Dear @Petrows, is it possible to turn off visibility of the app in the status bar at the top of the screen, the bar that occurs when you swipe down from the top of the screen?
It is useful only once - a very long time to configure it and it shows all the time and takes the precious space that is needed for urgent notifications.
Is there a configuration file in which it can be changed?

It is required by Android OS - application working in background must show notification - otherwise it can be killed by the memory cleanup. In modern android versions there are more ways to do this, but in 4.4 version there is the only one possible solution.

It seems like in 2.17 the volume control method changed, with every increase or decrease now, the native volume indicator pops-up - that's extremely annoying, especially when you need to look at the navigation, or when a video runs on the screen. It's true that the old method was not perfect, but at least it was less annoying - maybe you can look into that a bit?

Problem solved, good job sir!
Now, I've discovered another little bug, if you don't mind: If somebody enters a non-integer value in the speed steps field (I've tried 0.5), the app crashes. Continuously. The only way to make it work back is to clear all app data. I don't think you are going to have too many users trying to modify the volume steps in such way (ie: I don't think it's worth a separate release just to fix this), but you might note it for a future fix.
Thanks for the update! The volume bar thing I thought was a problem with my ROM rather than your app. A clean ROM with Google Play ripped out of it, Spotify, iGo and this service makes for a perfect car headunit ROM. Well done!
Call from Android App doesn't work

First of all: thanks for your great app, I've been using it for a while on my previous MTCB with A 4.4.4.
Switched to an MTCD with Android 5.1.1 a couple of weeks ago, unfortunately I have not been able to make a call from True Contact. "Call number" toast shows up, but nothing's happening, is there any way I can provide you some debug information to find the cause?
Just noticed after sending this off: your app isn't intended to work with Android 5 units, or did I miss something?

MTCB 4.4.4 I'm afraid.

I´m a very big Fan of your Tool! I had used it for a long time for my RK3188 Headunit. Now I´m a PX5 User (Octacore, 2GB, Android 6.01) and i was a little bit shocked that your tool not work on the new platform. It starts but it does not change the volume on speed changings. Please create a version that runs for PX5 Systems. I would spend some money on a compatible version. Best regards!

Hello, for a project I am making an android coffee table and for some various reasons I need to somehow make a ROM that has everything stripped awa,y Bluetooth, WiFi, etc. All I want is fast audio processing and the app usbEffects from the play store. So basically it would boot up directly to us effects and have no options, no settings, no notification tray or nav bar, no launcher, etc. Nothing but that one app.Is this possible? Thanks in advance.

Reboot your device and spam the power button. This will disable the xposed framework and all the modules. You can then go and change the settings in the module or disable it and reboot.

Few things though:
It would be very nice that the things you mention in OP would be realized. I tried this on a GT-I9505 (galaxy mega 6.3) and such phone needs it for the keyboaard only IMHO. Other apps are no problem to have them fullscreen. So maybe:
- on per app basis (where keyboard is an app too)
- masterswitch in notification area or as widget (or any place that can be reached easily to switch keyboard to one side)

Ok, had to update to newest framework but the mod isn't working correctly
Nothing appears, just the title bar as seen on screenshot.
I'm currently running CM-based ROM (kitkat) on my N7100.
Not working on Sprint Note 3 running Sprint S5 ROM
This module tweaks the layout of volume panel on Android 5.0 (CM12 and derivetives without modded volume panel). It removes unnecessary padding and blank space.
Why?
With this module, the height of volume panel (when changing media stream) is half the size so it covers less video you're watching or game you're playing. The number one reason agains the default thick volume panel is watching/checking out Youtube video in portrait mode - volume bar just covers so much of the video.
There are already apps such as:
Noyze - Free, non-root, great and working but requires background service and doesn't provide access to priority mode
StatusbarVolume - Paid and not working on Android 5.0
Advantage
With this mod you will keep the stock look with all the shortcuts and just 50% panel height when changing media volume. Also without and background service.
Notes
I tried to make it transparent but didn't succeed.
Because of the nature of this mod, the height of expanded volume panel (and each volume stream) is also modified (checkout the screenshots).
This module has been merged into new module http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/mod-xposed-tweaks-cm-t3279109. Please check that module for any future updates.

can you add expanded volume pannel ? si i don't need to select to viev all sliders. i had this feature into CM11, but is missing in CM12.

