I have Samsung Smart tv(Malaysian Made) and is running on Andriod system.
I am unable to find software for it online and the software available on Samsung website is not supported by it. Could anyone of you share a link for andriod software for Smart tv please?
P.s. I have tried to update via internet but there it says current version, but i am facing some issues with Smart tv and after refreshing or reinstalling the software would solve it.

Tv Mode is Samsung Smart TV, 42', J9000, Smart & 3D, (Made in Malaysia, running on Andriod software) i ahve been told by one store owner that the software is from chineese firms and cracked veriosn.

Hello, I bought new life smart TV from Aldi Germany, its Medion… I know well they are just name not Tech, here are the points
When i sync it with Nero it show on devices VestelTV.
Vestel as other used Android TV , but don’t know the ver. As I think it is now 4.1 JB
When I use adb it faild to connect for it as it need USB debug where I think it is disabled, bu no access for that of course via the tv menu
It used Opra SDK HTML5 as I searched on the web to connect server download movies and news etc.. but all are so agley so I like to have my own app on it or enable the mouse at least…
Well it is Andriod, so how to know which version… and how to access to root it to take out any hidden function, as medion did before they sold smart box, android 4.0 and they update it to 4.1 then many unction disappear… now they bring this box inside this TV to have same function but limited.
The TV had 2 USB, 4 HDMA and more AV input and RGB too as well Digi sound output and Triband Tuner,
Any idea to use any software or root it or to have access to intern of it will be appreciated as I am ready to do it doesn’t matter with warrantee…
hi everyone god i need help lol ive got the above tv box love it to bits but i seen to have messed it up.
ive deleted google play and i think other apps from the root was trying to be clever and went wrong.
i reset the unit and google play was not on it now i sort of know a little as rooted and romed other phones ect.
but i realy unsure what to do, i realy need to find the orignal rom and instructions on how to do it can anyone help please..

So, I had bought Onida 43" Smart TV back in 2016 as it was one of those first Android TVs in India. However looking at actual Android TV OS , you can make out that they literally ported phone OS (4.4.4) onto this TV and make it "Android TV". The ROM is also one of the developer ROMs that was ported without any end testing. Now with regular app updates TV has slowed down and apps crash often. TV in itself has never received any update from manufacturer and customer care has no idea what "update" for the TV is.
So can a clean wipe be performed and current ROM be replaced with pure Android TV ROM instead?

Finally found a lag free ROM from a LCD/LED repair center. The lag and freeze issues have resolved after the update. TV is still on 4.4.4 but now a new list of problems have started, power button on TV has become inactive and TV now responds to Channel Down as Power On/Off. Remote control Power On/Off button no longer responds. Rest all works perfectly fine. Just my luck

I'd like to upgrade it 5.0 but I couldn;t find any info on it.
does anyone have a custom recovery for this tv?
or a 5.0 ROM?

I am new to XDA. I rant into a problem with my newly purchased Android TV and wanted to mention the problem here with a hope to have some help. Kindly note that my TV is a Singer 49" 4k Android 8.0 TV. It is the re-branded version of Skyworth 49U5A model.
If I install Netflix I get an error code ui-800-3. I tried all possible fix related to this error code that I found in Google. But did not help.
The SoC is MediaTEK MT5891. I found a app named com.mediatek.partner.netflix (Netflix Launch Service app). Not understanding the purpose of this app. Can anybody explain me what is the purpose of this app?
Also is there anyway to run Netflix Android TV version in my TV based on the information I provided?

Hi guys, I have tested 2 phones - one HTC and another Xiaomi running Android One up-to-date OS. Both devices are not able to find Samsung Q60 Smart TV when trying to screen cast. All the devices (phones and TV) are connected to the same WiFi network and are fully updated to the latest versions of software.
The TV is working perfectly though with Huawei running with Android 10. Also the HTC and Xiaomi are able to screen cast on Sony Smart TV. So it looks like Android One is not compatible with Samsung Q60 series smart TV, is that right ? And is there anything I can do to resolve this issue, except buying another phone/TV ?
As far as I understood from forums.androidcentral.com - Samsung Smart TVs require the device to use AllShareCast, WiDi, or Miracast to do Screen Mirroring. Android One phones run "stock" Android, which I don't think supports any of those. Is there a way to modify some system settings to change the way it is screen casting??
