Flashing Galaxy S5 AT&T ROM on T-mobile device - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 5

Hello everyone,
I have tried to look for an answer to my question with no luck. I have an unlocked t-mobile galaxy S5 unrooted with stock ROM and I am with At&t. I need to use wifi calling and therefore I was wondering if I can root then flash a stock AT&T ROM on my device, and what tools I should use. I mean are ROMs cross compatible. I would really appreciate your advice on this.
Thanks

It's a shame no one has an answer for this.
I'm looking for information on this, as well.
I have a SM-G900T (bootloader unlocked). I'm wondering if I can get it to be "stock" (without the yellow Knox warning on boot) and not have the T-Mobile startup animation or apps.

[Q] At&t S4 simunlock help

Hi all
I am newbie to the android world, i was gifted an at&t. S4 i337 model for new year. It was purchased as an unlocked device so it can work in india, but it wasnt, when i load my indian sim ,s4 always prompts with simunlock code.
I read lot of the xda thread to overcome this , intially s4 was in 4.2.2 MF3 build, i was able to root the device but i wasnt able to unlock for international band. So i updated to 4.3 using the thread "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2573080" since most of the reviews had positive feedback for unlocking. My software version got updated to 4.3 mk2 build But to my notice after this s4 loads with custom unlocked padlock symbol and rooting dosent work, it always fails when i run the supersu app in disabling knox step.
I followed every step as it said in the thread ,but failed every single time, the thread says it will work only with stock rom, since it boots with custom is this the reason for failure. How can i recover from this. Ur help will be appreciated, i have my s4 unused for past 1 month because of this.
Thanks

[Q] Unlocked AT&T S5 on T-Mobile

I recently unlocked and rooted my AT&T Galaxy S5 to use on T-Mobile network. However I still have AT&T firmware on the phone, and I'd really like to flash cyanogenmod, or at at the very least stock T-Mobile. Is there any way to do this? Thanks in advance!

Don't know if there is a Cyogenmod available for your model (SM-G900A) but there is an AllianceRom which is built off the T-mobile SM-G900T firmware which will work on the AT&T S5. However, since that version of the S5 has a locked bootloader you will need to use Safestrap Recovery instead of TWRP. You might want to look among the threads in the AT&T S5 area of this forum for more information and maybe ask your question there. I brought my unlocked AT&T S5 over to T-mobile and used it for a few months before getting a T-mobile S5. AT&T stock s5 firmware worked fine. I also did try out AllianceRom on that phone briefly but stick with stock. I don't think rom slots ever got fixed on Safestrap so only the stock rom slot could be used for flashing which is one of the reasons I chose to stick with stock on that phone.

[Q] Confused about Virgin Mobile UK Samsung Galaxy S3 models

1st post here so hope this is the right place to ask this and please be gentle
I have a Virgin Mobile UK Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300, running stock 4.3, I9300XXUGMK6
I want to install a custom OS on my S3. The phone is almost out of contract, 3 years old and is running really slowly on the stock rom with awful battery life (I have tried a new battery). I previously rooted and installed custom roms (cyanogenmod, slimkat) on an old i9000 and was blown away by the massive improvement in speed and battery life. If I get the same benefits with the i9300 then I will keep this phone and go sim-only rather than getting a new phone. The i9000 was unlocked...I guess I need to check the i9300 is too?
As far as I can tell I need to root using Odin 1.07 and Philz Touch recovery. However, I am confused about what version of S3 Virgin UK provide- I have found guides on how to root and install custom roms on Virgin S3's but they refer to models such as Sprint or SPH-L710- I'm not sure what I have, how to check or how this differs US to UK. I have searched on here and more widely and cannot find an answer to this.
Recommendations on what custom OS to install also welcomed
If it says i9300 under the battery then it it's the standard international model, you can flash anything from this forum. Carrier firmware usually add bloat and modem, you won't miss anything from it.
Unlock is by paid for code, don't try to do it free as that usually ends up with a brick, unless virgin supply unlocked handsets.
Follow the guide in general forum, sticky thread on how to flash custom recovery then custom rom. Root isn't needed if you are going to custom rom, they all come rooted.

AT&T switch to Bell

Hello
I have an AT&T i337 with the stock rom android 4.4.2 ALL_ATT_I337UCUFNB1_I337ATTFNB1_505595_REV06_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar
I am not sure if this is a US or Canadian phone but the phone is unlocked and I can root. My question is, can I flash a Canadian Bell rom onto this phone. I have tried to do this and odin says it is a good rom but it won't flash to my phone.
Thank you

Galaxy S2 branded firmware

Hi, i'm new to this forum and I have a question regarding my old Galaxy S2. The phone is running on Android 2.3.4 (Carrier branded - Swisscom, the logo appears while turning the phone on), SIM unlocked. I was wondering could I install LineageOS or any newer custom rom immediately, or do I need to install different firmware before that? By the way, I'm new when it comes to rooting/custom roms etc, so I'm scared that i might brick it.
Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to XDA.
Please have a look at this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/help/guide-tutorial-samsung-galaxy-s2-i9100-t3538601
I used this guide a couple of years ago to move from 2.3.6 to 7.1.2. You now have more choice for the Android version, you can update to 7, 8 or 9 if you like. The guide will get you to the point of ROM installation, from there you can use the install instructions for the one you choose.
Good luck, happy flashing and let us know how you go.
