Debloated rooted hotspot fix backup - Huawei Ascend XT Guides, News, & Discussion

1 You need to rename a folder which is located here twrp\backups\serial here\ then put on sdcard or upload to phone.
2 restore backup all partitions for full stock or just everything but recovery. I used winrar to compress the back.

Your are on a role, @madvane20! Thanks for sharing this. First the stock ROM, and now this. The only major thing missing now is a custom ROM. Hope somebody is making any progress on it or reaches out to this forum if they run into issues and need any help.
A request. Can you put in the OP which are the apps/files that were removed for the debloating? This will help to track any issues when people start posting feedback with specific apps. Thanks!

FYI, the rar file has any error when opening it. Can you verify/test it for CRC/checksum and then repost? Thanks!

Think I might be doing something wrong. I originally unlocked device then rooted device, downloaded the debloated file then under TWRP restored device with everything but recovery checked but it appears as though all apps are still there. Am I missing something?

Why don't you just post the adb command and let them do it? It's so easy if you do that - copy/paste command into the window . They already have and used adb/fastboot to flash TWRP.

Thanks for the help, glad you were able to connect and debloat my device, went pretty quick. Hope that cust partition works out for you.
Sometimes it is easier just to let someone else do the work, not saying I'm lazy but if someone with experience can get the job done quicker then by all means. This is the reason I downloaded the debloated version, to simplify the process.
Happy to have the supportive community and I will always help wherever I can.

i might not be on for next couple days got the flue so hope noone has any problems with my roms or someone else can help going to lay down now

[Q] How to make your own ROM?

Heya,
Hence I haven't found anything about this topic (or I'm just dumb), I wanted to post this question.
What I basically want:
- Have all my Apps and their data
- Have all the settings
in one ROM I could flash onto my device in the case that I "accidentaly" brick my phone.
Is there a way to do that?
Cheers.
Use xRecovery.

Alright I am dumb xD. Haven't hought about this one going to test it out in a sec.
Thanks
Edit: So I just got into the Backup & Restore menu and backed up the system, I hope I'm doing everything right.
Sounds like it so far.
Ok I apparently have a folder inside the xRecovery folder. It's named after todays date and there are some system img files etc. in there so I suppose that's it.
Pretty much yes.

If you are talking about xRecovery, all you have to do it make 1 backup, this backs up ALL data/apps/settings (also stuff like call logs, SMS, accounts, boot-animation, themes).
I use restore my main backup multiple times a day when I'm working with ROMs.
If you are talking about a backup that can be restored with X10Flash, well I would also like to know the answer to that.
(how to generate SIN files?)
Is what you guys are talking about like creating a "backup image" like you would for a PC?

Indeed. I need this because of constant rom flashing. I brick my phone way to often and its a hassle to set everything the way it was before.

Yes, new rom replace all things
well since you have already done factory reset (and lost all your data) no point in whats written below
But if it happens next time and you want to preserve data, please mention if you are running an odexed/deodexed rom. Someone nice here can upload the file(s) you need and you can push them to your phone using adb

Yes stock rom will always be odexed. to check you can go to app or framework folder in system/ and see if you have corresponding odex files for apk or jars.
Edit: Also a suggestion. Don't flash mods that do not specefically say that they are for odexed roms (if you are on stock). For brightness control you can use lux brightness free from market. it gives you control on how much brightness you need

need help in cwm nandroid backup

hey guys i am new to this forum
i recently rooted my android device with clockwork mod 5.0.2.8 installed
i flashed a new rom and before flashing i made a backup of the existing rom
the rom was ok and so i renamed the backup as 'stock'
i decided to go back to the original rom and thought of restoring it but it says "md5 sums not found"
so anybody have any kind of help
i am using samsung galaxxy ace plus gt-s7500
you need to rename it to what the backup was called when you created the nandroid
Just make sure that your backup is in root directory of your sd card..
Just like this
Sdcard>clockworkmod>backup>2012-09-06.11.31.38>files
If it is not like that make like that

I've done this before on my motorola xoom, had to just delete the backup, kinda sucks. Since though I do recall some recoveries there is an option to not check md5 sums on restoration of the backup so that is what you want to try do. I have a feeling CWM doesn't have this feature but you can check. TWRP I think does so check if there is that recovery for your device. But then there may be compatibility issues since you made the backup with CWM. Worth a try though. Good luck
Thanks for the help

Yeah, same with when this happened to me.
You could, if feeling brave, theoretically this should work but I've never tried it. But the backups in your /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup folder are .img files you could extract them to your computer and use fastboot to flash them onto your device
will definitely try

If anyone Owns the dopo td-1010 and still has all stock system apps there is a very easy way that you could really help me out! all you would have to do is install titanium backup and make a back up of every single app in the list (besides things you have installed) and then upload the backups somewhere for me . you can get titanium back up here: http://www22.zippyshare.com/v/86267062/file.html . you have to have the device rooted in order to use it. you can root the dopo td-1010 with this: http://sourceforge.net/projects/androidroot/ ( works perfectly on this device, i have done it myself) PLEASE if there is anyone out there that can help me with this PLEASE get back to me as soon as possible.
You scrath my back, and I'll scratch yours
I have the TD-1010, I can and am will to help you out here, but I am running into a problem you seem to have already figured out.
I was googling the Internets for drivers to TD-1010 for Windows, for the same program/script/batch file you were recommending for rooting the TD-1010. I need to get said drivers before I am able to root the TD-1010 and backup redistribute said OS to you my good sir. At current the script can't find the device without the drivers. Hopefully I'll hear from you soon so I can do you a favor in return.
PS do you have the problem with it randomly freezing, or is that just me...?

