Having just issue with gyroscope not working properly so far everything else all good can't use file manager as won't let me access SD card so use root browser and no problem whatsoever

Thank you for your work!
So to continue from the other thread.
Seems large apps can't be moved, while small apps can.
I have 30gb free on the sdcard, but Final Fantasy 7 or 9 can't be moved there, giving the error "insufficient storage". However big files can be moved between location manually.
(Final Fantasy 7 doesn't run at all, and just instantly crashes when open. That game was always sensitive to where it was stored. It did work on your cm13, but not very well, its a bad port of the pc version I think
*Edit that, updated just got pushed by play store. What's changed state it doesn't work in 7.x Android).
Again, I am providing feedback as things happen. Not particularly asking for a solution, although maybe anything I come across can indicate issues to help with development.
Ooh another thing. In the expanded notification panel, pressing the pencil icon in order to rearrange the icon causes the phone to freeze for a minute or two, then brings up the lockscreen. Seems like SystemUI having issues but there is no error messages indicating that (but its that kind of behaviour from older Android versions that makes it seem like the case). It does not happen every time, but happens more than actually opening the rearrange page happens.

I got no problems (SD card not formatted as internal).
Although in some earlier builds when I formatted the SD card as internal storage I couldn't access internal memory from my PC.
So specify your problem a bit please?

Plug your phone to your PC. Then when it connects to the PC you'll have to open your status bar and see a notification saying "USB Charging this device". Click on it and you'll get a small menu with 4 options. Click on " Transfer files" (which is the second option) and then your phone will reconnect with your PC automatically and you'll be able to access the internal and SD card data from your PC.
And a feature has been added to Android ever since the 6.0 version where the users can configure the SD card to be able use it as Internal Storage. You can find that in the settings of your device?

This might be able to fix it. Go to developer options, scroll down to "select USB configuration" and change whatever setting you have to MTP. You might wanna switch modes a few times and then connect to PC with MTP active..
The bug has been active since cm13 in some cases and I personally never had the issue so I can't go into full depth of this.

Thanks Demetris.
Couple of 1st impressions:
1) The ROM seems to have reversed the mounting for internal (emmc) and external sd cards. Is this by design or is it a bug?
2) I really liked the large status bar icons in your CM10 rom as they are easier on the eyes. Is there any way to make the icons (clock, battery, etc) larger in this rom?

All data is defaulted to internal sdcard by design and imo this is the correct way and if you search around you will find that when otherway around when there isnt one ext-sdcard in the nook the mounting has bugs.
How to add and remove tablet quick setting, I can't find the option for it, the rom only allow me edit the default JB tiles and layouts
Because the sdcard was mounted as internal storage, so all data and installed apps will disappeared. How to reversed it without reinstall again.
I currently have your other ROM installed (SGT7+CM10+Cherry Picks), can I update to this new one without a full wipe? And also will the sdcard switched to internal storage mess up the currently installed apps like the previous posters have mentioned?

It is under development options, which may not be enabled.
To enable it go to about tablet and tap build number 7 times (from memory) I think.
It has been hidden by default for some reason.

The EMMC/SD swap has made it so that games and other things that require the SD space will not install.
EDIT: Yeah, the apps themselves will install to "internal", but wish to store their massive obb data on the SD card which now only reads as 1GB.

You obviously need to repartition your nook.
Runs beautifully for me. Just to let you know, if you drain it to 0 and it turns off, and your nook cable has broken (as they easily do), it will take ALL NIGHT for it to turn back on with trickle charge. I plugged it into a cell phone charger, which didn't work at all, but then used a cable for external 2.5" hard drives, the type that has two usb plugs, one for power and the other for power and data, and left it overnight.
THAT worked. Just sayin'
But this seems to be the case with the slow charging (whether Nook cable or regular usb) with ALL of the 4.2 roms that I have tried (even 4.1). Oh well. Not a problem for me, but just in case someone else has that problem.
On the other hand, I have not used a rom on the nook yet which I like better or has been more stable for me than this one. Good job demetris!

