I was using Unofficial Cm13 (kenzo optimized) rom, then I decided to go to miui8 global stable. So, I flashed MIUI8 .zip file using alka twrp.
But after flashing it, my phone didn't boot into system. Mi logo flashed twice with vibration, and that's it. Now I can only go to fastboot mode only.
And when I try to flash fastboot rom using mi suit, it says, " try to connect in normal mode first, then switch.
Please help.!!
Hello, sometimes after installing the new rom the phone slowing on first boot.. try to get on recovery again and then do all format. after this flash the rom. The best way to flash the rom secure is to try fastboost method!!

Actually, I am unable to get on to recovery. When I press power+ volume up button, it vibrates, mi logo appears for a second, and then it goes and what is left now is blinking red led light. Also, If I boot into fastboot, and and connect my phone suing usb, The mi pc Suits says, "try to connect in normal mode first, then switch"

Thanks for the support. But I am unable to try this method. because the fastboot download speed is very low.
bro dont take any pressure...go to fstbot mode and check whether your bootloader is relocked or not..i am 99% sure its relocked..just unlock it and you are good to go

just again unlock with the same way you did it first time..means go to fastboot mode..connect the phone to pc..now login on miunlock tool in your pc and unlock...simple

I was having same situation too bro !!!
flash MIUI rom via MiFlash tool...
install ADB drivers ,
connect usb cable to laptop / pc...
then press both volume buttons at same time (+ and -) and at the same time while pressing keys , insert cable into ur mobile...
this will boot ur phone in EDL mode...
then by using MiFlash tool , flash rom and reboot
I flashed MIUI global 7.1.8 , it worked for me !

So, if i need to go back to miui 8 (recovery rom of 1.19 gb) i need to
1. Flash miui 8 recovery rom through alka twrp.
2. Boot into fastboot mode.
3. Unlock using mi unlock tool.
4. Switch on my phone (and now its in miui 8)
Am i correct?
Hello my friend just made an update of his phone which is a redmi 3 pro
His little bro shutdowned the phone while update was in process. The result is that now the phone have a bootloop, can't access the recovery (blackscreen when trying) and have a locked bootloader.
So I am not sur how to unlock the BL if I can't install a dev rom and can't boot. Not sur how to get into the recovery with the 2 same problems.
Could anyone help me for this one? Which is hard to me.

I have the similar problem with my Redmi3. The Fastboot screen is the only screen that I can get now. Let me know if you have answer. Thanks.
If you can acces fastboot then just connect the phone to computer in fastboot and enter fastboot oem edl in cmd (maybe you will need Minimal ADB and fastboot to do it). Then flash official ROM via MiFlash.

EDL mode allows flashing with locked bootloader. Some models have this mode locked, but I think that is not the case with Redmi 3.

to go to edl mode just turn off your phone.plug the cable to your laptop or desktop but not to your phone.now be ready to press both volume up and down button as you plug the usb cable to ur phone.immediately after inserting the usb cable press both volume buttons at the same time.it should vibrate and go to edl mode.edl mode appears in black screen so to know if its in edl mode or not open miflash and click refresh ,your device should be shown as com10,20 or com something like that .once you go to edl mode you know what to do if you have used miflash to flash roms.hope this helps you.

Well about that i dont know.but your best bet to solve it is by changing the software.if that does not helps then you should take your device to a technician for repairing.

When i bouht it the software it was unnoficial then i put with miflash the china dev. All the problem start when i make updates apps and the android web view.

try flashing official global rom then see if the problem still persists or not
Hey! I am back with some news of my friend!
He tried to run the EDL mode but when he does that the phone simply goes into the bootloop again... He asked a vendor from Aliexpress to get a french rom, is there a way that the phone doesn't have EDL because of the rom or something like that? I mean is EDL a hardware-thing or a software-thing

I have same problem, but this way is not work, because bootloader is locked. Im forget for replacing recovery.img in update package with twrp.
I had this problem before few monthes
my solution was to "force" putting this device on EDL mode
I clicked on vol up + vol down + power together and got into EDL mode, then miflash it.
google - xiaomi understanding download mode
it will send you into miui forum
then second method, download mode, it is what I've described

My redmi note 3 is stuck on the charging logo.when I try to turn it on it shows mi and then shows the picture of a phone and a USB cable I cannot bypass it ,cannot access recovery. When I try to access recovery it goes to the testing screen .

I think accidently you deleted your twrp recovery.you can give a try by reinstalling twrp via adb tool.