Wanted to ask tho, could there be a way to change the size of the sliders? I the normal size is WAY to big obviously, but I find the smaller size a bit too small, so maybe add a setting to change the size, or even just options like "full/normal" "half height" and "compact"

Hi, I have this module installed on my Nexus 5 and it works great, but there's just one thing that's bothering me.
I attached a pic to show what I will try to describe.
There still seems to be some padding left on the bottom of the slider. I know it's not much but I just can't help it, it bothers the crap out of me. I'm posting this because I was hoping it could get fixed. If not, then it's fine because this is still much better then having it stock.

It worked when I was using it, not sure if it still does since I'm running stock again. You can try it, just make sure you know how to uninstall it if you get stuck on a bootloop.

You can use VolumeSteps+ with this

It works well and I really like that my real altitude is still used (though depending on the user this could be a bad thing). I would be happy to donate if there were two things added/changed. And second I would really like to adjust the speed, the current speed is too fast for my uses. If those issues can be addressed I will donate.

Thank you for your feedback.
The joystick is actually distance sensitive, so the more you push it in one direction the more delta is added to the previous location.
In the donation pack you can change the size of the joystick to make it easier to control.
Another "workaround" is to tap the joystick once or twice a second to get a lower delta speed.
The location is injected up to 4 times every second, but that really doesn't matter if there are no new Location objects created to the application you are injecting the location data to.

Could you possibly add a variable top speed then? I don't really want to have a larger joystick but it is hard for me to make it go slow. When watching my location in google maps it doesn't seem to be updating 4 times a second and it's pretty jerky but that doesn't really bother me much. I'm going to go ahead and donate now but I would love continued updates

I'm sorry, I'm not sure I'm following you. You mean that you want to click on the map and make the injected position "glide" to that position on the map over a specified time (speed)?

It does request GPS Location when the map is open. However, it does not show any GPS info.
It is a passive injector, meaning it only replaces the location of existing Android Location Objects in the selected applications.

I just published version 2.0 which include your requested function. Activate it by long pressing on the map and select GLIDE and then select a speed.

I believe I have found two bugs in the app.
The first one is when I have to set the speed for the glide function. They automatically appear in x,yz format, but I have to replace the commas with dots in the m/s, otherwise it'll show the message that it has to be at least 1 m/s.
The second one is when I choose to glide over a great distance (say 5 km), it'll glide in a much faster speed than what I had set in the options. It works fine for shorter distances though.

I can not reproduce your first problem... I enter a speed in km/h or mi/h and m/s are calculated with a dot for me.
What device and version do you use this on?

I've been trying to go from here:

So what happens is when I open the Glide dialog this shows up:

I have to change the comma for a dot in the m/s space and it'll work, but for some reason if I glide over great distances like those in the coords, it'll glide in a much faster speed.

I have to change the comma for a dot in the m/s space and it'll work, but for some reason if I glide over great distances like those in the coords, it'll glide in a much faster speed.

I found the problem with the comma, however the glide function need some more thinking. I'll push an update when I have a solution.