Sorry, it wasn't as obvious to me because it was never an issue with any other rom that was ever released. ever. Thanks for your help. I do enjoy your mods and the time you put into it.
Far and away my favorite ROM. There's nothing out there that's as stable for me as the SGT/Cherry Pick ROM.
Re: [ROM]{WIP} SGT7+CM10.1+Cherry Picks,By meghd00t. 31/01/13
Meghd00t- will you be updating based on kuzmas 2/06 release? I ask because I saw you released a kernel in that thread, and I was wondering if it should be flashed over this ROM, etc. I prefer to stay with your versions as they are always speedier for me. I have noticed, I am again experiencing that when plugging in to charge, I have to turn on the screen until it says or shows charging, though this is a very minor issue. Thanks again!

Before posting, please use the forum search and read through the discussion thread for [ROM][Unofficial] CM12 / CyanogenMod 12 (pollux/pollux_windy) - updated JAN 19. If you can't find an answer, post it here, being sure to give as much information as possible (firmware version, steps to reproduce, logcat if available) so that you can get help.
Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!
Found bugs/defects:
1. There is no way to take a screenshot. Volume down + Power not working, must not add screenshot button on power menu, or on long tap to home button.
2. Quick setting panel setup contains bug: if you want configure tile, you need to tap left of tile. Also, quick settings contains very few settings.
Also, most features of CM missing. Probably because of this ROM is so stable?
Screenshot capturing works for me just fine.. But i can confirmm quick titles bug.

No interruption. See https://support.google.com/nexus/answer/6111295?hl=en
I have installed the latest "cm-12-20150217-UNOFFICIAL-pollux_windy."
As much as I love the Android L rom, I might need to go back to cm-11 roms. This is because the latest "Folder mount 2.7.1" is not working well with Android L in Tablet Z WIfi.
Also, the inbuilt "move to sd" under settings/apps is not working well yet.
I hope developers of "Folder mount" can fix their application to run on Android L soon.
Going back to cm-11 when qsnc has cooked such a nice cm-12 ROM for Tablet Z WIFI is really a hard decision to make.
Does anyone know why in cm-12 , changing application datas to external microsd is not working? Or is it just me?
Under /settings>apps> Move to external sd ------> error message : not enough storage space ?? (My microsd is 16gb class10 and has more than 10gb free space.)
Also, has anyone tried using "foldermount 2.7.1?" It is not possible to pair from internal emulated storage link to external microsd. Any way to solve this issue?
Thanks
Foldermount works fine on March 1st release
cantenna
Thanks for the good news. I have actually went back to cm-11. I've also tried to notify the developer of 'folder mount' by leaving a feedback in Google play apps store. But it looks like "qsnc" did a great job with cm-12 for our lovely polux windy (Xperia Tablet Z sgp311 wifi).
It's time for me to flash cm-12 again.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to get folder mount to work properly in latest cm-12 march.
Folder mount can move files from internal sdcard to external sdcard1 (microsd) but when I click to mount the icon doesn't turn green which means it fails to mount and bind the paired folders.
I have some luck with directory bind application but still not working as well as I hope. As long as I don't umount sdcard1, the binding can be maintained. Unfortunately, the binding can be lost randomly.
I really prefer to have application's data go to my microsd because if I happen to erase all files in my internal data partitions, the data's in my microsd will still be safe and can easily be restored. In the worst scenario , if the tablet for some reasons cannot turn on, my datas on microsd will still be safe and I can insert the microsd into PC for backup or into insert into a new android device to continue work.
Cm-12 is really nice but because folder mount is not working well yet, I have to make a hard decision as to whether to use cm-11 for now. I miss archos 70 days when it was possible to swap the micro SD with the internal emulated sdcard. No need for any applications.
There is a script
by tanjung269 for xperia v to swap the microsd and the internal emulated sdcard1.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2466590
Maybe someone can modify the script for xperia tablet z?

