build errors except the time I thought I was to do this isn't exactly true. It'll take time. So for the time being I am moving my oms related stuff to other oms branches. Rr and cm sources are updating and with good features so I'll release a working build with latest changes without oms and then I will spend my whole time on oms only. What do u guys says?
I am pretty new to this so even cheery picking isn't so easy as they say but I moving on with slow pace and I'll need all your support.

Great ROM. Thank you for bringing it to tilapia too. It's very fast and it's stable. The only thing that did not work were some kernel governors (the one from Samsung and lulzactive). I had random reboots when I selected then.

I don't know if all of u r facing this but i find a lockscreen delay i.e the lockscreen shows up a second or two after pressing the power button and it is really irritating...can u please try to find a possible reason for this @TeamMex . I found this bug in your older builds too .Other than that this rom has always been my favourite..Thanks for the rom.

dont flash rom with ota updater and make a normally flash
In in love with this ROM. Especially the animations and the smoothness. Buttery smooth. Battery drain is a little higher than stock, I'm still testing so can't comment completely.
Few things that I miss in this rom
1) I use Bluetooth headset for music, when I connect the headset the volume is too low. I have to increase it. And when I pause and resume the volume goes back to low, I needed to increase it again.
2) Tablet mode, got used to it so much on my nexus 7.
3) 3 way reboot. Been a Samsung user for a long time, it scares me to always use the power button and volume button for rebooting into recovery or bootloader, got the power buttons and volume buttons replaced many times.
Requests (fellow users please don't bombard with things like do it yourself, it's just a request, of not possible, I'll happily continue with what is present)
1) option to disable safe volume
2) option to switch between tablet mode and normal.
3) 3 way reboot option.
Again, thanks dev for this amazing ROM, it changed my usage experience

Wow, thanks for the quick response.
How stupid of me, dint check in Dev options. Will do that now.
Not exactly the hybrid engine but If there can be an option to just change the ui we can edit the rest of the app settings using xposed modules.

If it runs better on your phone then it's worth it. The build posted by skiwong20 always gives me FCs on my phone. A user, miscom, suggested I try his CM build and it runs flawlessly on my phone.
I don't know the technical details behind why this is the case, but it is for me personally.

It is also a 6 day newer build. Those bugs could have been resolved in those 6 days since the others threads build.

I'm not complaining. I just wonder the differences so I can figure out which I'd rather use/try.
With cm the biggest problems are fixed very fast so next day build might fix a lot.
And someone asked, yeah I think CM forces and will force the encryption on their rom

Truth to be told. There will be no differences with stock builds or even the official nightlies when they start to rollout
If you want to stay decrypted, you can flash this. Just flash lean or franco kernel in the same session.

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device, the EVO 3D. Since then, many others have joined the project and it has grown exponentially.
We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours. Big or small, the focus was always on contributing to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do. After Jelly Bean, we decided to move to a new base, OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting base because it challenged us to see what we could do with a project that had different goals in mind. We learned a lot and again, gain contributors. With Lollipop, we moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. We grew even more and learned a whole lot more.
It has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward. Lastly, we DO NOT accept, nor ask, for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc. We will never ask for a dime. All we do ask, is that you have patience, search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

I'm getting a FC from the theme chooser, what gives?
This is due to restoring data/apps from Google. Go ahead and clear data and cache for theme chooser and theme provider then reboot you should be good moving forward.
I changed my LCD density and now the navbar looks weird, what gives?
This is currenly an issue that we are aware of and addressing. For now after you changed density reset navbar layout or stay on the stock density.

Flashed the new build by @s.sawrav as a secondary rom in multirom and I'm pretty impressed. It's a whole lot smoother than Cm13 and all the other cm based ROMs. Thanks @pirej and @s.sawrav for this amazing ROM.

Its not enabled, but it support's it.
There was one issue since the first build, and no one mentioned yet, but its present in the new builds too..
There is a FC when you go to settings/about/status/sim-status , other than this.. haven't noticed other issue(yet :good

And he was also just saying that it isn't there,also as for your question no it won't be supported,BTW @proudh0n now you can flash custom kernel for dt2w,there is no issue with audio now.
i have 8gb variant, i am using multi rom and du is saying that i have 16gb of internal storage
btw can you make your du builds exfat compatible ?

Lol, but still, this ROM is in testing stage, so it is not good for use as a daily driver. - It is stable for daily use now.

looks like u have builded rom with latest changes which are there on boulzor devs git. the current changes lack support from current kernel. we dont have the latest kernel sources to reflect the device tree changes. so either you can revert locally and build or wait until the lead device tree maintainer do something.
and one more thing i think u should give credits to vache in op.

At the moment I'm on exactly this build also. The one from @vache is (until the 30st build) perfectly stable. The latest build doesn't have the camera working and color glitches, because we need the latest kernel sources from Motorola. Exactly the same goes for the LineageOS builds.
To be honest I don't see the need for an extra (unstable!) RR build, while we have these perfectly stable builds.
As soon as the latest kernel sources are 'open' development of RR and LineageOS wil probably be continued by @vache (though I can't speak for him of course...)!

Yeah, I didn't actually know there was another build of RR posted by vache as it was not on XDA, so I thought I would build it.
But, now I see that he is building it from a long time so I may just abandon or delete this project.

Well, on the other hand it's a good thing to have it here on XDA. I don't know why he didn't post it here.
Since I knew the work of @vache from my previous device (Moto G4 Plus) I already followed him on his cloud drive: http://cloud.vache-android.com/Moto/potter/ROMs/
Anyway I think it's a good thing to have RR here! But you developers really should join forces! @vache is a great developer, but he doesn't communicate a lot here...

It's only a minor bug and personally I don't like one button gestures like swipe left to go back or swipe right to recents, I only use fp for home and lock phone so for me the built is stable and working thanx for that. Good work