I have never used titanium backup before, i thought that it would work, but it does not appear to actually back the applications up, just the settings and configurations for them or something. unfortunately, That will not help me fix this. it looks like the only way to do it is to use this app: http://www15.zippyshare.com/v/78017991/file.html . it is called "root uninstaller pro". i didnt want to ask someone to use this if i didnt have to because it is how i messed mine up, but if you make sure not to delete anything while your in there and just back everything up it will not harm your device at all. im a dumbass and started removing stuff i didnt really know what it was and then i lost my back up so i could not reinstall. thank you again for all the time you have taken on this already. would you be willing to use the root uninstaller program to make proper backups that will work for me?

So I looked up info on both backup programs, and they are both equivalent to using the add/remove OR uninstall feature of windows. I used Nandroid for the full images you already should have the link to my drop box. Since this is a full copy of my system I do require you not distribute it and remove any of my account settings you may find. Feel free to keep any of the apps I have already installed (they were all free anyways). Good luck

IMaybe a little help? I have been following your post and cannot seem to get the drivers to install. I have tried on both w7 and xp. Both computers see it in usb mode but once switched to usb debugging and directed to the driver file you posted it gives me the error the error message incorrect drivers. Any suggestioned would be greatly appericated.
Titanium back up creates compressed file with apk.gz extension. That is where the app is and you can use 7zip or your favorite util to get tin the install file which will have a .apk extension. Once you do that you can install the app. Copy the app to SD or via cloud drive like dropbox and install.

[SOLVED] HELP!!! Huawei Mate 10 Lite TelephonyProvider

I have accidentally deleted my TelephonyProvider app and now I can't unlock my SIM card!
I am in urgent need of TelephonyProvider app from a working Huawei Mate 10 Lite.
I couldn't find the stock ROM anywhere so I couldn't fix that by myself
I'm using RNE-L01 model Huawei Mate 10 Lite and RNE-L01C432B130(EMUI 5.1, Android 7.0) is the ROM the phone is running.
I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me and send me theirs...
If you want to copy and send me yours, I have to tell you that the full path is /system/priv-app/TelephonyProvider/ and it will require root to get it from there. (And yes I'm probably going to need the whole folder)
Thanks in advance!
UPDATE: Now phone can't detect my SIM card at all and in status, IMEI number stays unknown... I wonder how did that happen as I only touched that particular apk... plus supersu root and xposed(no modules as I started having problems before I could tend to that.)
UPDATE 2: As I've received and restored the TelephonyProvider apk I'd accidentally deleted, all those problems above are now gone! Thanks again @kilroystyx

How do you messed up system partition? Just be curious
I was restoring a backup apps etc from a Huawei G8 using Titanium backup. But when I restored them, dialer and messaging apps started crashing whenever I opened them. I had obviously restored my call log and sms messages the wrong way. To fix it without a reset, I tried deleting the data I backed up using the very same app and in the process I happened to delete the apk by accident(which is a system app itself).

Don't understand then why a factory reset could not fix this issue
Because it basically wipes data, cache and dalvik cache partitions. It does NOT touch system partition at all.

I would've done that already if I could find it. However I can't seem to find it on the Internet as even search engines return very few results containing the build number of the ROM and none of them actually have the ROM. I could only find firmware with build RNE-AL00C00B155(Model RNE-AL00) when I searched for huawei mate 10 lite but the model doesn't match mine(RNE-L01).

Thanks again, let me try that
Edit:
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
This one worked perfectly! My IMEI number shows up again and it can detect and unlock my SIM card!
You, sir have saved me from having to bring my phone to service(and possibly void my warranty - I also happened to somehow lose the unpatched boot.img, instead it always has SuperSU root in it and because of that, I couldn't even lock my bootloader back without making the phone unusable, though unlocking bootloader again solves that issue.) because of the SIM card function I broke within the very first day I bought this phone. I can't thank you enough for that, seriously. I believe the thank you button will not be enough for this but I'll do the only thing I can to express my thanks and click that anyways.

Was enough or do you need some more apk's to restore?

No, this is the only apk I had accidentally deleted, therefore the only one I needed to restore the functionality. Thank you once again, you're a lifesaver! At least when it comes to my phone's SIM detection, that is.

As I thought our models are sharing the same system.
I'm glad that you fix your device

So, in that case make a TWRP backup, to avoid this kind of issues in the future.
You're welcome

The problem with that is, I'm unable to back up the data partition with that. Somehow I'm getting a createTarFork() ended with ERROR:255 on that.
I was able to successfully backup my boot, vendor and system partitions though and all of this happened after the problem has started and before it was solved.

Because your data partition is encrypted.
Under my signature you can see what I did to manage this issue.
Root with decrypt option and then decrypt data.