Thanks for introducing me to xposed modules.
I've never used xposed before and I am really new to the world of xposed framework.
I did some reading. Tried the latest xposed for lollipop but unfortunately didn't work with cm-12.
I decided to go back to cm-11 and install xposed framework with the "xinternalsd" module.
I must say i am very surprised indeed. it worked beautifully. My micro SD became the data partition where apps store their data's. Wow! This, to me is a better solution than foldermount although folder mount is still a very good application. Before this, I was kind of intimidated by this new thing called "xposed framework." Sure, I heard about it all over the forum and even on apps like greenify but I thought it was too advance in android hacking for me to figure out how to use it. Thank God, the developer has made it so easy to install.
Thanks Rootk1t once again for getting me interested in xposed. I hope that the developer will make xposed usable for lollipop soon. But for now, I think I can live with cm-11 and xposed!
Foldermount and Xposed works perfectly fine on this ROM CM12 March 1st release, I have in my tablet an ext 128g SanDisk card. I don't know why you are having problems but try what I did, after you install ROM (march 1st release) install SuperSu binary via recovery search it via google and XDA, then make sure you you flash this zip by danaff37 via recovery found
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/official-xposed-lollipop-t3030118/page324
** PAGE 324, be sure you flash "On another device try this"**
its loosely found by browsing the q&a thread for Xposed, but its an awesome tweak that sets the kernel to permissive early on pre boot instead of post boot, this zip is also key to making Xposed alpha fully functional on lollipop. I suspect foldermount may not be working for you because selinux is not set to permissive but is more likely due to not having SuperSU installed. You may also have to format internal storage as a last resort if all else fails but probably not. I did format internal storage because I wanted to take advantage of f2fs, but anyways I have foldermount working perfectly on both my GS4 and my Pollux windy both devices f2fs, lollipop, both devices have sandisk micro SD 128g, 100+ games
Oh, most important of all, you need to install twrp via fota, instructions are in the main thread how and on twrp website on how to do this via terminal. You need to do this to flash zips via recovery
cantenna,
Thanks for the sharing.
I tried to download March 1 cm_12 from cyanogen download website but unfortunately, the rom is no longer available.
I didn't know that I had to install SuperSu because I usually enable cyanogen built-in SU in the developer settings.
Although, cm-11 with xposed framework with xinternalsd module works ok for me, out of curiousity, I wanted to see if folder mount worked in the march 1 cm-12 rom. The last 2 cm-12 rom that i used was the March 8 and a later version Foldermount didn't work in those nightlies. Of course, the other thing is, I didn't install SuperSU because I relied on the built in su that is usually provided by cyanogen roms.
I also tried to install xposed in another device, the xperia V using the latest cm-12. Unfortunately, even after using the patch for the link you provided to make selinux permissive, xposed failed to flash using cwm recovery loader or TWRP loader. It is reported that the current xposed for lollipop will work only in Android 5.0 and not in Android 5.02. i wonder if the March 1st cm-12 rom is Android 5.0. If I could download that march 1st cm12 rom, I might just give Xposed a try. Then again, I am not sure if the xinternalsd module will work in lollipop or not.
The xinternalsd xposed module is good enough for me at the moment although I did notice that some apps still managed to send their datas to the device emulated SDCARD instead of my microsd. I don't know why.
For this reason, I am still interested if there is some way to tweak the vold.fstab file to get a proper swap between the device emulated sdcard and the external microsd.
I just checked the march 1st version of the ROM is indeed 5.02. Let me know of you want me to send you a copy of the ROM, its still in my downloads folder, send me a pm.
Why pollux-windy uses source-code for telephone functions ?

Allways in changlog for windy ?!

I can't Access my internal storage at all

I am currently using Oneplus one with which i am facing issues which i think have to deal with storage permissions.
Issues i am dealing with
I can't take any screenshots it says "can't save screenshot due to limited storage"
I can't take any photos it says "insert your sd card before using camera"
I can't Download apps like Chrome or anything like that
I can't download images from web
I can't even move files from my pc even though it detects it
I can't Move any of my files in my phone It says "Operation Failed"
Actually, i installed resurrection remix rom and installed gapps later discovered that my camera and downloading doesn't work.
My device is not rooted (i don't want to) and has TWRP recovery installed. and has my both rom and gapps in the internal storage which i can only access through TWRP. I don't have any important files on that phone so, i am good to delete them. But i only want a Nougat Clean install with proper functioning of storage. i tried so much but it doesn't work at all.
Please help me, this one's so horrible.:crying::crying::crying:

I can't believe you hadn't tried that.

There is an internal problem in your device. Please contact your manufacturer.

