Hi all,
As said in the title I need a XA Ultra for investigations around the brick problem and try to find a solution to resurrect it.
I don't need it for free but it can be very generous if yes, you can help me by donate to buy a broken device or sell it to me for a reasonable price.
It's absolutely not for my personal use, my girlfriend have it and will never allow me to dev (rom and other) with her device as long as playing around the Ultra is not safe. I hope you understand my request.

ı had dead ultra but ı ve sent it to waranty and they changed motherboard for free ))

i unfortunately did something (have no clue what) wrong while applying hard spl on my htc niki100. no bootloader is available anymore and hard reset is not applyable neither. pc keeps asking for installing data interface driver when connected to it. i guess jtag is an option but since im not into soldering i'm searching somebody who can do that for me. who ever can unbrick my niki will receive 50€ as a reward/thank.

if you are willing to play, go to a local phone shop. If its fixable, they'll fix it for for about £60 (depending on the fault)
At the very minimum, they'll tell you what the fault is...
thank you, i'll try that. here in switzerland usually the estimation of cost for repairing is about 50 pounds, but it's worth a try.

You might also get a used Niki around 50€ at [email protected] Or check out a tool named Frankenkaiser (never tried it, but search the forums for it, also kaiser/vogue/polaris, it should be the tool you need).
hmm, i got my niki200 for 20 euro's so if you look good you can find one for not too much money
thanks guys, frankenkeiser unfortunately does not work neither, since there is no way to get in to any bootloader :-/ i'll bring my phone to the shop tomorrow, so i'll tell you what they will have told me. but thanks anyway for your great support!

Hi guys i have a question.My digitizer is broken so what is better reparing it or buying an other phone? The repair cost in Poland is 400 zł,or i can buy the lcd+digitizer for 200 zł (pln) and try to repair it myself.This is for me very important,this phone is great but the 400 zł for repair is too much for me.For 400 zł i can buy a anotcher maybe better phone,one part of phone is more expensive than the whole phone.The phone about i'm writting is xperia mini pro sk17i.Thank for help and sorry for long post.

Just in short: It's very hard, digitizer+touch are one unit and there's not a single good tutorial for exchanging the unit (the only one I know is on iFixit)... it's very sad
You doesn't understand me correctly i'm asking what is better buying a new phone or reparing it.I've searched for anotcher threads before i maked this.I just found a thread about chow to chance broken screen.I know how to chance it on you tube is a toutrial chow to do this.
So, I am one of those unfortunate enough to have stupidly made a brick out of my X10 Mini Pro by Flashing that tarnished BLRelock file, if only I had read up about it first... Heavily regret it cause it is my favourite phone, I had it before but sold it cause I needed some money, regret that too lol, so I just re-bought it from my friend and bricked it same day,
Anyway, my question is, where can I get this phone jtagged quick, and cheap in England? All the fix it services I've found are USA based and postage is crazy!
I know if a few local repair shops I could ask but thought Id ask here first for recommendations,

First link, I just judge by what color ring my WOT icon is, and it's yellow. So no, not trusted.
Second link, look at how many dislikes compared to likes. So...nope! xD
If anything, someone who's notable would come out around these parts (on XDA) to make announcements that our phones is getting root with his/her proven work, that's where you should be getting from.
Edit: For the first link, you could even try navigating around the website. All of the links ends up back at that one page. Don't fall for stuff like this, trust in the true Lollipop update when it comes. lol

I don't know if it's a scam (will install malicious sw if you try it) or just someone who didn't know what they're talking about (regurgitated content that doesn't apply to us). First, z3v is not on the supported devices for the root process. Neither is the regular z3. As far as Lollipop, the instructions require an unlocked bootloader, which we don't have.
Wonder if one of those is the Ransomware that is going around? Install the malicious app and your phone is locked down until you pay a "ransom" to get it unlocked.

Technology got too far to be able to do this, yet I somehow believe it.
Thanks everyone I knew it was too good to be true. XDA guys have the greatest minds! . I hope there will be a root for our phone before lollipop comes out

Well with you already being international I would recommend the Z3 with it being a global phone. I'm not certain which one would take advantage of your towers the easiest.
And with the international version, you get root and a two day battery life. Plus higher ISO sensitivity with your only drawbacks in pink circles appearing on your pictures and maybe faulty wrist straps that ruin waterproof.

I'd like to say I've been in and out of XDA on off for years and you guys really know your stuff. although I don't understand a lot of what you guys are saying and this is the whole point of this post I would like to learn. I honestly believe I'm in the right place and I'd like you and especially XDA for being here! It's about time somebody did something in the Android market to give us back control of our phones!
I have the worst luck with cell phones if it's not stolen I'm sure to break the screen. I got really good with computers and would like to learn a lot about cell phones. Currently I own a cheap one and it would probably be a good one to start with for that reason. (this is the third one by the way within 3 months.)
I broke the digitizer screen on this one and would like to replace it but I can't find one anywhere online if anyone knows where I might be able to find one please let me know! The phone model is Alcatel TCL LX or A502DL are there any other Alcatel phones that have the same digitizer screen? (5.43 480X960)
Is there a clean OS for this phone? I believe you guys call it a ROM? (8.1 Oreo)