I’m considering buying this phone and I’m heavily into customization, I have a few questions about what you can do to S10 Lite to personalize the experience and how far it’ll let me change things before I have to resort to root or custom ROMs that are risky and missing for now.
First, about the themes, I found two good customization apps for Samsung devices, Good Locks and #hex Installer, can you use together?
What’s the extent of their customization, using both or the best of them if you can only have one working, can you:
1. Have a custom accent color system wide? So the same color for toggles, volume slider, highlights, colored text, notifications, quick settings etc/ like on stock android?
2. Can you change quick settings buttons background shape?
3. Are you able to switch recents view to a vertical stack of cards with the clear button bottom center?
4. Can you change icons for individual apps with stock launcher?
5. Change the navigation bar height, button size and spacing between them?
6. I like two fonts, Ubuntu and Google Product Sans, is any of them available?
7. Where can I check Good Locks availability in my region? Also, can it become unavailable with updates?
8. Do 3rd party customization apps from play store work? Kwgt, Custom Volume Sliders, Custom Navigation Bar etc.?
Next, I have a few questions regarding general usability:
9. Can you get rid of google assistant/bixby? They can be installed, I just don’t want to ever see them or have them running when not launched.
10. Does the Always on Display work well, is it actually always on?
11. Can you have the AoD show 3rd party app icons with a notification counter?
12. Does it have any problems with 3rd party launchers, Nova specifically?
13. Have you tried the Non-root version of YouTube Vanced? Does it work without issues? Can you install it with MicroG and log in?
I’ve also heard that Samsung’s OneUI likes to kill apps and prevent them from running in the background.
14. Did you have any issues with widgets getting stuck, becoming unresponsive, not updating and not working properly in general because they get killed by the system, did you have any issues like this?
15. Did you have any problems with 3rd party app notifications? Are you getting notifications from 3rd party messaging, email and other apps? Do they still come in when the screen is locked and the phone is in deep sleep?
I’m sorry in advance, I know it’s a lot but I’m very used to having the phone set up my way and I don’t want to spend this kind of money only to have to immediately root it or put up with a phone that doesn’t work properly for me.

7 Good lock is working fine. In my country is not available but no problem. You can download the apk, everything works. If you know what good lock can do, then most of your questions (1,2) are replied as you can change notifications colors etc, at least what good lock is letting you change. Also 3 yes, with good lock.
5 by changing dpi through developer setting you can shrink everything so shrink navigation bar. Other navigation bar apps also works.
8 kwgt etc working fine.
9 yes. Froze them and anythings else you want by package disabler pro app.
10 works fine. You select if you want it or not.
12 nova works fine. I actually can't answer about samsung launcher as i always use nova. If you use it, then most of your questions also being answered as you know what nova can do.
13 yes to all, i use it always. (I use the hacked completely black amoled version, not the gray one, last version).
14 I have a problem actually with 1 widget, eWeather. Is somehow change size some times, and when go to its nova page, it changes ok again.. But i haven't problems with any other.
15 I don't have any problem with notifications but phone is a bit strange. It has 2 deep sleep apps somehow and need to untick the apps you want to have notifications to both of them. It reminds me xiaomi
It is good as due to this probably it has amazing battery. But it is a bit aggressive i think. Some times i lost some notifications but it was probably my fault, I'm not sure. Anyway i don't think there is a problem there. But better have more answers to this.
My opinion is that the phone is fantastic especially in battery, but its all about what everyone needs more.
Perhaps my video there, the comment, some hacks, the description and xda link there may help you, read it. I updating everything useful i find by writing new comments there, so anyone interested check it by time to time. Most things i post there are working to most samsung phones.

Again, I can answer a few. Mine is completely stock (not rooted). I may have needed to change settings when I bought the phone, but I don't recall which ones.
9: I don't know about getting rid of the assistants, but I've never even noticed that they're present, so they're unobtrusive.
10: Yes, Always On Display does what you expect. I have mine set to switch off overnight, but that's entirely optional.
11: Yes, I get notification counters on things like Aquamail.
12: I've been using Nova since the day I bought it. No problems.
14/15: For context, I get annoyed by these kinds of issues, and I won't buy another Huawei phone for exactly these reasons. On the S10 Lite, as currently configured, I get all notifications and widgets update as expected (agenda, Google Keep etc.), so I'm happy enough. I had to turn off 'Adaptive Power Saving', 'Adaptive Battery' and 'Put unused apps to sleep' to achieve that, though, and I've added a number of apps to 'Apps that won't be put to sleep'.

Ah, sorry, misunderstood. I get 3rd party notification icons on the AOD but I've not seen a counter, I'm afraid.

Am using Finelock & #hex installer. There is no problem whatever.

I don't understand why.. One file name has the word "black" so i dont think i mistaken the files..
Try setting, go to general, display, and then choose the black theme therel settings - vanced setting - display settings (or something like this, i translate from my language), and there is also a black theme setting there. Although i does think this is the problem..
Try also the new version here :