Hello everyone!
Pls help me on this one...
I have:
- unlocked Boot loader
- installed Twrp 3.2.1 vendor patch
- installed Magisk 16.0
- flashed DotOs 2.4 treble ROM
- installed Franco kernel (fk6)
on my Redmi Note 4 (mido).
The problem is:
- whenever I reboot my device a message appears from DotOs System which says: There is an internal problem in your device. Please contact your manufacturer.
- whenever I play Pubg mobile, my phone usually reboots... And these random reboots occur not only in pubg but also in other apps if I try to multitask or click the buttons fastly or try to use my phone very quickly.
Please help me guys.

If I were you I'd download latest Lineage Rom, latest gapps, Magisk vcustom version that supports treble enabled roms, then kud kernel. Put them on an external sd or file storage, completely wipe my phone except the external part of it, then flash them in the said order. Franco kernel been updated quite a while ago. Since then lots of things have changed in the aosp based roms. The kernel might cause those problems of yours. Also first of all, before doing anything I'd flash latest Orange Fox Treble enabled recovery R6 beta, which solves some flashing issues. This is what I'd do to solve those problems of yours within 10 minutes. But it's just me, a purist being real and being safe than sorry.

Did you try everything I wrote above? These steps should work in case you badly messed up your system. I mean, I fiddle and meddle with my OS all the time, often rendering my phone unusable. As much that I have to clean wipe and reinstall the whole OS following the steps I provided. There was no case when a whole, system wide wipe and a clean install wouldn't solve.

Perhaps I can give you one more tip that you can try.
First, if you have an external SD card make sure to copy latest stable global MiUi ROM, latest Lineage OS for mido, latest open gapps, kud kernel, Magisk 16.0 treble enabled and orange fox onto it. If not then download these to your pc or laptop.
1) Make a full wipe including system, data, vendor, cache, dalvik and internal storage.
2) From TWRP flash latest MiUi stable global rom.
(if you have external SD do it from there, if you don't, since you made a full wipe, your internal SD is empty. Through USB sideload copy MiUi onto your internal SD and flash it from there if you don't have an external SD with the flashable zips on it)
3) Boot up the system, make sure everything is working.
4) Reboot to TWRP and do a full wipe again.
5) Flash Lineage OS from your external SD or copy the required zip onto your internal SD through USB sideload.
6) Now flash latest gapps (pico is far enough)
7) Flash Kud Kernel
8) Flash Magisk 16.0 treble enabled or magisk vcustom, they are the same but more stable than 16.7 which is still beta.
9) Reboot to system and see for yourself if everything is working.
I hope this solves your problem. Sometimes if you flash back MiUi it solves some crash perhaps firmware related problems. I don't know but this helped me a few times. If you messed up something USB sideload is always an option to copy any flashable zip onto your internal SD, however I always use external SD for it's easy to trust and use.
In case your data/internal SD shows 0 kb/mb free space do a data wipe and a partition from special settings in TWRP with all sizes set to 0.
I don't have any more tips to help you. Sorry.
I would say get Orangefox or Redwolf recovery if you dont have them already. Try flashing any rom and see if your problem persists,if not flash magisk and custom kernels. With the process of elimination you should know the source of the problem which i think is francokernel as it was mentioned.

Probably Cpu throttling service asks for increase in cpu frequency due to the requirement , but when the cpu frequency is scaled up high , but due to some internal problem (temperature sensor failure or faulty processor etc...) the temperature detected is too high that the phone reboots.
TBH I have no idea about how android devices work but this happens on PS4 due to burnt capacitors , this can be fixed sometimes.
Buddy I will help u...
Just download the build.prop editor from playstore and grant root permission and search for ro.treble.enabled line and change it to false:fingers-crossed:

