Did anyone already receive the Nougat update? - Xperia Z5 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Sony made it official that they started distributing the Nougat update for the Z5 Compact. Did anyone receive it yet?
Cheers,
Stefan

Source?
Because no new ROM was built by Sony. Latest is still 6.0 https://xpericheck.com/device/E5823

you made hype for nothing XperiaFirm Version showing Device lastest version: Xperia Z5 Compact (E5823) : 32.2.A.5.11
also didn't saw "open sources "on sony site. which probably mean it will take a while
also nothing on tweeter \sony forum\fb
maybe you've got confused with X compact

sony started the distribution of nougat for the X compact, not the z5

XC has been recevied nougat , two weeks age .

Nope
Sony's original timetable said that z5 + variations will receive nougat during the end of 2016 but as always Sony neglected the older models in favor of their new flagship.
We will receive nougat but no earlier that February-March...

To be fair, actual release dates for the X series missed their original target dates, so it's not unreasonable that the release dates for all other models (our Z5 compacts) will also be delayed.
Speculating from the fact that we just received an firmware update for MM in December (that's not even finished deploying for all regions around the world), your guess that our Nougat update will come around Feb/March sounds extremely likely, although I wouldn't mind seeing it pop up in Jan. It'd be great to enjoy Nougat over CNY.

[Solved] My LG G5 updated today. To Android 6.0.1?

Today, as many of you probably know, the LG G5 has been getting updates for Android Nougat. This morning at about 9 am, I had a fancy notification that informed me that my Android software update was available for download and install. I did such, and eagerly awaited for awesome drop down screens and split view, multi-app functionality, when instead I was greeted with.... the same interface I always had?
Now of course I instantly went and checked the settings and sure enough, my current firmware is Android 6.0.1 as suspected. Software version V10k-AME-XX. To be clear, I was already running 6.0.1 beforehand. I did not take note of the name of the update as I was not expecting an issue. I have the LG G5 H860 International Unlocked version. My phone tells me that I am running the "latest software version for current OS", and that there are no software updates available for my phone. It also indicates that my latest software update was December 2, 2016. Anybody know what's going on? Thanks.

You, like me have received September Security update in December.
But I know Nougat is coming real soon for H860. I have a confirmation.. Don't ask me when, and how I came to know. I won't tell.

For certain regions only at the moment, before others chime in.
Outside of forums or blogs is the a better way to check for nougat availability on this phone? Purchased this phone as a gift for Christmas and I'm hoping for an update before it's gifted.

This website shows the most recent updates it's found for Sony devices. Here's the link to the Xperia X Compact, it already shows that Nougat's been released for a couple regions but nothing for the US or UK so far.

Got the notification about the update today. Downloaded the update and installed it, now my phone is in a bootloop. Didn't root or unlocked the bootloader... this is not cool.
How can I access the recovery to hard reset everything? Guess it's the only way now
Power + Vol Up is not working like described here: http://android-recovery.info/2318/recovery/Sony/Xperia+X+Compact

Thanks for this. I purchased a UK model so it's what I'm waiting for. Appreciate the help.
if you follow the link by lenash, xperifirm will always tell you in real time when and how far across country's the update has come.
why wait for others to discover it when you can yourself.

Previously, the site said the Oreo update for these devices is in testing phase, and will arrive in mid-July (specifically, July 13). There's currently no information on why the roll out has been delayed, but we hope the company sticks to the schedule this time around.
Note that the schedule for Galaxy A series devices is limited to Turkey as users in regions around the world have already received the Oreo update

s9+ night mode camera

Is there any information if or when we will get the night mode addition to the camera on the snapdragon version of this phone? Allot of things I read said it was with the June update but I have nothing.
I am eager to see if the July update for Rogers to be released on the 29th has the camera enhancements.

It was in the June update for the Exynos versions. We have yet to see/hear anything about when it might be coming to Snapdragons. We usually lag behind the exynos versions on feature additions so it could still be a while.
I heard we are supposed to get it in they July update but that hasent come to any us carriers yet as far as I know

There is a CSF3 firmware up on Sammobile for our devices I think it is the July security patches but not positive. Someone commented on another thread they flashed it but didn't get night mode.
**EDIT** Sam moblie says it is June security patches. Here's to hoping we get it with the July update.
It would be nice to have this feature, but at the same time I have read articles that say it can be problematic. I am not sure if this would cause (or be the cause of) a delay in the night mode release...
https://www.sammobile.com/news/galaxy-s9-galaxy-note-9-camera-night-mode-frustrating-bug
Was thinking maybe it will be in July update. Usually with monthly updates at least one carrier would have pushed out the update by now so maybe this is a big one forthcoming.

Question Who's gotten Android 11?

Hi all!
First I need to say it's very quiet here. I guess I bought not the most popular phone
I wanted a reliable budget phone and couldn't decide between Moto G30 and Nokia 5.4. Eventually, Android One and alleged good support from Nokia helped me choose. So I received it today, and first thing I wanted to do is to update it to Android 11, but there's no update available. Wasn't it released in September? The security patch is still from June 2021. That's a bit disappointing... I even tried asking customer service via their chat, but they only sent me some ready copy-paste statements.
When can I expect any updates? How many of yous have already gotten Android 11?

I bougth mine two weeks ago and got the update in the first boot, I'm in latinamerica.
I emailed the customer service today, they asked me for IMEI and all that. They said I just need to wait for my update. Maybe different version for Europe, or UK?
I'll try VPN with some Latin American countries and see if I get it too
Edit: the only server is in Brazil, but it didn't work.
A.11 out of the box November 10 India
Android 11 has arrived in the UK. Had the update today. Build number 00WW_2_190, with October security patch and Google Play system
