Reverting to Stock from Custom ROM

Guys , some people are reporting that they are unable to revert to stock rom after flashing custom rom.
If you want to save your phone , then i highly recommend you to make a complete backup before flshing stock rom
go to cwm recovery and select backup/restore then backup (it will make your stock rom backup)
whenever you want to revert , go again to clockworkmod recovery and select restore under, backup/restore option
now last and most important thing to run stock rom ---> flash stock kernel using fastboot method
first grab stock kernel to do that , download your phones stock firmware from here = http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=10885406#post10885406
using 7zip extract kernel.sin file from .ftf firmware file
connect your phone in fastboot mode and run this command
fastboot flash boot kernel.sin
I'm doing it again and again without any problem.. just be sure to flash stock kernel before flashing stock rom.
thanks, i will try this method too
first flash stock kernel , then using flashtool flash firmware , am i right ?
Stock kernel (kernel.sin) is included in the package (of official stock firmware). So everytime you flash an official stock firmware, kernel.sin is also flashed. No need to flash kernel.sin before flashing stock firmware. Correct me if im wrong.
I also think same , i tried that method by noooooob and it worked too

yes you have to unlock boot-loaders first
i recommend to unlock by this method = http://androidflip.com/unlock-xperia-phones-bootloader-without-losing-drm-data-track-id-working/
if you want to install clockwork mod recovery then follow this = http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1384200
Install CWM without unlocking bootloader
You don't need to unlock the boot loader to install CWM.
Follow instructions here to root First
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1320350
Install CWM using this tool

This is how I did it on my Ray
I always considered flashing with Wotanserver to be the best way to go back to stock. It basically takes care of everything. Sure, you'll have to root again afterwards, but that's not exactly very hard.
wotan server is also a good choice

download firmware which you have before installing custom rom, then flash it using flashtool.

Stock ROM E2333

Hi,
yesterday I have tried to flash AOSGP rom on my phone. I was successful but the rom was not recognizing any sim-card. Restoring the original system failed because the backup file was broken. So I tried to flash the FTF for the E2333 but this image reboots the phone a few seconds after bootup.
Please can anybody provide a newer image for the E2333 (FTF or TWRP)?
Thx

Android 6.0

You have to have a stock system partition to update to Lollipop or Marshmallow. You may be able to just flash stock recovery if you haven't done any other modifications.
Thanks i haven't done any other modifications so ill try to flash the stock recovery, do you know where i could get the stock recovery file from?

Download the stock ROM and extract and you should find the stock recovery as recovery.img in the folder.

Help! Can't flash stock rom

I've installed aosp with gsi but now i can't flash stock system.img with fastboot because i've got bootloop.
I followed all types of guide.
I've downloaded full ota and with the 3 files, update, update lx1 and another file, i've extracted system.img, recovery_ramdis.img and cust.img from update.app and flashed all files but the phone stuck in bootloop.
Can you help me? Because i don t like aosp and i can t install gapps
I usedHurUpater to flash a new stock ROM on my rooted and unlocked P20 lite. You can use the Firmware Finder for Huawei app in the playstore tot download the most recent stock firmware.
Good luck.
You don't have to flash cust.img
To restore your phone simply boot in bootloader, even with boot loop you can do it with the right timing.
Then flash system and recovery and do a full wipe.

1. See you can surely flash stock firmware there is no Risk unless and until you flash 4.4.2 and update it to 4.4.4 if you do it you'll most probably HardBrick your phone so my recommendation is to flash 4.4.4 or 5.1 and never update your phone via updater...
2. And yes you'll have to flash Twrp.img after flashing stock firmware as flashing firmware change your recovery to stock.
3. Yup motoboot.img is needed to flash.
4. Refer to the batch file I've attached.
