LineageOS is the successor to the popular CyanogenMod ROM. With an emphasis on openness, community development, and improvement of the stock Android experience, CyanogenMod supported dozens of devices officially with nightly updates, and unofficially, by the efforts of developers in the community, dozens more devices. LineageOS intends to pick up where CyanogenMod left off, but with a redoubled focus on being a grassroots community-focused development effort.

If you believe in the developers of LineageOS, nightlies or weeklies will start soon.

The lineage builds over there are unofficial at this time. They both work. There's official builds of other roms available right now. I've tried most of them, and they're all comparable as far as performance goes. The biggest difference I've noticed is substratum compatability. Some are supported, some aren't.

Ah, well I was aware about the other lineage rooms that have been released but I didn't quite understand how it is determined that one can be named an Official version since this is mostly open source now.

I've installed a version of LineageOS and absolutely loving it. Was on Marshmallow with a heavily modified system, but enjoying the performance on this ROM. Only issue I had to start was the AOSP webview kept crashing. Then installed android webview from the play store and switched from that to Google Webview and been working perfectly. Buttery smooth. Just wish I had a custom kernel or xposed to tweak a bit, like disable wavelocks.

Great. After official nougat was delayed minimum one more month i unlocked my bootloader on my G4 (xt1622), flashed LineageOS and rooted it with SuperSU. Worked flawlessly. I was wondering seeing my hidden LED working on charging and missed notifications (mostly). Thumbs up and thanks!

Rom Problems. (Feedback)
Device: Moto E 2nd Gen (2015) 4G LTE
Model: XT1524
I was happy to see a new rom for the LTE version. I cleaned everything and then installed it with the gapps. But i am also stuck on a boot-loop.
Problem:
First boot it shows that the apps are updating then it reboots. Now its stuck on a bootloop. Hopefully you can fix this issues.
-Thank You

"Links Removed"?
Do you plan to post a new build? What happened to the old build, where you told the gentleman: "I have 30 downloads and this is the first I'm hearing about a boot-loop/problem." (I'm paraphrasing of course)
AICP is one of my favorite customs, so naturally, I got extremely excited and hopeful when I saw this thread. ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THAT MOST OF THE MOTO E 2015 CUSTOMS ARE PLAGUED WITH BUGS AND OTHER ISSUES (LTE not working consistently, and always needing some bizarre, convoluted work around to get any LTE functionality).
Anyway . . the point of my reply is to simply ask you to please provide an alternative link/download source, or edit the OP to include some information regarding why the download link has been removed.
OR . . If you no longer plan to support this build, please close the thread.
Thanks for your hard work, and I am looking forward to giving this build a shot!!

It's bootlooping on my Surnia XT1526 Boost Mobile model, so it's not the cause of SuperSU installing cause I didn't allow it to install, something else in the rom is causing the bootloop brother
When will a new release be available for testing?

Dont have the option and i Dont have the access. In other Roms i can enable it in developer options. For example: I installed tb and there was no Pop up who asked me for rights.
ROM Kernel: Linux 3.4.x! Is this correct?
Complete clean install, all works fine, SuperSU works, no issues at all, nearly perfect! Thank you for this! (if you can't access SuperSU, this is the workaround: just install the SuperSU apk manually or from the Play Store, and then it should be there.)
Only request for now: is it possible to include KCAL to the kernel?

I'm running this on the H811 variant and have not experienced the data connectivity issues found on CM13. Mobile data connects at startup without having to toggle airplane mode.
I just installed it and I'm missing a menu with mods =)
Is there some way to remove the extra button on navbar? I prefer the stock navbar buttons!
Thanks

I've tried latest CM13 nightly and Dirty Unicorn, both are plagued with the not being able to record after upgrading to 20o on H811 does this ROM have the same issue. If it doesnt I would be glad to flash, as I rather AOSP ROM and I'm stuck with stock cause of the issue.

Gonna flash this as a secondary in MultiROM. Will update this post with any issues I've found for the users, and will report on your site as well. Great to see another new ROM
Edit: Seems like a mix of CM and DU with a couple custom apps. This isn't a skinned ROM like the post seems to imply.
Nevertheless, I hope you guys can get some traction and make good progress here!
Also, I didn't test but since this is CM/DU based, you should be able to flash Gapps without issues. I'd suggest OpenGapps Pico just in case, though.

Sorry to hear that but could you describe the situation? I'm clearly don't understand it, what encryption ?
If you can point out the encryption software part, I will delete the whole project, but if you are another hater, please delete this comment, it makes nonsense.
I noticed a few things. I couldn't nstall the ROM as an additional using Multirom. Also, no music player as a opposed to the information on the website.
It's quite a good work and you deserve encouragement.

One is weekly, the other appears to be daily.
Maybe some cherry picks, too.

