Sony Xperia Z5C double tap to sleep problem solved - Xperia Z5 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I couldn't seem to find a thread that solved this issue that I had and so I started a new one in an effort to try and explain things as simply as possible because that's how I'd like things to be explained to me. If you have the MM update 6.0.1 then you will be able to put your phone to sleep as well as wake it up by simply double tapping. Here's how :
Double tap to sleep: Go to Settings > Security > Device Administrators and select Xperia Home. If the slider is green then it has been selected. Next, go to your home screen, hold down your finger on the home screen and the following options should appear at the bottom of the screen - Widgets, Wallpapers, Themes, Settings. Go to Settings and under the heading "Advanced" select the option "Double-tap to sleep".
Double tap to wake up: Go to Settings > Display and select the option "tap to wake up"
Hope this helps.

WidgetLocker & SII

I installed WidgetLocker (which I used on my old hacked HTC HD2). I've found one issue that disturbs me. If I turn on the SII with the Home button and press the same button a second time, the phone unlocks. I don't want the phone to unlock without a very deliberate action on my part. Does anyone know how to disable the Home button unlock "feature"?
Thanks.

Widgetlocker settings > Buttons & inputs > Allow menu button. Untick that option and i think it should do what you want.
Yep
Settings>Buttons & Inputs>scroll down and uncheck 'allow home button'
That should do it

Go to setting --> Advanced --> HomeHelper
Use HomeHelper and set the HomeHelper launcher to whatever home launcher you prefer. Then check HomeHelper Block Home. This ensures that it won't unlock if you click the home button again. Remember to use WL HomeHelper as your default Home Launcher.
If you want to return to lockscreen after you're done with an app (that you launched from WL, then check "Block Home in other app" aswell.

Home key double tap - rebind

Like many other s2 users I am becoming annoyed with this double tap crap, about 50% now go to the voice command. What I an after is boot to disable double tap, but rebind it to the same as a single tap, and go to the home screen...
Thoughts??
TLDR how to make double tap = single tap plz??

[Q] Long press anywhere menu triggers way too easily. Possible to disable?

I enjoy that it is easy to access the themer menu easily, but it triggers very frequently when I am using the dialer widget. Is there any way to disable the menu?
Have had same issue as have others m8,the developers are looking into it
For the moment, you can uncheck "Lock homescreen Widgets" in Advanced Settings > Desktop, I think that's a little bit more slowly to appear.

The problem is that Themer has "double tap" for Themer Menu in the Gestures. When using the Dialer widget you type the first 2 numbers and it thinks you double tapped. Wish I could disable this gesture.

Hi,
Hold down on the homescreen - Themer Settings - Gestures - Double Tap - select the "X" at the top of the screen. Done

Well I find that it triggers much too easy as only a long press menu as well. In your case, just disable the double tap gesture in the settings.
But yea, that menu is popping up all the time for me when I don't want it to. Would like more settings for this. I have it set to pop up with long press on the home button. That is good enough for me. No need for it on the screen. An option to disable would be great.
Also would like an option to get rid of the red X on long presses when widgets are unlocked.

Can't enable accessibility options

I just installed Commandr for Google Now, and it requires me to enable it as a service in my settings. When I go to do this I am unable to hit "Okay" and thus cannot enable it. This persists with all other options including talkback. I able able to hit "Cancel" but when I tap "Okay" nothing happens. I know that part of my screen isn't dead as I can tap other things in that area.

Double tap to wake / shut down for RN3 Mediatek

As the title suggests, I'm looking for an app or anything even flash to let me turn the screen on and off with a double tap on the screen. Thanks to anyone who can help me
nova launcher
Nova gives only tap to shut down...not to wake up
To wake up use: "Wake Gestures"
