Redmi Note 3 Pro will not boot - A newbie in need of a couple answers - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

Hello everyone! First of all thanks for reading through my post, I'm quite the newbie to this Android stuff so please bear with me.
So I ordered the Note 3 Pro online, and it arrived yesterday. I was very happy about the device, but not even a whole day went by and as I did a simple google search (maybe it was running an update on the background?) my phone crashed. It rebooted on it's own and ever since it just keeps getting stuck in the MI logo.
Sometimes the phone loads a bar and reboots without loading the whole way through. This morning it actually loaded all the way once. It made it into my initial screen but immediately rebooted.
Since then I have found that this is apparently a common issue. I was surprised to find that I couldn't go into recovery mode (just..why?) and that I would have to flash my phone. If someone would kindly answer them, I would love to ask just a few questions about this.
1) Is flashing the only/best approach to fixing this issue?
2) What tutorial do you guys recommend? Should I flash it with the locked bootloader, or should I try to get the official bootloader unlock thing from MI? I'm just looking for the most efficient way of getting my phone back, as I'm not one to fiddle that much with different ROMs and stuff.
As you can imagine having this issue on day 1 is a little exhasperating, and as a new comer to all this stuff, it's all abit overwhelming.
Thanks in advance for your time :highfive:

Flash the original MIUI ROM via EDL. It's described a 100 times here. If the problem persist it's hardware related

Redmi 3: random china apps out of nowhere and unlocking bootloader stuck at 50%

Hello! im quite a newbie so ill try and explain as best as i can;
I bought my Redmi 3 about a year ago, and some months later it started installing by itself random chinese apps and placing popup ads randomly, at first it wasnt such a big deal,
now its got to a point where i cannot use the phone.
Some weeks earlier i tried and reserch about the problem, and from what i got the rom is a custom version of the miui 7 from the seller or some stuff,
so i decided to try and flash the device but after doing all the procedures to get the permissions for the bootloader unlock, now when i try to use the miflashunlock
it gets stuck at 50% with the cannot verify account error, so ichecked all the guides in the world, checked all the settings on the mi account and the stuff from the phone settings to be correct,
but its stuck no matter of what at 50% and now the phone is basically unusable because of the random chinese ads/apps blocking the phone.
I dont really know what to do, spent last 3h trying to flash the device unsuccesfully. At this point id like to reset the phone but the recovery mode is in chinese and i have no clue on what to do.
Help pl0x?
PS: also im in the wrong sections of the forum, mine is a Redmi 3 not a Redmi note 3 sorry

It's easy basically just flash the fastboot Rom of global stable from en.miui.com using edl flash mode and then flash the rom using miflash ,make sure u have drivers installed u will be good to go note: the internal storage will be wiped so backup eveything

Questions about the phone

Hi there
I just got a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Global Version (SD) and I’ve got a few simple questions to throw after having some ideas about what I would like to do with it and to sail a little bit through several threads around here.
First before start touching, I’d like to know how “easy” is to brick a device nowadays (particularly this device) by doing some things such as flashing different roms, recovery, fastboot, etc. Are they flashed independently? What procedures are considered the most dangerous ones when it comes to brick the phone? I’m inexperienced since I come from a device with a forever-locked bootloader and I didn’t try much. (I’ve already unlocked bootloader in the Xiaomi).
Also, I'd like to know if there is any simple one tap app to root the device. I’ve seen around here a tutorial to root through twrp installation, and I was wondering if there were something easier available (I haven’t found), that need not to install a custom recovery. Also I’d like to know if in case of following twrp method, ota updates would still be available.
Last, the reasons why I want to root the device are to uninstall/remove/disable some native apps and to grant access to some other, but especially to have access to Manual Mode in stock camera app mainly to use different exposure times, and other manual options. I’ve seen a Mod also on the site, but the problem is that it is only for Sony back camera sensor, I think. However I’ve checked, and my phone brings a Samsung sensor (s5k5e8). Any guidance about if it is possible to enjoy manual mode in this case?
That’s everything. Hope any can comment on. Thanks.