Wait huh? I don't get it but sorry if I offended you
Well, back to the ROM ...
Tried this with mini gapps and it's running great, very smooth & fast. Only slight minus I've noticed is camera focus is a bit dodgy (works some of the time but not always) so may still need some fine-tuning. I really like stock ROMs with Xposed and this is almost as good with advanced boot menu and similar custom settings. Am also rooted with Magisk 12.0 which seems to work fine. Using fingerprint gestures with hidden nav buttons seems identical to Moto stock. Has May 5th security patch. Color balance is as good at default (checked it with Display Tester app) as stock was only after adjusting w/KCAL on a custom kernel, so maybe it's been built in. Nice work, OP!
Just flashed and got everything up and running nice and easy. Had a weird issue on first boot, camera would take one picture and freeze. A reboot fixed it. Great work thanks for the ROM
Does the camera have an updated lineage?

On first boot I kept hitting the button but it wouldn't take even one photo, so I also rebooted then it worked. Is auto-focus working consistently for you? If I focused around inside it seemed fairly responsive, but when moved to the sunny window it wouldn't quickly adjust to see the outside, but eventually did by tapping the screen. Doing the same maneuver with stock camera it handled the transition easily/quickly. Need to try it out more to make a fair assessment.
@Danielikto - in settings/apps it says 'Camera' version 2.0.002 org.cyanogenmod.snap' if that helps.

Welcome to Team OpenKirin AOSP Project. Our goal is to provide
a overall stable AOSP experience across all Huawei/Honor phones
utilizing a Kirin SoC and EMUI 8.0 - either updated or shipped.
So far most of the bugs have been fixed and the ROMs are fully usable
as daily driver - and fully Kirin optimized.
This is the device support section for: Honor 7X.
Any bugs found on this device(s) can be reported here, please include proper logs if you encounter any issues.
We support 3 ROMs in total as of now - LineageOS (Unofficial), ResurrectionRemix OS (Official from Beta 2+), OmniRom
You can find all needed guides/roms on our official website:
mod edit: link replaced with archive.org one
https://openkirin.net
Requirements: basically full stock EMUI 8.0, with stock recovery/ramdisk

I installed lineage os beta4 in my honor 7x (BND-AL10) like 1week ago using the same steps you guys mentioned in the openkirin site,I noticed 2major bugs-
1)the screen won't turn on when unlocked like for 10sec,and sometimes I need to reboot my device to unlock my phone that is irritating.
2)serious battery drain, false battery percentage, taking too much time to charge.
I have none of those issues on my BND -L24. Only issue I have found is Bluetooth skipping when streaming over WiFi.
Thanks for the development OpenKirin team! Any hope of portrait mode coming?
Android changed so much in the last oreo update ... you basically now need a stock recovery to have a custom rom ... wow
My question is : Does the rom flash a custom recovery with it ? say for installing Gapps or any flashable zip
EDIT : after some research i discovered that Gapps are included ... at least the play store is which is nice but i still have a question : can i flash this rom using fastboot method BUT having twrp instead of stock recovery ? just to be safe incase someting goes wrong during flash
I request for volte... Please

I don't get why people always ask for VoLTE. If you need that feature enough to ask for it repeatedly, stick with the stock ROM. Since the developers didn't add it, there's obviously a reason they didn't do it, and bugging them for it won't change anything except annoying them more.

I am using stock rom. I crazily dislike the stock rom and wanting to change it, so i am looking for custom roms, and found out that none of the custom roms support volte. I didnt know whether it has been requested repeatedly or developler added it or not as i just started collecting information about root and custom rom stuff.
But your rude behaviour made me stop unlocking my bootloader, as it seems that i womt get any support from xda in future. Thanks for saving my warranty.
Does these AOSP based ROMs support VOLTE Video calling from default dialer?
Can someone tell me why I would want to use the OpenKirin version of RR instead of the [GSI][8.1.0][OFFICIAL] Resurrection Remix O v.6.1.0 [08/18][ARM/ARM64] version posted in the XDA Treble forums? What are the benefits?

Simply because team openkirin builds have hisilicon Kirin chipset based patches which are not present in regular GSI .... & Also, In RR official website, you'll find the Kirin based GSI... Both are maintained by openkirin team. Same build ...
Can I get steps for reverting back to stock if anything goes wrong

For those who want to try an OpenKirin Pie build, there is one available here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/pr...9-0-0-android-p-pixel-features-kirin-t3833879
Its been so long this device is available and AOSP et.al. is still "beta" on this one...
will 8X better supported than 7X?

What are you talking about? All the GSIs are supported on this device.
Time for the next build?
Any updates to OpenKirin builds? rocking AOSP build but prefer to land a dedicated honor build for 7x when it becomes stable.
How would subsequent updates work? Do they get pushed via OTA or would we have to check back and flash manually? Completely unfamiliar with Treble ROMs and how they work
ould anyone tell me the storage used for the RR build when fully flashed? Looking to ditch stock rom. thanks in advance

Just a quick update, that GSI is out of date and the one who made it is no longer an OpinKirin member. You will probably be better off trying out another Pie GSI in the Treble forums if that's what you're looking for.
