How flashing to CyanogenMod 14.1 on a Kenzo with MIUI Global X | Stable - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

But on the CyanogenMod Wiki they say

I have try first the official way to do it, but apparently the https://account.xiaomi.com where we create Mi account seem not working anymore (I have try with 3 different email adresse (GMX, gmail, hotmail...) and never receive the confirmation email?
So on my Kenzo with MIUI Global 8.0 | Stable room is there any way to easly unblock the BL and installating CM 14.1 ?
Thx all.

I would suggest you to try again and go for official unlock coz its safer. But if you wanna try it other way that is unofficial unlock and do check out the link.
http://en.miui.com/thread-253680-1-1.html Hope it will help you. If you need any help do write me.

1. Flash a global DEV ROM after 6.11.24.
2. Unlock bootloader officially.
3. Flash TWRP
4. Flash ROM+GApps
5. ???
6. Profit.
Hope this helps.

+1 :good: But make sure you flash Fastboot Rom becuase sometime recovery rom zip is not verified by Updater app.

Hi Guys,
thx for yours reply, but apparently the website https://account.xiaomi.com/pass/register where create a Xiaomi account don't work.. I try with 2 different email adresse and never receive the confirmation email (of course I check the spam email...)
any other ways to migrate to CM ?

I have found on XDA a topic about this way but she as been closed by @1emrys1

Indian Bootloader

Has anyone managed to unlock their bootloader on Global stable rom that your phone shipped with?
I'm specifically asking Indians. And of course I'm asking about Snapdragon variant which ships here.
If it didnt unlock on Global stable, what did you do next?
Also please don't post about the unofficial hack method. I'm well aware about that. I want to know about official method.
I also have the same query, please anyone give a proper answer.

yes, Tutorial: http://en.miui.com/thread-235865-1-1.html
if you're not a developer or custom roms lover, you don't need unlocking, flashing and unlocking are risky and so many people got bricked, think twice before any action

Well
I got that 50%error too
I was at 7.1.8.0 got ota to 7.2.3.0
Then i logged out and factory reset it(optional)
Signed it and synced again and let it be for 3-4 days
Tried it and it went through
Maybe it is due to slow syncing with chinese server

I managed to unlock bootloader on Global 7.2.3.0 ROM.
I faced the 'stuck at 50%' problem too. It didn't work for me on Dev nor Global ROM. The Mi unlock tool said it couldn't verify accounts.
But after waiting for about a week I tried again and it worked!
Apparently Xiaomi's unlock process has some bugs and the accounts fail to verify properly. You have to give it time to sync.
Also in developer settings make sure to enable OEM unlocking. The Dev ROM has this enabled by default so maybe that's why more people had success with it (and maybe why people were reporting that unlocking on Global doesn't work).

I have already unlocked by unofficial method , by your official method boot.img , some good guy will be able to make modified boot.img of your officially unlocked one in which we don't need to delete bootloader file to switch between MIUI ROMS to prevent bootloop and bootloader relock problem again.
So request to you upload it.

But I can't flash global developer rom via updater app.
By the way, I see this from another forum, "You have to wait for a week after you received the message about you have the permission to unlock your device."
And also, your Miaccount's device must be registered as Redmi Note 3 Pro, if not ,you have to change that to Redmi Note 3.
i tried on Global Developer Rom but It stuck at 50 % ..... HELP..!!
Hi, there. If you want to flash global developer rom, you must download the zip.(the rom you want to flash/update via updater app) via system's browser, also, flash to global developer rom will wipe your data.
I tried it myself and it really works!
[Edit]
Download the latest rom , or this method can’t fix your problem.[emoji4]

If u want to unlock by officia method then u ll have to wait till xiaomi servers are updated with ur info. U may have have to wait for 7-14 days after receiving unlock permissions. The time may vary. I myself got permission to unlock on 11th june and successful unlocked on 30th. U can try to contact xiaomi on miui forum... Or else unofficial method is available on xda by rajdip.

I had the same problem but after I flashed global developer ROM, it was done in seconds.
Make sure that oem unlocking and debugging is ON under developer options. Check if your phone is registered in your MI account. I think your sim card has to be inserted too.
Good luck

I don't know if installing xiaomi unified driver will do any difference but when I plug phone while in fastboot, windows shows xiaomi android interface. I installed this driver as unsigned and windows has to be in insecure mode. But again before you boot phone in fastboot, open mi account on your phone and check if phone is verified, must not be unknown.
I have Mi Max to and I unlocked it without any special driver or ROM and on 1st try but with Redmi note 3 SD took me several days.

This guide explains how to flash stock MIUI roms. You have a few options for root. You could flash a global or China beta/dev ROM which have an in built root which can be enabled. You could unlock your bootloader and install TWRP then install superSU. Or you could just try an app like KingRoot if you trust it enough.

I've done it with the China dev/beta rom and that is what's recommended. It may be possible on the new global dev but I'm not sure and so can only recommend the China dev/beta. Once unlocked you'll stay unlocked so you can flash whatever you want straight away after. Just make sure to backup/sync any data first as everything will get wiped when using the SP flash tool.

It was a simple and normal question. I don't bully you or anyone else here. It's better if i ask you before you brick your phone or something. But anyway, it's your phone and your choice.
Global dev rom works, I unlocked mine early this week. You will need to fill in the form for permission from Xiaomi hxxp://en.miui.com/unlock and wait for an activation code for your Mi account before you start. You'll also need that account on your phone. It absolutely will not work on Global Stable, trust me, I tried!
The Global Dev rom doesn't have root enabled, so you'll also have to install TWRP (from cofface) there is a good guide in this forum somewhere, then flash SuperSu from there. (the official version works just fine)

Thanks for confirming, I unlocked using the china dev rom and enabled the built-in root. I could then use flashfire to install cofface's TWRP recovery and did a wipe in TWRP to start afresh without root.

No reason why it should not work on 8.1.3.0. Just look for the bootloader check in developer settings. If it's there and you can link your account you should be good to go. Always worth a try...
Latest Supersu is always available on Chainfire's website download.chainfire.eu. Flash via TWRP. It's not specific to A ROM or device.

Question How to install the EU rom?

Hey guys,
I'll be receiving my Mi 11x Pro today. Before going ahead with the setup, I'd love to simply install the EU rom and begin my new phone usage from there.
I'm a long-time MIUI user and my MI account has bootloader unlock privileges. Can someone guide me on how to install the EU rom? Just a simple step by step would be fine, as I'm able to maneuver through installing TWRP and rooting, etc., on my Poco F1.
If you have a link to the guide, then that would be highly appreciated.
Thanx a lot in advance for the help
Edit: I'm mostly going for EU rom because of MI dialer and hopefully the default call recorder that comes with it. Apart from that, I don't know if there are any issues installing the EU rom on an Indian Mi 11x Pro.
Request BL unlock (takes 7 days), Unlock BL, get the latest EU stable fastboot rom, put phone into fastboot mode, then just open the eu rom folder and choose flash_all_new or flash_all_erease_setup as new or whatever its called
Does eu rom have more bugs, how is camera performance compared to global