Hi mate. I think you should try opening a different thread.
That said, If I were you, I would try doing a reset to the device and doing a fresh install of all your apps.
cheers

Help with bricked P smart fig-lx3 ...problem installing kangvip

hi guys, first excuse my English, is not my native language and im trying my best, i was reading since a couple of days ago, all about restoring a bricked p smart, my story is the next, mi mom gives me for birthday a huawey p smart fig-lx3, i really like a lot, i decided to root it and make a backup, so i buy a new micro sd card, read the instructions posted here and, carefully go step by step, unlock boot loader, install twrp, make a full system backup, the next day the cell was everything ok, i downloaded some apk, suddenly some installers of it just disappear, i though maybe i deleted it by mistake, installed some of it, then reboot the cell phone... and hangs it in the screen after boot... and was all in slow motion, so i though i made something wrong, so i enter twrp and restore it with my previously made backup, just after flash it, i saw NO OS INSTALLED do you want to reboot? i just freaked out a little but i have no option, so, reboot. and in the screen just appears a blue and red squares and then the white dead screen where says needs to update again... i flash it all, all partitions, i really freaked out bad time, you know, im in third world, this phone is expensive here, mi mom its gonna pay for it for months, im kind of ashamed, sad and mad with myself, i have almost no sleeped in 3 days looking for a solution, im giving up, i read about the KANGVIP rom but cant make it works, i really appreciate if some of you can give me a hint on going thru this,i know actually the micro sd was a damaged one maybe a fake kingstone, and that was the source of the hang and corrupted backup. thank you for taking the time for reading my long story. (the cell have twrp figo 321 and enter fasboot mode with no problem)
my what sap if someone can give me some advice or instructions is 522281027604

Hi! I need some advice.

Okay, so I apologize in advance if this cannot be posted here. My reason for doing so, is because I need some help with a Zenwatch 2 by Asus and the thread pertaining to this device seems to be a ghosttown. So if you need, please move this where it should go, but not without offering a word of advice or two first
So obviously I have a zenwatch 2, and I was tinkering with it earlier, and somehow got it stuck in CVC fastboot or something like that. I was able to get TWRP on it (Thank god, im much more optomistic now) but I am still having trouble getting an OS back on it. At first I wasnt even able to read the internal storage from my computer, or even begin to sideload anything, but I went into the TWRP settings and repaired the partitions to EXT4 or something of that sort. Now I am able to sideload, as well as access the storage from my PC, but I have had no success in flashing a working OS.
Im usually pretty familiar with android, rooting and unlocking, but these watches seem to be a bit different.
If anyone has anything that would help, please feel free!
The exact model of watch I have is WREN W1502Q .... I think.
Thanks in advance!
UPDATE:
I got it to boot!! Now I am stuck with a hang on that screen with all the swirly dots (the four separate animations that is right before boot)
So we're making progress, but I dont know if it is just gonna take a long time to boot, or if it is hanging! Hopefully we can get over this last hump. Thanks!
UPDATE 2:
Back up and running!
Praise the Lord!

Samsung J7

Hi there,
I'm hoping someone can help me. I bought a second hand Samsung J7. It seemed to work fine but then when I had to restart the phone when it was at about 28% battery, it would start to boot and then turn off, I had to charge it to bring it back on. After this happening a number of times I looked for some help online and was advised to do a soft reset. When I did this, the phone came on and had a page entitled "Unmodified System Partition" again I looked this up and it appears that the phone has been rooted and TWRP has been installed.
Is there a way of getting rid of anything the previous owner did and get the phone up and running for a noob to use, as if bought brand new? And could the restart/battery issue be related or should I get a new battery?
I'm not tech savy, but I'm not a technophobe either, and any help I would really appreciated, so my son can have his first phone!
Thank you for taking the time to read.
Kindest regards xx

Your phone is in a boot loop because the previous owner messed something up. You can either flash a stock ROM via Odin or an easier way since you have TWRP installed is flash a custom ROM found on XDA. Make sure to read the info and the install instruction involve flashing with TWRP. Custom ROM can be found here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7-2017/development. I looked really quick this one is easy to install: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7-2017/development/rom-cleanoreov1-t3875903