Can you tell me a way to unlock the boot loader through fastboot...
Press down + power to go to fast boot, insert usb cable phone to pc, open miflash app (download it here http://en.miui.com/thread-272376-1-1.html), select any fastboot rom version (Here is an example, http://en.miui.com/thread-543021-1-1.html , download fastboot rom for redmi note 3 pro, after downloading unzip the file if you see weird extension file just replace it to .zip and extract to see the files). After selecting the fastboot rom directory on miflash, make sure that your phone is detected as a fastboot device (if you can't see anything on the list on the app, recheck the connection), then select save user data on the bottom, then flash if there is an error, select clean all on the bottom then flash. Wait for the flashing to finished.

This guide above is to return back your phone to a working MIUI.
If you just need to unlock bootloader to flash twrp/custom recovery, then Unlock it via official method

I did that and now I have a new problem
The phone is not turning back on.When I tried to turn on it shows mi logo and turns off.when I plug it in to charger there is a red notification light starts to blink .What shall I do..??

Did you finished flashing? No errors or something?
Try to check your bootloader if it is unlocked or not, use method 2

Phone is showing no recovery no fastboot.Just stuck on edl mode.

I forgot to mention while flashing the fastboot ROM I pasted a file to the ROM folder to unlock the boot loader.will this be the reason why my phone got stuck in the black screen while the notification led blinks

what file did you pasted inside the rom folder? something like a unlock file for bootloader?
Maybe that's the thing why it didn't worked. The steps always work for me whenever I got into something.
Also, are you sure that you've downloaded the right fastboot rom for your device? Are you on redmi note 3 pro too?

So, i installed Xposed, and like many people, i got stuck in the logo... No big deal there... Went to look for some help, and it said to go to fastboot, so I went, but it got stuck in the fastboot logo. Then I connected it to the computer and when I try to list the ADB devices I Ialways get an error saying the server is outdated...
I really need some help! I can't find anything online to help me!

Edit: I submitted a bootloader unlock request to Xiaomi earlier today, but I can't see if its approved or not because phone doesn't work

I tried, but i cant seem to go to edl mode through fastboot, any tips? and because of bootloader lock i cant flash fastboot rom with MI Flash
Edl mode needs a specific fastboot version.
For the Redmi Note 3 Pro / Special Edition
Download and extract this package on your PC.
Enter fastboot mode by holding Power and Vol- at the same time. Wait until the Mi Bunny appears, then connect the phone to the PC.
Run reboot.bat in the extracted package. A command prompt will appear. Press a key to reboot the phone to EDL mode.
Upon entering EDL mode, the screen should turn blank. The notification LED might be blinking red. Done.
To get out of EDL mode, hold the Power button for about 10 seconds.

How you flashed/installed xposed on locked bootloader is another question?
You may need to update your adb/fastboot version + device drivers(adb)

Ok, so when i try to reboot in edl, it just reboots as normal after screen goes blank...
I installed Xposed with an APK

Installing Mi Flash should have put the correct drivers on your PC.
But can be got from here: - https://xiaomifirmware.com/downloads/download-pc-drivers-xiaomi-redmi-note-3/
And I already linked adb/fastboot tools.
IF your comfortable opening your device, there is also a test point method you could try.

Could not find a English video, so maybe try googling more and you might find one.
If not, you could ask at local repair shop, if they would fix it for you. Using Cable/ TP method.
Note for other readers:- MIUI roms need a special version of xposed, for it to work. And installing from an app would more than likely would have use the wrong version. Should never be done on a locked bootloader, only asking for trouble. (Rovo89 is currently trying to bring MIUI support to the official version for nougat roms)
After updating my redmi note 5 it works normal for one day and after that i restart my phone and it turns to bootloop .It start shows mi logo and then again starts .The whole continuous till battery is dead
My phone bootloader is locked so try to install twrp via unofficial method that is replacing original recovery.img to twrp(renaming it to recovery.img).But nothing happens after flashing when i go to recovery mode the whole screen truns balck and phone connected to pc via 900E port.
I am trying to recover it but nothing happens
This problem happens in past but i recover it because in that time twrp is install and the only thing is to mount some partition(not in memory which partition).
but this time no twrp plz help plz....

I get in fastboot mode but my phone bootloader is locked . I have flash my phone via test point method to its base ver rom but problem exist till now:crying:.
Anyone plz give the way to install twrp on this bricked phone and after that i can handel it.