Thank you very much, I really want to test your rom, it is fascinating to see how this tablet works in an incredible way thanks to its development.
Also looking forward to this very much!!
Thank you for all your hard work!
Links are online!
I honestly can't stop getting excited about this tablet, with this system it works super well, it's more fluid, consumes less battery and it looks beautiful. I share some screenshots of what this looks like after customizing it. I will not tire of thanking the developer who continues to give us happiness with these rom's
Also played shortly with this new /e/ rom. Very smooth and fluent, wonderfull! Enjoying this googlefree experience very much! Going to stay on it and not going back to LOS unless i have to.
Haven't had lot of time to test all functions but here is how it worked for me:
- wifi works flawlesly.
- screen rotate works well on trebuchet, haven't tried with the other native launcher.
- haven't tested BT, call and message functions or mobile data. will do that later.
- camera app opens, but i get message that the picture can't be saved. Same for both cameras and video. Seemed to have something to do with the ability to write on the intern scdard. I tried to change the folder for saving pictures in but it didn't work.
- it wasn't possible to install apps from the /e/ App Store. THe app itself most often crashed when i tried that. And there seemed to be a small symbol of a locked padlock next to all the apps on all the app lists. Suspecting that installing might require logging in the user account, is that so? Which was a bit strange in that case, and seems to be necessary for several other apps, like notes, calender, and such. Installing from fdroid worked with no problem.
- I missed the possibility to shut down those apps i don't need so they no longer show in the app drawer.
But overall awesome ROM from the awesome dev. Can't thank you enough and looking forward to your further developing!
Had a chance to play a little with the more functions:
-Mobile data works.
- Calls work.
- Messages work. haven't been able to test MMS.
- BT is a complete no-go. Tried to connect with both a small speaker and a keyboard, and despite trying for almost half hour, it didn't work. N5120 finds those gadgets nearby, but it can't connect.
- Camera still doesn't work. Can't save the pictures on internal storage.
- Trying to open Gallery-app will get you a message that no external storage is available. Even if it is.
- Tried to set up an external sd card as extra storage but formatting didn't work.
- The Files-app cannot show internal storage either.
- App store doesn't allow installs.
- Recorder-app annoyingly buggy. Gets stuck in recording sound mode when started. Recording video produces a video that can't be opened. VLC app is blocked from viewing it by the native app.
- The tablet just frose. Had to hard close.

I decided to include the Trebuchet for this unofficial version.

In my case, it was exactly the same behaviour at the first start, after closing the camera completely and reopen it, it's working.
I've recognized that there's sometimes a problem when you try to record with the front cam.
(I guess it is fixed when you set the fps to 30)
With gCam on LOS 16 it's working fine.

but we have to wait for them.

I tried closing and restarting the camera many times. Nothing.
DOn't know about the accessible storage, as i said, it could install apps from the microsd card, like fdroid. And update it.
The external storage (microsd card) is accessible in the native explorer (files-app). Tried to format it too, not sure about the results, it ran it till the end and said it was done, but still couldn't see it. First when i formatted it in another device it saw the extern sd card. So, the native explorer sees the microsd card, but not the internal storage.

First of all, kudos = I'm testing your /e/ ROM with a damaged N5100 (main camera KO & unreliable SIM slot) and it's behaving quite well.
Found similar issues with App Store (internal failure errors), but I've managed to bypass most of them after Disable/Enable Auth Storage & reboot.
The only error still there was during the installation from App Store of System App / MicroG with Support for Exposure Notifications. However, it was only a matter of package signature mismatch = enabling root for ADB & manually replacing the GmsCore APK in priv-app, everything worked back again.
About Bluetooth, I haven't tested it yet for BT pairing (doing it tomorrow), but for instance BLE Advertising of GAEN Contact Tracing Apps seems working fine.

When you perform the first screenrecording, it doesn't create the subfolder Screenrecords into the Movies folder. Therefore, even if it says that the movie has been saved, there is nothing to retrieve.
I've solved it by deleting such 1st screenrecord from the recorder app, then disable/enable Storage Auth & reboot. After the reboot the screenrecord subfolder was there & I've managed to perform new screen records without issues.
What version of gcam works for you? I am using gcam go mod but the image remains static, activate the HAL3 to see if it could start well and nothing.

How did you install the rom, with a complete data wipe? Or did you just wiped data without data/media (factory reset?)
If you have backuped your files, you could try to reboot into TWRP and choose Wipe->Advanced Wipe->Internal Storage and reboot.

I don't know why yet, but some apps doesn't get storage access at first start, they just need to be closed (also in the background) and restarted, then they should work.

I usually cleanflash but this time i was unsure. So i installed again, after wiping everything. And get exactly the same behavior from the device.
Hmm strange, I don't understand why, on my device's it is working fine, it makes no difference if I just do a factory reset or if I wipe /data completely .
Maybe you could send me a logcat or a complete syslog file?
Then I will try to find out whats wrong.
I would if i knew how..
You could use the syslog app and create a complete log file after a reboot, or adb shell .
adb shell
su
logcat > /sdcard/logcat.txt
